SEIU protesters outside a Mitt Romney campaign event in Ohio on Wednesday admitted on camera that they were paid $11 an hour to picket.
The video, posted to YouTube on Wednesday, showed protesters carrying a variety of signs including “SEIU for Obama 2012.” Some wore T-shirts in the labor union’s signature purple.
“We rode down here today,“ one man with an ”SEIU for Obama” sign said on camera. “They’re paying $11 an hour.”

To Get Past "47 Percent": It's the Culture, Stupid!
Get with it, Romney team. The public may be somewhat ignorant (i.e., may not follow issues and thus may not know information that all of us activists know), but the public isn't dumb. It can absorb economic arguments and ALSO take in cultural arguments at the same time.

A Young Mitt Romney’s Other Mission—Romance .....
On a recent cover shoot I asked Romney about the image and found out that around 1968, while serving as a Mormon missionary in France, a young Mitt made several photographs with the help of his LDS friends. He described how the photo was taken, explaining that it was playfully staged for his high school girlfriend and soon-to-be wife, Ann Davies. And do we need a new Constitution replete with all sorts of new "positive" rights, the likely loss of Second Amendment protections, and probably the vast expansion of federal power all to solve a budget crisis brought about by political gridlock? Seems to me that Levinson wants to use a nuclear bomb to kill a gnat. We don't need a new constitution to balance the budget - but a constitutional amendment would be in order.
And that's really the point. The Constitution makes it possible to fix what ails us through the amendment process. Is it hard to accomplish? Rightly so. The founders didn't want their descendants mucking up their handiwork unless it was deemed necessary by the vast majority of the people.

If Ms. Warren simply filed pleadings without first being admitted to the court pro hac vice, she would be implicitly representing to the court that she was, in fact, licensed to practice in Mass., and if she was not so licensed, she would have violated the court’s rules, and, in effect, have committed a fraud upon the court.

Cancer Patient Dyrk ‘Strong’ Burcie Inspires Firefighter Photo Project Across America ....

A 4-year-old Dallas boy whose battle with cancer inspired his father’s firefighting crew and firefighters across the country to post supportive photos on his Facebook page has passed away.
Dameon Burcie, who is a lieutenant in the Dallas Fire Department, said his son Dyrk died peacefully on Monday at the family home in Dallas.
Dyrk was “one of the happiest kids you could ever find,” Dameon Burcie said.
A 4-year-old Dallas boy whose battle with cancer inspired his father’s firefighting crew and firefighters across the country to post supportive photos on his Facebook page has passed away.
Dameon Burcie, who is a lieutenant in the Dallas Fire Department, said his son Dyrk died peacefully on Monday at the family home in Dallas.
Dyrk was “one of the happiest kids you could ever find,” Dameon Burcie said.

The Federal Voting Assistance Program website published an incorrect deadline for the return of returning military ballots in Wisconsin. Had this error not been corrected, thousands of Wisconsin servicemen and women could have been disenfranchised in this key swing state this November.

We Didn't Leave AARP...AARP Left Us....
As a kid growing up...I always felt my Dad was a pretty wise man.
A great History buff who turned his passion for America onto his children....
There are two seminol moments I remember with him...
One during the Vietnam War when out of the blue one evening he slammed down that day's newspaper - looked at my then 16 year old Brother and said "If this war goes on til' you are old enough...I'll drive you to Canada.".
Coming from a man who just bled red, white and blue ...it shook the house to it's foundation.
That was the day I began to question everything....
Then he got older.....
The second was more telling, and I thought of it when I heard the AARP audience booed Paul Ryan.
About 12 years ago, We were having a lively discussion in my Office regarding the national budget and social security.
I looked at my Dad and said it they don't get spending under control now, it wont exist by the time I get there...
He said "I don't care, as long as it exists now..."
I have never forgotten that....
I love my Dad to death and miss him like crazy.
But the comment seared into my memory forever...and it taught me a great lesson...
Question everything and everybody....and NEVER join AARP....Join AMAC!

