COSTA MESA – A boy struck while playing soccer by an unlicensed and undocumented driver will need several surgeries to regain the use of his right leg, police said Sunday.
The 7-year-old Costa Mesa boy was in an alley when police received a call at 5:54 p.m. Saturday from a home in the 1000 block of Valencia reporting that an accident had occurred, police Sgt. Joyce La Pointe said."
