President Obama took on House GOP Leader John Boehner’s call for repealing financial reform before it’s signed yesterday.
But Boehner’s call was backed on 'GMA' by Richard Shelby, the ranking Republican on the Senate banking committee."

Editor’s note: There is hardly an expletive in existence that has not been hurled at Arizona’s recently passed immigration law. To its detractors on the Left, including in the White House, the law represents a cruel injustice – a nativist, racist and even Nazi-like subversion of state power. But as Victor Davis Hanson and Ralph Peters demonstrate in two essays in the Freedom Center’s urgent new pamphlet, Arizona’s Fight, America’s Fight, the attacks on Arizona’s law are not only substantively unfounded, but are symbolic of the Left’s profound distortion of the national debate about illegal immigration."

Washington, DC – While Mr. Obama golfs his way through the Gulf Coast’s oil-drenched environmental calamity, another crisis is looming across the Potomac. America’s military, in harm’s way in a two-front war, is about to get staggered by a double whammy below the belt. Unfortunately for those who wear our nation’s uniform, the Commander in Chief and his cronies in Congress are throwing the punches."

That wasn't the way the pantywaist Clinton-appointed Judge John G. Koeltl saw it in 2006 when he sentenced the radical anti-American lawyer who became a willing participant in an Islamic terrorist plot to a mere 28 months in prison-a fraction of the 30-year term the government sought.
But things have changed. The septuagenarian Stewart has been resentenced, this time to a 10-year prison term. It's about bloody time."

In the political marketplace, there's now a run on Obama shares. The left is disappointed with the president. Independents are abandoning him in droves. And the right is already dancing on his political grave, salivating about November when, his own press secretary admitted Sunday, Democrats might lose the House.
I have a warning for Republicans: Don't underestimate Barack Obama."

Seven years ago today, in a speech on the Iraq war, Sen. Ted Kennedy fired the first shot in an all-out assault on President George W. Bush's integrity. 'All the evidence points to the conclusion,' Kennedy said, that the Bush administration 'put a spin on the intelligence and a spin on the truth.' Later that day Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle told reporters Mr. Bush needed 'to be forthcoming' about the absence of weapons of mass destruction (WMD).
Thus began a shameful episode in our political life whose poisonous fruits are still with us."

WASHINGTON—Congress approved a rewrite of rules touching every corner of finance, from ATM cards to Wall Street traders, in the biggest expansion of government power over banking and markets since the Depression.
The bill, to be signed into law soon by President Barack Obama, marks a potential sea change for the financial-services industry. Financial titans such as J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and Bank of America Corp. may be forced to make changes in most parts of their business, from debit cards to the ability to invest in hedge funds."

Doctors to be given sole responsibility for overseeing front-line care
UK Doctors are to be given sole responsibility for overseeing front-line care to patients under Coalition plans described as the biggest revolution in the NHS since its foundation 60 years ago…The plan, contained in a white paper to be published next week, is designed to place key decisions about how patients are cared for in the hands of doctors who know them. Tens of thousands of administrative jobs in the health service will be lost as a result.

Jim Cramer Admits the Obvious: Obama's Policies Not Working:
CNBC's Jim Cramer appeared on Wednesday's Today show and pretty much admitted the obvious to Meredith Vieira, that all of Barack Obama's policies geared to help hiring are 'not working.' On to talk about the Dow dropping on Tuesday, Cramer pointed out 'there's too much fear' about what the Obama administration will do about taxes, which led to Today co-anchor Vieira to question 'Do you believe the President's policies are creating the conditions necessary for businesses to hire?' To which Cramer bluntly stated 'they're not working.'"

Updated: Chris Matthews Highlighted Faulty Daily Kos/Research 2000 Poll on Hardball:
With the news that Daily Kos founder Markos Moulitsas is suing the polling group Research 2000 for providing 'bunk' results that his Web site published, the question has to be asked: Will those figures in the media who've advanced Daily Kos poll results, like MSNBC's Hardball host Chris Matthews, let their viewers know of the suspect data? Back on the February 2, 2010 edition of Hardball, Matthews as part of his Sideshow segment, alerted viewers to the results of 'a wild new poll of Republicans' that showed 58 percent of them didn't believe or weren't sure that Barack Obama was born in the U.S. and 64 percent of GOPers agreed or weren't sure that the President was a 'racist who hates white people.' Matthews granted the poll so much credence he cited Research 2000's discovery that 68 percent of its Republican respondents wanted Obama impeached as that day's 'Big Number.'"

Robert Wright’s idiocy is truly a sight to behold. For those of you who don’t know who he is (and I don’t blame you), he’s the editor-in-chief of a blog nobody reads and a weekly online opinion columnist for a pathetic newspaper in decline. Despite his irrelevance, I think it’s important to point out his foolish misunderstanding of the global Jihad. His June 29th NYT opinion piece, The Myth of Modern Jihad is an attack on a Daniel Pipes article and an assessment Faisal Shahzad’s recent guilty plea as the failed Times Square Bomber. Wright, as do many other progressive knuckleheads and half-wits, suggests that we may be able to win the war against Jihadists if we would only immediately withdraw from Afghanistan and stop using military force against Muslim countries altogether."

The incident occurred in February when Israeli ambassador Michael Oren spoke at UC Irvine. According to the disciplinary committee’s findings, members of the Muslim Student Union (MSU) disrupted the speech by standing up and yelling, one after the other, creating a chaotic situation in which the speaker could not continue. Even after warnings and entreaties from faculty and administrators present at the speech who pleaded with the students to affirm the principles of free speech and an open dialogue on campus, the MSU continued its obstruction. Finally, Ambassador Oren was forced to abandon his address."