Congressional budget analysts are now estimating that nearly 6 million Americans - most of them in the middle class - will have to pay a tax penalty for not getting health insurance once President Barack Obama's health care law is fully in place.
That's 2 million more than a previous estimate found, or a 50 percent increase. The average penalty will be nearly $1,200.

It wasn't meant as stump speak spoken in front of the microphones.
It was done in private....for a fund raiser. Anyone here can imagine what Obama is saying about we "Tea Partiers" etc.....my hair catches fire at the thought.
Mitt wasn't discussing the means tested folks who are desperate and are reaching out for help during this gawd awful economic "recovery"...yes, I wrote that with a straight face.
He was talking about the abusers...and we ALL know there are alot of them.

I bet most of us at one time or another have reached out for government help. I know I have and thank heavens it was there.

OK...My head just exploded......
Here are my thoughts about that...
Perry called the notion that businesses are built by individual initiative “a myth,” noting a broad liberal talking point about how one’s success is “supplemented” by “taxpayers who pay for schools, roads, laws and institutions that make business possible.” Perry went on to say entrepreneurs who get upset with the government just “may not understand” how important the government is for their success.
Here are my thoughts about that...
Elizabeth Warren by the numbers……
1.) "There is nobody in this country who got rich on his own.
Nobody…
You built a factory out there - good for you.
But I want to be clear.
You moved your goods to market on the roads the rest of us paid for.
Really? Last time I checked we – company owners large & small - paid road excise taxes…state taxes…city taxes, gas taxes….etc… that are supposed to fund this construction….. We also pay freight costs for all goods coming and going on those same roads…..taken care of by our – all of our tax money.
(Except, of course for the approx. 49% who have no skin in the game but take/get the most….)
2.) You hired workers the rest of us paid to educate.
Really? We pay property taxes….sometimes on both our homes and business locations. These are “supposed” to be utilized to educate our children…thus… our future “employees”.
Nobody out there paid for our college educations used to perhaps create this idea and/or business we now fight to keep alive……
3.) You were safe in your factory because of police forces and fire forces that the rest of us paid for.
Once again, those pesky property taxes…state taxes…never mind fees etc. we all pay…
Sometimes our own security in addition to our civic responsibilities……
And….again sometimes twice because of a business location.
4.) You didn't have to worry that marauding bands (Huh?!) would come and seize everything at your factory and hire someone to protect against this because of the work the rest of us did.
What in the name of GOD – ( yes, I have no problem including the word GOD in my platform ) …are you talking about?
We pay State, Federal, Corporate, Payroll Sales taxes…fees…permits…..yada yada each DAY, week – month, year that is supposed to fund all of this….
5.) Now look, you built a factory and it turned into something terrific or a great idea, God Bless! Keep a Big Hunk of it. (Why thanks….) But part of the underlying social contract is you take a hunk of that and pay forward for the next kid who comes along."
The “next kid” coming along can take the same risk….lose the same money, sign onto the same financial risks, work the same insane hours, lose countless hours of sleep with worry that the rest of us all did to CREATE our businesses…
To PROVIDE jobs for our employees and help pay taxes to the government that couldn’t survive a DAY without all of us because it doesn’t have a vehicle for generating ANY money of it’s own…
NONE without “We the People”……
So,YES, we DID build this…..
We will decide who we pass what meager profits along to…
.WE WILL DECIDE!

Nor could I find any protest from Carney when his former employer, TIME Magazine, praised The Book of Mormon as "bright and enjoyable, and good enough to make even a grumpy critic's 10 Best list."

Ryan Criticizes Obama on Foreign Policy...
But Mr. Romney’s blunt criticisms of the current administration went over well with this crowd. As Mr. Ryan was introduced, Bill Bennett, the conservative commentator and radio host, read Mr. Romney’s much discussed statement in full, earning a standing ovation. “The press jumped on to kill this truth in the womb, something it is well-practiced at,” Mr. Bennett said of Mr. Romney’s words.
