Ohio Unions Out-Spend, Out-Spin to Beat Back Reform....
I just don't get the laziness of Voters. That they allow 30 second sound bites to frame an entire issue...hell, their entire future and that of their Grand kids!
Last night's debate a classic example. 30 second can make or break an entire career? Please.
The right to vote is so very scared. Paid for with so much blood. Blood that was spilled by the finest among us.
Yet we treat it as an afterthought...if even that. We allow ourselves to be puppets, manipulated. Made to look foolish.
Though the Wisconsin union circus produced widespread union-reform fatigue, you might be wondering what went wrong with Issue 2 in Ohio. As an Ohio conservative who happened to start researching government unions a few months before the General Assembly tackled reform, here’s my educated guess!
Executive summary: The unions spent several boatloads on dishonest class warfare, and Ohio voters failed to see through it.

Ron Paul: Obama Presidency On The Verge Of Being A "Dictatorship" ...
Don't usually agree with Ron...but here I say "Amen!"
"That is arrogant," Paul said of Obama frequently using the executive order function as of late. "It is flaunting the Constitution and the whole principle of how we’re supposed to operate. The idea they can just do this and take over the legislative function and brag about it -- and Congress does nothing and the courts do nothing about it, it's very, very bad."

No bias here, ey?
In only eight and a half days, NBC, CBS and ABC have devoted a staggering 99 stories to sexual harassment charges against Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain. In comparison, eight days into Bill Clinton's scandal's with Paula Jones, Kathleen Willey and Juanita Broaddrick, there were a combined eight reports.

Emergency Alert System: Why US is doing first national test now....
This 30-second audio tone and message will sound like emergency test messages that local television and radio stations have broadcast for nearly 50 years. But Wednesday's test will be the first time the federal Emergency Alert System – a last resort means for the president to address the country in a national emergency – has been tested on a national basis.
Busted! Two New Fed GPS Trackers Found on SUV.....Why?
OK...this is weird....
The 25-year-old resident of San Jose, California, says he found the first one about three weeks ago on his Volvo SUV while visiting his mother in Modesto, about 80 miles northeast of San Jose. After contacting Wired and allowing a photographer to snap pictures of the device, it was swapped out and replaced with a second tracking device. A witness also reported seeing a strange man looking beneath the vehicle of the young man’s girlfriend while her car was parked at work, suggesting that a tracking device may have been retrieved from her car.

If Cain wins, the tea party loses....
And the tea party was right. The problem with anyone who supported TARP is not that the bailouts were simply flawed or inefficient, but that they ever happened at all. The problem is with those arrogant enough to think the federal government should have the glaringly unconstitutional power to “intervene in the free market” to privatize corporate profits while socializing losses — all at the expense of the American taxpayer.
The tea party thought this was an outrage. Cain thought it was a necessity.

Perry's son discusses father's campaign...
“What ended up happening was as the field of candidates started coming out, my mom specifically was not very comfortable with the field and believed that dad was the best candidate out there with the best record and told him, ‘you know, you need to get out of your comfort zone and get off the sidelines and get in,’” he said. “It’s as I told some people, Ronald Reagan himself could have come back from the grave and told Dad to run, but it wouldn’t have mattered had my mother not been on board.”

Emergency Alert System test on Wednesday: FEMA and FCC tell Americans 'don't panic' ....
I am still wondering WHY?.....Why now?
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) are spearheading an aggressive public education campaign reminding Americans not to panic when they lose television and radio service for a few minutes on Wednesday during a test of the Emergency Alert System.

Supremes About to Decide Which Obamacare Cases Make the Cut
The highest profile petition involves Florida v. HHS, the constitutional challenge whose plaintiffs include officials from 26 states. Last August, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals issued a bipartisan ruling declaring Obamacare's individual mandate unconstitutional. Interestingly, that ruling has been appealed to the Supreme Court not merely by the vanquished DOJ, but by the victorious plaintiffs as well.
The Texas Tea Party Debate....
In 1858, U.S. Senator Stephen A. Douglas was facing a tough reelection challenge in Illinois from former Congressman Abraham Lincoln. A serious, reasoned America was at the height of debate over the fundamental human rights challenge posed by its contradictory maintenance of the vile institution of slavery, in the most path-breaking, classical liberal nation in the world.
It’s Time for Hollywood Conservatives to Come Out
So why is it newsworthy when someone in Hollywood admits they are, indeed, a conservative? Everyone knows that Kelsey Grammer is a conservative, yet he still works regularly. His former co-star, Patricia Heaton, also has another hit series despite her apparent drawback. It is news because, at least until now, they have been the exception. It is news because the Hollywood power brokers have set up a system that, until now, has kept conservatives too afraid to admit their true political views for fear of being ostracized from any future work in “the business.”
