Electric Car Batteries Going Nowhere.....
Another green-energy-related company built on government subsidies is having trouble keeping its head above water.
This time, the scandal surrounds Chemical Power, a subsidiary of LG Chem. In 2010, the Obama Administration proudly gave Chemical Power a $150 million grant to build a vehicle battery manufacturing facility in Michigan. These batteries were to be used in two plug-in electric vehicles, the Chevy Volt and the Ford Focus.

Coal Miners Release Anti-Obama ad About ‘Lies’....
The ad is in response to an oft-repeated characterization (and Obama ad) that workers from the Century Mine were forced to attend a Romney rally. That was debunked in September and the Obama ad was supposed to have been altered to pull the footage alleging such a thing. The miners, however, are still upset enough about it to have released an ad of there own, which was partnered with a letter to the president:

Matt Damon's Anti-Fracking Movie Financed by Oil-Rich Arab Nation....
I love Matt...but he is a certified MoonBat. I saw the coming attractions to this film this past weekend...even the snippets were screaming BIG OIL SUCKS......
And I say....maybe...but what is our alternative?Isn't it also interesting that what is essentially a competitor of the US Oil concerns finances the film?
A new film starring Matt Damon presents American oil and natural gas producers as money-grubbing villains purportedly poisoning rural American towns. It is therefore of particular note that it is financed in part by the royal family of the oil-rich United Arab Emirates.

Alpha Natural Resources Announces it Will Close Eight Mines and Layoff 1K Workers .....
More recovery at work......
Crutchfield called it “a difficult day,” but said the shutdowns and layoffs are a necessary part of ensuring Alpha survives in what has become a difficult U.S. market, where coal companies face a dual challenge: a shift towards natural gas and “a regulatory environment that’s aggressively aimed at constraining the use of coal.”

President Obama Issues Executive Order on Carbon Emissions and Industrial Efficiency.....
Another "Law" of unintended consequences...only this one could break what's left of our economic back.....
Sure, it sounds nice and (like most things in this administration) it promises a great return on investment, but are there any possible downsides to this executive order?
“This is a fiat from on high for these utilities to change the way they process energy — an enormous capital expense and many of them are going to close down,” Levin argued. “And they only have eight years to do it as part of this ‘cap-and-trade,‘ ’green’ energy, ‘climate change’ bull crap.”
“You’re going to see your bills go up, up, and up some more. And you’re going to see brownouts and one day blackouts,” he added.

Energy Dept. e-mails on Solyndra provide new details on White House involvement .....
President Obama’s staff arranged for him to be personally briefed last summer on a loan program to help clean-energy companies, two months before the program was thrust into headlines by the collapse of its flagship, the solar company Solyndra, records show.

Rep. Issa: Obama's refusal to investigate 'Climategate' emails is 'unconscionable' - The Hill's Blog Briefing Room
Amen!!! Their true motives begin to become clear!
Rep. Issa: Obama's refusal to investigate 'Climategate' emails is 'unconscionable' - The Hill's Blog Briefing Room:
The U.N.'s decision this week to investigate whether some of its climate change research had been manipulated constitutes a 'direct rebuke' of the Obama administration, Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) said Friday.
The White House's unwillingness to open a similar inquiry could now only be characterized as 'a sad abdication of their responsibility to ensure that U.S. policies are not driven by corrupted science and data,' the congressman added."

Day Fourteen and Counting
Day Fourteen and Counting:
Alexandria, VA – For the fourteenth straight day, the three broadcast networks have failed to report on the great and growing ClimateGate scandal on their weekday morning or evening news programs. How to explain this?
Perhaps it is that ABC, NBC and CBS have not yet heard of the story, despite two weeks of non-stop reporting on and discussion of ClimateGate in a whole host of media outlets.
Perhaps the broadcast networks only trust their fellow liberal press outlets, like the New York Times. Perhaps they don’t realize the Times exhibited journalistic diligence on ClimateGate, with a front page story the day the story broke."

The Weekly Standard: Climate (??) Change Projection
The Huffington Post has major news -- with maps and everything -- on which parts of the country will be hardest hit by climate change just 100 years from now. Ryan Grim reports 'Small Midwestern States To Be Hit Hardest By Climate Change' per a study from the Nature Conservancy (it's the ignorant, anti-science, climate deniers in flyover country who are in such grave danger, you see, and our noble, liberal, coastal elite is just trying to save these backwards gun-clingers from the hellfire that awaits). The headline and accompanying graphic from the front page at HuffPo:"

Senator David Vitter Signs Pledge : No Climate Tax
Senator David Vitter Signs Pledge : No Climate Tax: "Senator Barbara Boxer, who will be attempting to shepherd cap and trade through the Senate, admitted that the process of advancing such flawed legislation necessitates buying votes. She is quoted in a National Journal story as saying:
“There’s so much revenue that comes in from a cap-and-trade system that you can really go to a person in a congressional district and get enough votes there by saying, ‘What do you need? What do you want? You can really help them.”"

