‘Fast and Furious’ Gun Found At Site Where Mexican Beauty Queen Killed .....

A gun found at the scene of a shootout between a Mexican drug cartel and soldiers where a beauty queen died was part of the botched “Fast and Furious” operation, CBS News reports.

Authorities had said that Maria Susana Flores Gamez was likely used as a human shield and that an automatic rifle had been found near her body after the Nov. 23 shootout.

Critics however say these high-power weapons, capable of firing multiple rounds quickly, are too dangerous, since their high velocity rounds can pierce most body armor and
their magazines allow for mass shootings.

Yet, statistics show, unlike handguns or shotguns, rifles account for only a fraction of homicides in the United States. Of 12,664 murder victims last year, only 323 were killed with rifles, according to the FBI.

MSNBC’s Ed Schultz Talks Gun ‘Confiscation’ .....

I'd say before they take OUR guns away - we need a little "clarity" about "Fast & Furious"...?

Liberals always say they don’t want to take away guns. But give them an awful tragedy like the Newtown, Conn. shooting and they get bolder and more honest. MSNBC host Ed Schultz showed a rare bout of such honesty during a brief Twitter exchange Saturday. Schultz asked “Why should anyone own an assault rifle ?” and followed it up by saying “it's the confiscation of these types of weapons that counts and will have an impact.”

“The Ed Show” host wasn’t done his attack on gun rights. “The NRA needs to state the case why assault weapons are needed by anyone,” he claimed. And after that, he told one poster that “a Glock pistol qualifies as an assault weapon.” That last bit is surely a surprise to both gun owners and Congress which didn’t include handguns in its previous assault weapons ban.

Ultimately, Schultz talked of changing the Constitution to one person on Twitter. “We are the Constitution and we as a people can change whatever we want. Get ready Dude !” he wrote.

This report chronicles the U.S. Department of Justice’s management failures, specifically finding fault with five senior Justice Department officials for failing to identify red flags indicating reckless tactics.

Operation Fast and Furious Part of DOJ 'Deliberate Strategy'.....

The latest congressional report on Operation Fast and Furious revealed that the highest levels of Eric Holder's Justice Department were involved in creating a "deliberate strategy" to take down leaders of Mexican drug cartels.

Investigate reporter Matthew Boyle writes that congressional investigators determined the Fast and Furious scandal resulted from a “deliberate strategy created at the highest levels of the Justice Department aimed at identifying the leaders of a major gun trafficking ring.”

Investigators believe this "deliberate strategy" began to develop after speeches Holder gave one month after taking office.

Obama's Gun Control Not Working Out So Well In Chicago....

Chicago is the gun control capital of the United States. It has long been characterized by politicians like Barack Obama who not only view concealed carry laws with disdain, but even oppose the individual right to keep and bear arms.

Obama even opposed the right to use guns for self-defense in the home while he was a state senator in Illinois.

Just yesterday, Mr. Issa announced that he would issue subpoenas for administration documents relating to a program that pays bonuses to Medicare Advantage plans. Mr. Issa claims that the Obama administration is somehow manipulating this program (which was created by a Republican Congress under President George W. Bush) to mask the costs of health care reform. The Department of Health and Human Services handed over piles of documents on Thursday, as Mr. Issa demanded, but that’s not good enough for him.

Fast & Furious Ignored During Foreign Policy Debate.....

A foreign policy debate without Operation Fast & Furious is an epic failure. A government gun walking operation allowed over 2,000 guns to fall into the hands of Mexican drug cartels and are connected to the deaths of over 300 Mexican citizens and Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry. Hundreds of guns are still missing. We know of at least one other operation out of Dallas, TX that is connected to the death of ICE Agent Jaime Zapata.

Univision's report was better than nothing and did validate evidence uncovered by online journalist/bloggers who have been working hard to get the story out. Will the network's graphic images of the bloody Fast and Furious corpses, many of them children, be enough to rouse the major networks out of their stupor enough to follow the evidence into the Oval Office where the gun walking operation most likely started?

Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, the chair of the subcommittee on national security, homeland defense, and foreign operations, wrote to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, asserting that “multiple U.S. federal government officials have confirmed to the Committee that, prior to the September 11 (2012) attack, the U.S. mission in Libya made repeated requests for increased security in Benghazi. The mission in Libya, however, was denied these requests by officials in Washington.”

Univision report connects Operation Fast and Furious scandal to murders of Mexican teenagers.....

The Spanish language television news network Univision unleashed a bombshell investigative report on Operation Fast and Furious Sunday evening, finding that in January 2010 drug cartel hit men slaughtered students with weapons the United States government allowed to flow to them across the Mexican border.

“On January 30, 2010, a commando of at least 20 hit men parked themselves outside a birthday party of high school and college students in Villas de Salvarcar, Ciudad Juarez,” according to a version of the Univision report in English, on the ABC News website.

Paul Ryan: Eric Holder must go over Fast and Furious....

Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan agrees with presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s call for Attorney General Eric Holder to resign, or for President Barack Obama to fire him, over Operation Fast and Furious, a Ryan spokesman told The Daily Caller.

“The congressman agrees with the governor,” Ryan spokesman Brendan Buck told TheDC on Sunday, referring to Mitt Romney’s call for Holder’s resignation or termination over the gunwalking scandal last December.

Preview of Univision’s “bombshell” report on Fast & Furious.....

The Obama administration clearly hoped that the Department of Justice’s Inspector General report on Operation Fast and Furious would be the last word on the scandal. which has been tied to hundreds of deaths in Mexico and the murders of two American law-enforcement officials. However, a new report from Univision to be broadcast tomorrow, previewed here by ABC News, may put the issue back on the front pages. One source called Univision’s findings the “holy grail” that Congressional investigators have been seeking:

 That the AG didn't know about this far reaching program before February 2011 is only believable if one concedes Holder is a bumbling novice unfamiliar with the rule of law. Holder is no rookie. “I saw earlier that Holder is basically doing a victory dance and that he thinks this [inspector general] report exonerates him and there was no dishonesty with Congress — that’s just a blatant lie,” Quayle said in a phone interview. “I mean, he lied to me — to my face — during questioning, saying they had reviewed the wiretap applications after the fact and claiming that there was no reference to gunwalking, which is blatantly false.”

Gun Sales Hinge on Obama Re-Election .....

The Sidney, Neb.-based retailer and other companies in the guns-and-ammo business say if Mr. Obama wins a second term they are preparing for a surge in sales—the same as they saw after he was elected in 2008—from buyers fearful the president would back policies to make buying a gun more difficult. If Republican challenger Mitt Romney wins, though, the chain plans to stock more items such as waterproof boots and camouflage hunting gear.
