President Obama's view of the world is in contradiction to anything that has ever succeeded. He believes that elites should manage and direct people's lives. This fatal conceit, as Friedrich Hayek referred to it, produces failure and misery wherever it is tried.

‘Al Gore Has Thrived as Green-Tech Investor’......

Despite the well-known failures and struggles of the renewable energy sector, former Vice President Al Gore has managed to profit handsomely from multiple “green” energy investments, according to a lengthy and surprisingly revealing Washington Post article.

And when we say he has done well, we mean he has done really, really well. Take, for instance, the fact that since getting into the business in 2000, Gore’s personal wealth has grown by approximately $98 million:

Obama's Layoff Bomb .......

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported last Tuesday that employers issued 1,316 "mass layoff actions" (affecting 50 workers or more) in September; more than 122,000 workers were affected overall. USA Today financial reporter Matt Krantz wrote that "(m)uch of the recent layoff activity is connected to what's been the slowest period of earnings growth since the third quarter of 2009." Some necessary restructuring is underway in response to the stagnant European economy. But more and more U.S. businesses are putting the blame -- bravely and squarely -- right where it belongs: on the obstructionist policies and regulatory schemes of the blame-shifter-in-chief.

Obama's Real Second Term Plan....

Obama would like everyone to believe that his second-term policies will address what he sees as the great inequalities and unfairness inherent in the American system. He wants to level the playing field. What he can't tell you -- and what most Americans are realizing -- is that leveling out America will reduce freedom, opportunity, income, innovation, and upward mobility in favor of a government-driven economy. With a government-driven society will come statism, and collectivism follows right on the heels of statism, which will destroy America.

During Monday night’s third and final presidential debate, President Barack Obama denied the charge by Republican nominee Mitt Romney that Obama had gone on a global “apology tour” after assuming office.

But a collection of clips of the president, assembled by the nonpartisan conservative group Young America’s Foundation, undercuts Obama’s denial.

Coal Miners Release Anti-Obama ad About ‘Lies’....

The ad is in response to an oft-repeated characterization (and Obama ad) that workers from the Century Mine were forced to attend a Romney rally. That was debunked in September and the Obama ad was supposed to have been altered to pull the footage alleging such a thing. The miners, however, are still upset enough about it to have released an ad of there own, which was partnered with a letter to the president:

Abortion activists hope that Vice President Joe Biden will portray campaign rival Paul Ryan as an extremist for being pro-life, but that might be a tall order for a former senator who supported a constitutional amendment to overturn Roe vs. Wade.

Joe Biden, D-Del., voted for the Human Life Federalism Amendment, which contradicted Roe by declaring that “the right to an abortion is not secured by this Constitution.” The Florida Catholic Conference of Bishops recalls the Hatch Amendment as a “turning point in [the] pro-life cause.”

Denver schools' attempt to spur student 'revolution' backfires ....

Obama’s Tax Deduction Lie....

Obama thinks the American people are stupid. ( Ya think !? ) Throughout the debate, Obama regurgitated his talking points about a balanced solution to the debt crisis. In the process he insulted the intelligence of every voter by intimating that the budget can be balanced by eliminating a few tax credits. No, he didn’t commit to tackling the tens of trillions in unfunded liabilities to Medicare and Social Security. He declined to confront the ballooning cost of all the welfare programs. The only thing he wanted to discuss was eliminating a few tax credits for oil companies and corporate jets.

Total Employment Rises 873,000 To Highest Level Since December 2008.....Huummmmmmm....

The unemployment rate decreased to 7.8 percent in September, a number certain to impact the presidential race.

Pundits have been saying for months this number had to drop below 8 percent for it not to be a hindrance to President Obama's reelection chances.

The economy added 114,000 nonfarm payrolls in the month according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics with gains in healthcare, transportation and warehousing.

Warren works with Dow Chemical during Breast Cancer bankruptcy of Dow Corning......

When Scott Brown hammers on "Lieawatha"...he is speaking to CHARACTER - something sorely lacking in Elizabeth Warren....

 Professor William Jacobosn, of Cornell Law School, uncovered that in 2002 Elizabeth Warren gave a sworn statement listing some of her law clients. When she released her list of clients prior to Monday's debate, Warren left off two of the clients Jacobson uncovered, Dow Chemical, and Owens Corning.

Dow and Owens Corning are involved in a joint venture called Dow-Corning which made breast implants. In 1997 Dow-Corning offered to settle with breast implant patients, who claimed that the silicone implants caused amongst other things Breast Cancer.

But let‘s put aside the specifics of Romney’s tax plan (what little there are) and his stance on Wall Street reform and focus on the notion that tax cuts and deregulation caused the Great Recession.

Did the Bush-era tax cuts lead to the meltdown? To put it bluntly, there is nothing to support this claim.

Final Thought: Who knows? Maybe Mitchell and MSNBC are waiting on the full, uncut audio of the Loyola conference to ensure nothing has been left out or selectively edited.

It’s a good thing that sort of attention to detail and even-handedness kept the networks from airing snippets of Mother Jones’ footage of that Romney fundraiser without any caveats. Oh, wait — never mind.
