There has been a drastic reduction in the amount of debt being shouldered by Americans, according to the results of a recent study.
The Federal Reserve Bank of New York released its Quarterly Report on Household Debt and Credit, this week. It shows that consumer debt continues its downward trend of the previous seven quarters. Since its peak in the third quarter of 2008, nearly $1 trillion has been shaved from outstanding consumer debts."
