American Thinker: Green Police Aren't Just in Super Bowl Ads

I laughed out loud when I saw the Green Police Ad during the Super Bowl...then got quiet. Satire lies somewhere between truth and sanity....however, these days...INSANITY seems to prevail, and WE LET IT!
Of course, this article and it's DUMB policies emanate from the Peoples Republic of Massachusetts.....the home of Barney Frank.....NEED I say more?

American Thinker: Green Police Aren't Just in Super Bowl Ads:

If you've been watching the daily scandals destroy the credibility of the U.N. IPCC, then you might not realize that Cambridge, Massachusetts is in a state of climate emergency. This is not hyperbole, but an official policy order, passed by the City Council in May 2009, 'recogniz[ing] that there is a climate emergency' and requesting the City Manager 'to direct the appropriate city departments to increase the City's responses to a scale proportionate to the emergency.'"

American Thinker: An Obamageddon Snow Job

As I sat here scanning today's many news stories and as usual, got whiplash....
I saw where "they" announced Cap & Trade dead....then...alive!
I saw there would be no new Stimulus Package, then...there would...but no, it's a Job's Bill....?....it's alive!
Then the Health Care behemoth....it's dead, wait....NO!...it's alive...!!!!
I feel each day I'm watching news emanate from Dr. Frankenstein's Laboratory!
"It's Alive!!!" He cried....!!! No, not the good doctor, but Obama himself.
Each time we think these are going away, or dead.....they pop up again.
As I watched the "Big Bank Theory" last week - Sheldon, the braniac of the bunch, went off the proverbial deep end trying to deal with an onslaught of esoteric theories ( sound familiar?) and surfed under the ball cage at a Chucky Cheese knock-off.
Every once in a while he'd burst through the colored balls yelling BAZINGA! Then submerge again only to pop up 10 feet down wind once again championing BAZINGA!!! His friend tried to stop him, only to be met with one explosion after another of colored balls and cries of BAZINGA!
That's what it feels like trying to watch the Obama Administration....
As tired as we all are....We MUST stay the course.
We MUST stay on top of this....we can't let THEM Yell BAZINGA! Because when they do, it's because they have won....and that will be a great loss to America!

American Thinker: An Obamageddon Snow Job:

A snow job is defined as in 'intensive effort at persuasion or deception.' Thus, it stands to reason that Barack Obama remained undaunted during the biggest blizzard to hit Washington, D.C. since 1922. The historic snowstorm brought down the nation's capital, culminating a year-long 'snow job' administered by 'historic' President Barack Obama."

American Thinker Blog: Crippled By Blizzard, DC Announces New Global Warming Agency by Phone:

On Monday, the nation’s capital was still digging out from the weekend’s record snowfall that would effectively shut down the federal government for days. Making matters worse was the awareness among DC residents that their shoveling would require a repeat performance quite soon, as another major winter storm was due to hit early Wednesday. What a perfect day to announce the formation of a new federal agency to study and report on global warming."

Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.) on Tuesday used the D.C. snowstorm to make a political jab, saying that it provides evidence for global warming skeptics.

The conservative senator took to Twitter on Tuesday amid reports that the area is due to receive another 10 to 20 inches of snow this week:

It's going to keep snowing in DC until Al Gore cries 'uncle'

Some conservatives have echoed DeMint's sentiments that the snowstorm should poke holes in evidence backing global warming."

As D.C. continued to dig out from Snowmageddon and is keeping an eye on another storm system, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration was busy making a climate change announcement.

NOAA, part of the Department of Commerce, is going to be providing information to individuals and decision-makers through a new NOAA Climate Service office. “More and more, Americans are witnessing the impacts of climate change in their own backyards, including sea-level rise, longer growing seasons, changes in river flows, increases in heavy downpours, earlier snowmelt and extended ice-free seasons in our waters. People are searching for relevant and timely information about these changes to inform decision-making about virtually all aspects of their lives,” the release says.

Earlier snowmelt? That would be nice."

National Review's Jim Geraghty sums up Obama's America thus: 'Unsustainable is the new normal.' Indeed. The other day, Douglas Elmendorf, director of the Congressional Budget Office, described current deficits as 'unsustainable.' So let's make them even more so. The president tells us, with a straight face, that his grossly irresponsible profligate wastrel of a predecessor took the federal budget on an eight-year joyride, so the only way his sober, fiscally prudent successor can get things under control is to grab the throttle and crank it up to what Mel Brooks in Spaceballs (which seems the appropriate comparison) called 'Ludicrous Speed.'"

Here we go again. The pole vault and parachutes plan for killing America’s domestic oil and gas industry reared its ugly head again yesterday in the Obama budget proposal. With the job and industry-killing cap and trade national energy tax warming a back bench during an election year -- if not riding out the entire Obama Recession -- the new budget proposal (pdf, page 4) seeks to impose nearly $40 billion in new taxes on America’s domestic oil and gas producers.

These taxes won’t simply affect large producers like Exxon/Mobil or Shell Oil companies but will sound the death knell for the small businesses that comprise the overwhelming majority of domestic energy production."

The vote is part of her new two-track strategy to tackle things that won’t be included in a more sweeping bill — if Congress ever passes one — while giving her members something politically popular to vote on. American Thinker Blog: Why Obama's tax incentives for small business will backfire:

President Obama proposed to give tax incentives to small businesses to hire more people. This sounds like a generally good idea, unless you happen to have any practical experience which is sorely lacking in this administration.

Suppose you are a business that has held on to valuable employees for the last year at a great financial cost. You are now supposed to compete with a startup that has preferential tax treatment because he is hiring new employees. Or perhaps you must now compete with an existing competitor that was less financially sound and thus had to lay off workers. He may now get a tax break to hire them back. You must then compete with more expensive workers than your competition. Instead of creating an incentive to hire you may have created an incentive to lay off workers."
