Fear and pride omnipresent.

I fear more than anything it was.
If that be the case....we know all those wonderful, brave giving souls who gave their last full measure of devotion will have died for....?.....They will have died for us.

I am a gun owner....I treasure my Permit as 99.9% of the law abiding permit holding citizens do. I have a great respect for the power of the firearm.....we aren't the yahoo's breaking the laws....right now I'd check out Eric Holder.......

In less than six weeks, 56,000 people applied for a permit under Wisconsin's new concealed carry law and thousands more bought handguns, swamping the state agency handling the required background checks.

The applicants so far amount to about 1% of the state's population, and very few of them have been rejected for a permit. The number of state background checks for handgun purchases is also up more than 50% for the year - another sign of the large numbers of people taking advantage of the new concealed carry law.

The festive display is set up along a main drive heading into Travis Air Force Base and features statues of Joseph, Mary and baby Jesus, along with a large Hanukkah menorah. It’s part of a bigger display featuring Air Force jets and Santa Claus. Such holiday displays are a base tradition, according to Sacramento ABC affiliate KXTV-TV.

Like a witness on the stand caught in a lie under oath, the Department of Justice has quietly admitted to “incorrect statements” about reckless “gun walking” tactics in “Operation Fast and Furious” with a 1,400 page document dump on Friday.

Now the DOJ appears to be trying a series of slow-rolls, delaying tactics, and misleading statements to staunch the political bleeding.

Killers Convicted in Murder of Marcus Luttrell’s Dog.....

Finally somewhere in this Country someone IS responsible for their actions....

Marcus Luttrell, a highly decorated Navy Seal and author of “Lone Survivor,” is still hurting three years after the murder of his beloved Yellow Labrador, DASY, by a group of thugs in Texas.

Today, Luttrell has received some measure of closure, as two of the perpetrators who shot and killed his beloved companion have been sentenced to prison time.

Let's suppose that a foreign investor trades stocks on a U.S. exchange, but his broker is FATCA non-compliant. One day he buys 10,000 shares of XYZ at $25 per share, and the next day, he takes advantage of a nice uptick of $1.00 in XYZ and sells at $26 per share. He makes a tidy profit of $10,000. But because his broker is non-compliant, the IRS now withholds 30% -- not of the profit, but of the gross proceeds of the sale! So the client now receives the sum of $260,000 minus 30%. The foreign investor is unhappy because his $250,000 investment has become $182,000. If he wants his money back, he must file a U.S. tax return.

No investor would accept such conditions. Hence, an FFI must either comply with the invasive regulations of FATCA or simply abandon the U.S. markets.

Dozens of young Iranian men have entered buildings inside the British embassy compound in Tehran, throwing rocks, petrol bombs and burning documents looted from the offices.

The semi-official Fars news agency said security forces were trying to eject the protesters, who were a minority from a larger group staging an anti-UK demonstration outside the compound.

The agency referred to the protesters as students who were chanting "Death to America", "Death to England" and "Death to Israel" among other slogans.
