Cal Thomas: More of the same....
As with previous Congresses, this one (again) delayed the debt issue for two months and will have to face it again, along with what to do about the debt ceiling. Only expletives that can't be printed in a family newspaper accurately characterize this bunch, so I'll have to settle for pathetic, unprincipled and irresponsible.

Obama to 'Quickly' Go for Immigration Reform and Gun Control....
I feel the reason the Obama Administration makes "everything" that happens in DC these days a "crisis" situation is that they feel it will eventually wear people down.
Heck, it is already. They believe they can wear us down to the point we don't even watch anymore.
That "my vote doesn't make a difference" mentality.....we must NOT allow this to happen.
Not to sound dramatic..but our Country and the very Constitution it was created from are in serious danger. Their only protection will have to come from "We the People"....
"The timeframe is likely to be cheered by Democrats and immigration reform advocates alike, who have privately expressed fears that Obama's second term will be drowned out in seemingly unending showdowns between parties."
The outlet claims that it is "unclear what type of immigration policies the White House plans to push in January."
No details on what sort of gun control legislation the White House will seek were offered in the article.

Krauthammer: Cliff deal ‘surrender’ ......
“Look, there are a lot of conservatives in the Republican caucus in the House who hate the bill for good reason. This is a complete surrender on everything,” he said about the ratio of tax hike to spending cuts.
On Fox’s “Special Report,” Krauthammer offered his prediction on how House Republican leadership will proceed.

This Prediction From the CBO Shows How Wrong They Were About The U.S.’ Economic Future
“Instead of publicly-held debt as a share of GDP being a microscopic 7.4% this year, it was closer to 74% – or 72.8% to be specific (as of the August update from the CBO),” Pethokoukis explains.
Yes, our national debt as a share of GDP is approximately 74 percent. This is absolutely unsustainable.

Blacks Enslaving Themselves.....
In other words, is he a race traitor? Because that’s at the heart of Parker’s blatantly racist suspicion. Black Democrats – and Parker clearly is one because he obviously considers a black Republican to be a “cornball brother,” which is very derogatory slang – put enormous pressure on fellow blacks to be “down with the cause” or else be written off as “not one of us.” The threatening message to other blacks is: Define yourself by your skin color first and foremost. Don’t think for yourself. Keep racial grievances alive. Then we’ll get along just fine.

Americans believe public workers better paid and more secure (Bingo!).......
You may have noticed some economic difficulties across the country in recent years among family, friends, neighbors, colleagues. One sector is doing quite nicely, however, under Barack Hussein Obama.
In the 1,420 days since he took the oath of office, the federal government has daily hired on average 101 new employees. Every day. Seven days a week. All 202 weeks. That makes 143,000 more federal workers than when Obama talked forever on that cold day in January of 2009.

Obama's Tax Increases Fund Government for Eight Days.....
It's nothing more than a Class Warfare power grab....it's all about "Fairness"...who's?
The problem is that the rich don't have enough money to put so much as a dent in America's $16 trillion national debt. "If the IRS grabbed 100 percent of income over $1 million, the take would be just $616 billion," writes John Stossel. "That’s only a third of this year’s deficit. Our national debt would continue to explode."

Legislature grants raises to staff, despite fiscal crunch.....
DO you know who they are?????!!!
Legislative leaders quietly handed out pay raises to their staff last week, despite a looming budget crunch that has prompted Governor Deval Patrick to freeze pay raises for low-wage human services workers and weigh a new round of spending cuts.
The Truth About Pledges .....
"An unlimited power to tax involves, necessarily, a power to destroy; because there is a limit beyond which no institution and no property can bear taxation." --John Marshall
The Fiscal Cliff: Absolutely everything you could possibly need to know.......
Analysts disagree on exactly how quickly the recession would begin. That’s why the “cliff” metaphor is inapt. If financial markets freak out, it might happen very quickly, proving the “cliff” imagery correct. But it might happen gradually, affirming those who’ve argued it’s a “slope.”
Claptrap About Compromise.....
Today's redistributionists in America don't have bank robbery in their pasts but they do accept organized theft as the norm of politics. They see all wealth belonging to the state automatically, which is why they count all tax cuts as "government spending" and why they feel entitled to hike up taxes whenever a self-inflicted "crisis" appears.
Taxpayers didn't cause the "fiscal cliff" emergency; derelict pols did. But the taxpayers, not the pols, will pay for it. To pay off their debts, pols will first rob the rich and then move on to the middle class, where much greater potential tax revenue resides.

D.C. Suburb Spending $100K on ‘Application Assistance’ for Illegals Seeking Obama's 'Deferred Action'......
Run for the hills...all hope is lost.......JEEZ!
Officials in Montgomery County, Maryland, an affluent suburb of Washington, D.C., voted to approve $100,000 of public money to help illegal aliens sign up for President Barack Obama’s administrative amnesty program for certain young illegal immigrants.