The Flawed Logic of The Cap-and-Trade Debate by Ted Nordhaus and Michael Shellenberger: Yale Environment 360
The Flawed Logic of The Cap-and-Trade Debate by Ted Nordhaus and Michael Shellenberger: Yale Environment 360: "The Waxman-Markey cap-and-trade legislation represents the final absurd expression of the failed pollution paradigm that has defined climate policy for over a decade. The long obsession with pollution caps, targets, and timetables has produced legislation that, in the name of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 20 percent by 2020, will allow regulated industries to emit as much as a third more carbon in 2012 than they did in 2005 and close to 10 percent more in 2020."

House Plans to Tax Millionaires to Fund U.S. Health-Care Plan - Bloomberg.com
The Ants go marching one by one - Hurrah -Hurrah! The ants go marching one by one.....over a cliff....
We listen to this insanity and we march off a cliff like lemmings. Are THEY going to get Universal Health Care..... NNNnnnnnnnoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo....just we great un-washed masses...
OK....so, as a Small Business Owner....
1.) I spend and have spent approx. $54000.00 a year until last Fall on Health Care for my employees. Last year it went up over $65000.00 for the same thing and in this economy.....something had to give...
2.) We just got it back thanks to alot of searching, Fallon health working with us - and taking big cuts in coverage....
3.) Now you introduce Universal "Free" Health care to take care of the 40 million you say have none....( never mention the 250 million who do....do ya????).
4.) My "Wealthy" Suppliers who are buckling under the weight of the economy - these un-funded mandates and un-checked competition from Asia...will just pass that cost to me...
5.) I'm balancing the company on the head of a pin now.....in addition to the $50000.00 we are paying...I'll get hit with increases across the board ( that I can't add into my product because of CHINA! ) as well as being penalized an additional 8% for existing as a company...
6.) This doesn't even take into account the possible doubling of our electric bills due to Cap and Trade...That would make our Electric Costs - and this is after we damn near work by candlelight to cut costs...go from approx. $45000.00 a year to ....oh....rough guess.....$65000.00 and up....and up.....and up...because you KNOW they haven't even read the bill and NEVER figure out that pesky law of unintended consequences...That pesky little voice that keeps trying to tell you this Health Care bill will NOT work any better than Canada and/or the UK.....and Cap and Trade is just a hidden tax....even the environmental wacko's snicker at the premise it "helps the environment"...
I ask...why would I even stay in business......I already don't get paid often to keep things going.....after Obama is done...I'll be paying the company every week for the "honor" of serving the "Greater Good"...you know...."My Fair Share".....
Use your head.....we aren't this stupid....we KNOW better.......don't believe ANY of them for a second.....

Fuel tax could be replaced with by-the-mile road tax | McClatchy
I would HIGHLY recommend "required reading 101" - 1984!
Fuel tax could be replaced with by-the-mile road tax | McClatchy:
The year is 2020 and the gasoline tax is history. In its place you get a monthly tax bill based on each mile you drove — tracked by a Global Positioning System device in your car and uploaded to a billing center.
What once was science fiction is being field-tested by the University of Iowa to iron out the wrinkles should a by-the-mile road tax ever be enacted."

Green Hell: How Environmentalists Plan to Control Your Life and What You Can Do to Stop Them:
Behind the smiley-face rhetoric of “sustainability” and “conservation” – that warm and fuzzy public image that the environmental movement has cultivated for itself – resides a dark agenda. In Green Hell, Steve Milloy examines how the Greens aim to regulate your behavior, downsize your lifestyle, and invade the most intimate aspects of your personal life. He reflects on the authoritarian impulse underlying the Green crusade. Whether they’re demanding that you turn down your thermostat, stop driving your car, or engage in some other senseless act of self-denial, he argues that the Greens are envisioning a grim future for you marked by endless privation."

White House announces new lighting standards
Yup folks - he's changing light bulbs and writing condolence letters to the Jackson's while Rome burns!
White House announces new lighting standards:
WASHINGTON -- Aiming to keep the focus on climate change legislation, President Barack Obama put a plug in for administration efforts to make lamps and lighting equipment use less energy.
'I know light bulbs may not seem sexy, but this simple action holds enormous promise because 7 percent of all the energy consumed in America is used to light our homes and businesses,' the president said, standing alongside Energy Secretary Steven Chu at the White House."

Sen. Inhofe Calls for Inquiry Into 'Suppressed' Climate Change Report - Political News - FOXNews.com:
A top Republican senator has ordered an investigation into the Environmental Protection Agency's alleged suppression of a report that questioned the science behind global warming.
The 98-page report, co-authored by EPA analyst Alan Carlin, pushed back on the prospect of regulating gases like carbon dioxide as a way to reduce global warming. Carlin's report argued that the information the EPA was using was out of date, and that even as atmospheric carbon dioxide levels have increased, global temperatures have declined."

No Energy from this Executive
No Energy from this Executive:
As I've often said, in the short term, as we transition to renewable energy,' President Obama stated in April, 'we can and should increase our domestic production of oil and natural gas. . . . We still need more oil, we still need more gas. If we've got some here in the United States that we can use, we should find it and do so in an environmentally sustainable way.'
Does anyone believe Obama was serious about this? Given his practice of misdirection--saying one thing, doing another--no one should have. Now, nearly five months into the Obama presidency, it's clear he didn't mean a word of it. His administration is impeding, not promoting, increased production of oil and gas, as it is of coal and nuclear power."
