The Truth About Tax 'Fairness'......
President Obama has declared that the standard by which all policies and policy outcomes are judged is fairness. This video explores what it means for our economic system and our economic results to be "fair." Does it mean that everyone has a fair shot? Does it mean that everyone gets the same? Does it mean the government is supposed to play the role of Robin Hood, taking from the rich and giving to the poor? The surprising answer: Nations with free market systems that allow ALL people to get ahead are the fairest of them all.

Obama's Re-Election Case Rests On 5 Phony Claims....
Excellent Read! Pass it on!
That argument appears to be working. More people continue to blame Bush than Obama for the current poor state of affairs, and some surveys show that consumer confidence has recently increased.
But each part of Obama's argument is based on claims that are not accurate:

Obama’s Tax Deduction Lie....
Obama thinks the American people are stupid. ( Ya think !? ) Throughout the debate, Obama regurgitated his talking points about a balanced solution to the debt crisis. In the process he insulted the intelligence of every voter by intimating that the budget can be balanced by eliminating a few tax credits. No, he didn’t commit to tackling the tens of trillions in unfunded liabilities to Medicare and Social Security. He declined to confront the ballooning cost of all the welfare programs. The only thing he wanted to discuss was eliminating a few tax credits for oil companies and corporate jets.

The Tax Credit for Outsourcing Is Fiction .....
This is not too different from the “subsidies” for “Big Oil” that Democrats are always on about. There is some oil-industry favoritism in the law (in the tax code and elsewhere) but most of those “Big Oil” handouts are wide-ranging manufacturing tax credits and similar measures intended to encourage heavy industry in the United States. As with the Stabenow bill, the campaign allegedly intent on removing these favors would in fact simply exclude certain kinds of companies from exercising benefits normally available to most other businesses. It’s basically a bill of attainder against the oil industry.
Punishing businesses for making business decisions politicians do not like is banana-republic stuff; Barack Obama and his congressional allies should be ashamed of it.

Obama's Biggest Opponent Is the Truth ....
That claim has been thoroughly discredited, including by PolitiFact Virginia and editorials in this newspaper. Mr. Romney, unlike the president, is committed to cutting taxes for everyone, including the middle class.
Another ad says, "As a corporate raider, [Mr. Romney] shipped jobs to China and Mexico." In response, the Washington Post editorialized, "On just about every level, this ad is misleading, unfair and untrue." As recently as Sept. 17, Mr. Obama claimed in Ohio that Mr. Romney's "experience has been owning companies that were called 'pioneers' in the business of outsourcing jobs to countries like China." But that claim, too, is a fabrication.
