Four more years to crush personal freedoms.....
Only in America can a president who inherits a deep recession and whose policies have actually made the effects of that recession worse get re-elected. Only in America can a president get re-elected who wants the bureaucrats who can’t run the Post Office to micromanage the administration of every American’s health care. Only in America can a president who kills Americans overseas who have never been charged or convicted of a crime get re-elected. Only in America can a president who borrowed and spent more than $5 trillion in fewer than four years, plans to repay none of it, and promises to borrow another $5 trillion in his second term, get re-elected.

Thank You for Re-Electing Obama
One of the BEST summaries as to why you better get out and vote Romney-Ryan!
As a soldier, I want to thank you for ensuring that I will have less than adequate protection in a field of military action now that the president has reduced military expenditures. In fact, "Aerospace Industries Association, a trade group, released a study that projected the sector would lose in the neighborhood of 350,000 direct and supplier jobs under [Obama's] automatic cuts." That will certainly help the already burgeoning unemployment rate.

A Huge Victory for a Principled Mitt Romney .....
Mitt Romney politely cleaned Barack Obama’s clock tonight. A lethargic and at times tired looking President Obama was out-hustled, out-facted, out-energized, and out-informed by Former Governor Mitt Romney. Completely unlike Romney’s convention speech, tonight he focused on strong economic issues, developed his philosophy of limited government, and convinced me beyond a shadow of a doubt that he is in fact a pro-growth tax reformer who wants to lower the rate, and broaden the base in a revenue-neutral fashion that will actually create jobs and spur the economy.

FCC Chair Defends Regulations, Calls FCC a ‘Cop on the Beat’ .....
Just another power grab where Government can once again try to pick the winners and losers.....can anyone say Solyndra and Evergreen....
Now, imagine if you will, the headline if this were GWB...
"Bush's FCC CHAIR TO RULE the Internet World with MONSTROUS POWER GRAB - the FIRST AMENDMENT is shredded!"
And what do we get right now on the News broadcasts..?.....crickets chirping...
Critics point to the lack of disputes between companies and Internet providers, noting that no provider has ever shut an Internet-based company out of the market or deliberately limited bandwidth. Critics also point out that the only case in which a bandwidth dispute has arisen – between Verizon and a music-sharing website – the two companies came to an agreement without the need of government involvement.

Mitt Romney’s Remarks are Another Chick-Fil-A Moment .....
What Mitt Romney said was true.
It wasn't meant as stump speak spoken in front of the microphones.
It was done in private....for a fund raiser. Anyone here can imagine what Obama is saying about we "Tea Partiers" etc.....my hair catches fire at the thought.
Mitt wasn't discussing the means tested folks who are desperate and are reaching out for help during this gawd awful economic "recovery"...yes, I wrote that with a straight face.
He was talking about the abusers...and we ALL know there are alot of them.
I believe Mass. may be the epicenter.
I bet most of us at one time or another have reached out for government help. I know I have and thank heavens it was there.
But I used what I needed to take the next step and then left it behind. That is what it is there for.
Don't blame Mitt for speaking the truth...
Blame Obama for destroying our economic future....
That off the cuff, off the record talk was what they needed to hear. Mitt Romney recognizes we have a problem with government dependency, as do a majority of Americans. But more importantly, Mitt Romney will improve the lives of that 47% by growing the private sector, not redistributing pieces of the economic pie.

DNC ad touches the Unholy Grail of anti-Constitutional thought.....
I heard this line on the news while I scrambled to get to my Plant...the one...ya know....that one "we didn't build".....and I stopped dead in my tracks.
If this doesn't encapsulate the difference in the two parties....nothing does.
I don't even know if I could call it the difference in the Parties, as much as a difference in our way of thinking. There are those of us who want the Government to GO AWAY....get out of my wallet....house, kitchen, car, cell phone, business, Church, sports arenas...
And then those who want that little government Tinkerbell floating around every move they make.
Pull yourself up by the boot strap mentality versus "Mother Russia" style all encompassing Big Brother....
Thomas Jefferson....yup...one of those "old pasty white guys" who wrote that pesky Constitution had so many great quotes....but I thought of this one this morning upon hearing the DNC beliefs laid bare last night...
"Experience hath shewn, that even under the best forms of government those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny."
Amen.....
Woops...I forgot....while the DNC Convention goes on - God goes out.......
The punch line is: "The government is the only thing we all belong to." (Forget about ending a sentence with a preposition.)
The degree to which that one simple sentence stands the U.S. Constitution on its head should take our breath away.
We, the people, do not belong to the government. The government belongs to us.

Steve Jobs's dire legacy: Devastating bad taste....
Android, after all, is guilty at worst of nothing more than the sort of behaviour that Jobs himself once gloried in — back in the days before he had nukes.
Yet he pushed the button. He may have been comfortable with the consequences for consumers, for the economy, for the ecosystems that drive innovation, of closing down competition.
The rest of us may think differently.

Paul Ryan, Ayn Rand and the Hypocrisy of the Media .....
Ayn Rand and Atlas Shrugged - should be required reading for every citizen in AMERICA! It's happening already.....
You can learn a lot about people from the company they keep, even if that company is in the form of ghosts on a bookshelf. And yes, when it comes to fiscal policy, Paul Ryan loves Ayn Rand.
The Washington Post published a long, belabored essay last week on what Rand‘s philosophies say about Mitt Ryan’s new running mate (funny, no one seemed quite this curious about Joe Biden’s library). And Dave Weigel at Slate published another, in which he admits that Ryan’s quoted Thomas Aquinas as a much bigger influence on his politics. But who wants to talk about some 13th century theologian — only known as the Church’s greatest philosopher — when Rand is so controversial?
