After the meeting Kenneth was assaulted, beaten and stomped by angry SEIU thugs who were upset that a black man would be selling anti-Obama merchandise. Gladney was taken to the hospital following the attack."

When we refuse to allow our children to receive a trophy for participation, we are on the road to restoring the meaning of merit in our Republic. When we insist that no one is too big to fail, we will be able to learn from our mistakes, and when we demand that we are self-reliant, we will ensure that others can rely on us, not the government."

At least the weather in Copenhagen is likely to be cooperating. The Danish Meteorological Institute predicts that temperatures in December, when the city will host the United Nations Climate Change Conference, will be one degree above the long-term average."

It’s still 2,000 pages, and it still costs more than $2 trillion when fully implemented — and that doesn’t take into account a quarter-trillion-dollar doctors’ Medicare reimbursement. And it still sends struggling states new Medicaid costs that will force states to raise taxes or damage higher education or both.

And there’s a new government-run insurance program into which millions of Americans will be pushed when their employers drop their health care coverage as a result of this bill.

The House Democrats’ health care legislation will increase the budget deficit by $89 billion over the next 10 years, and would continue increasing thereafter, according to figures released today by the Congressional Budget Office [CBO] – a finding that directly contradicts the Democrats’ claims of deficit reduction. CBO’s analysis counts all Federal health costs – including a Medicare payment increase to physicians known as the “doc fix” – which House Democrats removed from their health care bill (H.R. 3962) to bring it up as a separate measure, H.R. 3961.

The so called “Freedom States Alliance” (what an oxymoron) and other anti gun groups are trying to blame the gun, the bullets it fired, and the high capacity magazines that were in it for the murders of soldiers at Fort Hood, and not the Muslim Jihadist fanatic who did the killings. Perhaps they would have preferred an IED. Obviously, IEDs are illegal and banned in both Iraq, and Afghanistan, but they still seem to find a way to go off."

For if we are at war, why is Khalid Sheikh Mohammed headed for trial in federal court in the Southern District of New York? Why is he entitled to a presumption of innocence and all of the constitutional protections of a U.S. citizen?
Is it possible we have done an injustice to this man by keeping him locked up all these years without trial? For that is what this trial implies – that he may not be guilty."