Magical thinking about Amnesty......
Interesting case against Amnesty...
Instead, California is living proof of the harmful economic impact caused by mass immigration. Over the last two decades, California grew by 10 million new people, but gained only 150,000 new taxpayers. As a study by a team of economic and public policy professors found, "From the mid-1980s to 2005, California's population grew by 10 million, while Medicaid recipients soared by seven million; tax filers paying income taxes rose by just 150,000; and the prison population swelled by 115,000." This is the make-up of a demographic and economic catastrophe, and it is the open borders Republican model for the rest of the nation.

Jackson Jr. won’t resign until he gets disability pay......
Sources tell FOX 32 News that Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. is willing to give up his 2nd Congressional District seat if he's given disability when he steps down.
Jackson Jr. was re-elected to his tenth term but last month, sources say, he applied for a disability package--what could be his only income if he resigns. It is expected to take a couple of weeks for Congress to approve or deny the request.

5 Reasons Amnesty Would Be Political Suicide For The Republican Party....
BOTH Parties spend their lives pandering....granting some form of Amnesty with the caveat we'll fix immigration THIS time!....never fix it...
Pander....grant some form of amnesty....SWEAR this time will be different and we'll "FIX" immigration....never fix it......yada...yada....
If we aren't going to do something about FIXING the immigration policies, department and mind set....what is the point? We need to go back to SQUARE ONE and FIX this...Then decide what to do with everyone already here....
There is absolutely no reason whatsoever to assume that the GOP would be able to capture the Hispanic vote if we pass an amnesty. None. Zero. Zilch. If that's all it takes, well, keep in mind that Reagan signed on to a "one time" comprehensive illegal immigration plan while he was in office. So, if it's all about amnesty, why aren't Hispanics already voting Republican? By that same logic, why aren't all black Americans voting for the Republican Party today since, percentage wise, more Republicans voted for the 1964 Civil Rights Act than Democrats?

Foodstamps Surge By Most In One Year To New All Time Record, In Delayed Release.....
Funny, ey? Release delayed until after the election...and I hear the usual crickets chirping....how long do crickets live? These poor guys have been chirping at the Drive-By Media's silence so long...they need a break!
There was, however, another closely tracked number which perhaps is far more indicative of the economic "growth" in the past 4 years, which certainly had a delayed release. The number of course is that showing how many Americans are on foodstamps, and usually is released at the end of the month, or the first day or two of the next month. This time the USDA delayed its release nine days past the semi-official deadline, far past the election, and until Friday night to report August foodstamp data.

Four more years to crush personal freedoms.....
Only in America can a president who inherits a deep recession and whose policies have actually made the effects of that recession worse get re-elected. Only in America can a president get re-elected who wants the bureaucrats who can’t run the Post Office to micromanage the administration of every American’s health care. Only in America can a president who kills Americans overseas who have never been charged or convicted of a crime get re-elected. Only in America can a president who borrowed and spent more than $5 trillion in fewer than four years, plans to repay none of it, and promises to borrow another $5 trillion in his second term, get re-elected.
What’s going on here?
What’s going on here?
A thank you note from an average American .....
Thank you, America. Thank you for re-electing Barack Obama.
Thank you for solidifying Obamacare. Thank you for ensuring that my health insurance rates will rise to the point where my employer drops my coverage. Thank you for future higher prescription drug prices, for lower quality care, for long lines to see my doctor, and for allowing a board of 15 people to determine my fate. Thank you, America.

Brown -- Not Good Enough.....
Really.....Warren has "stature"...really.....OK....if you say so....
In the end, Scott Brown was just too small to be a US Senator from Massachusetts.
Oh, there are plenty of things to say about why the race went the way it did -- and I'll write many of them when I've had a little bit of sleep.
But Massachusetts expects their Senators to be big figures. National figures. People who have purpose and stature.
Elizabeth Warren, whether you like everything she has to say, and whether she ends up being a good Senator, surely qualifies. You know what issues and passions drive her; you sense that she wants to shape the Commonwealth and the country.
You saw her speak in a major prime-time slot at the national convention; you saw her defend her ideas at a Senate hearing; you saw her on 60 Minutes and the cover of Time.
Brown is small, and grew smaller as the campaign progressed.

Obama's Layoff Bomb .......
The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported last Tuesday that employers issued 1,316 "mass layoff actions" (affecting 50 workers or more) in September; more than 122,000 workers were affected overall. USA Today financial reporter Matt Krantz wrote that "(m)uch of the recent layoff activity is connected to what's been the slowest period of earnings growth since the third quarter of 2009." Some necessary restructuring is underway in response to the stagnant European economy. But more and more U.S. businesses are putting the blame -- bravely and squarely -- right where it belongs: on the obstructionist policies and regulatory schemes of the blame-shifter-in-chief.
