Palin Power Coming On Stronger!

YOU GO GIRL!!!!!!! Love it!

Sarah Palin's latest 'in your face' to the Obama administration in defense of the Tea Party is guaranteed to infuriate the left and terrify the timid on our side. Sarah said, 'If we were real domestic terrorists, shoot, Obama would want to pal around with us, wouldn't he?'

Wow! I loooooooove this woman!"

31 American Special Ops troops killed in crash - NEVER FORGET!

A military helicopter crashed in eastern Afghanistan, killing 31 U.S. special operation troops and seven Afghan commandos, the country's president said Saturday. An American official said it was apparently shot down, in the deadliest single incident for American forces in the decade-long war.

The Taliban claimed they downed the helicopter with rocket fire while it was taking part in a raid on a house where insurgents were gathered in the province of Wardak late Friday. It said wreckage of the craft was strewn at the scene."

S&P Strips U.S. of Top Credit Rating

S&P removed for the first time the triple-A rating the U.S. has held for 70 years, saying the budget deal recently brokered in Washington didn't do enough to address the gloomy outlook for America's finances. It downgraded long-term U.S. debt to AA+, a score that ranks below more than a dozen governments', including Liechtenstein's, and on par with Belgium's and New Zealand's. S&P also put the new grade on "negative outlook," meaning the U.S. has little chance of regaining the top rating in the near term.

Glenn Beck Interviews Mount Airy Mayor Deborah Cochran, Potential 1791 Town

The mayor of a small North Carolina town is hoping Glenn Beck will bring his new clothing line to her town, after Beck issued a call looking for an American community to be the home for his 1791 line.

However, some of the town‘s residents reportedly aren’t sold on the idea, due to Beck’s conservative views.

In a video that aired on GBTV to promote the project, Beck said: “I believe that somewhere out there there is a town searching for a second chance.” The purpose of 1791 — named after the year the Bill of Rights was adopted — is to raise money for his new charity, Mercury One, and to invest in America by offering people jobs."

Arthur Laffer: Tax Hikes and the 2011 Economic Collapse

People can change the volume, the location and the composition of their income, and they can do so in response to changes in government policies.

It shouldn't surprise anyone that the nine states without an income tax are growing far faster and attracting more people than are the nine states with the highest income tax rates. People and businesses change the location of income based on incentives."

Ben Stein - Taking Stock

Amen....I think I'll go give my husband a kiss.....

The American Spectator : Taking Stock: "I have been reading about fiscal policy under Ronald Reagan in my father's splendid book, Presidential Economics. What I have learned or re-learned is that Reagan was confronted with a giant problem in his 1980 campaign.

The problem was budget deficits from the Johnson/Nixon/Ford/Carter years along with high inflation and a stubbornly high unemployment rate."

Al Gore: "We Need To Have An American Spring"

Funny...I attend Tea Party gatherings all the time...most I have with me is parking and Dunkins money. NOBODY has to "fund" us to attend....NOBODY. Just love of country and a deep belief in the Constitution....and.....while we are slinging around money men....how about George Soros, ey????

'There are people who are genuinely upset in the Tea Party. I understand that. But that movement was funded with seed money from right-wing billionaires, the Koch Brothers, and promoted on Fox News,' Gore said."

John Kerry: Media Has "Responsibility" To "Not Give Equal Time" To Tea Party

A "Tad" afraid of us, are you Senator? Afraid to battle us in the arena of ideas? Easier to just shut down opposing views? I think there is a book written about that - called 1984?!

Sen. John Kerry (D-MA) told MSNBC's 'Morning Joe' on Friday that the media has the responsibility to not give equal time or credence to the Tea Party's views:"

Carney: "The White House Doesn't Create Jobs"

No.....you are doing everything together to kill job creation!

Q Sort of to follow on that, why should Americans believe that the White House can create jobs when the unemployment rate has been so stagnant and the record is sort of anemic?

MR. CARNEY: Well, the White House doesn’t create jobs. The government together -- White House, Congress -- creates policies that allow for greater job creation. And that can be through tax cuts, for example, for working Americans; everyone who works pays a payroll tax. And the tax cut that this President pushed for, for one year, for this calendar year, he’s pushing for to be extended next year."

Chris Christie Defends Muslim Judge Sohail Mohammed Appointment

Love Chris...but the proof is in the pudding....look at Europe....

But it was a follow-up question on the fear of Sharia Law that set the governor off. “Sharia Law has nothing to do with this at all, it’s crazy!” he cried. “The guy is an American citizen!” He concluded that the “Sharia Law business is just crap… and I’m tried of dealing with the crazies,” adding with disgust and frustration that “it’s just unnecessary to be accusing this guy of things just because of his religious background.”"

Dow Bloodbath Could Herald “Great Depression”

Seven months after President Barack Obama gave a State of the Union speech in which he said the economy was in “recovery mode” and that “the stock market has come roaring back,” the New York Times today all but admits that America has entered a double dip recession following yesterday’s 512 point Dow plunge, while others go further, warning of a new Great Depression as markets continue to plummet today."

Ron Paul Says Debt Super Committee is Monstrous and Unconstitutional | Video

Amen....If this doesn't get your attention - NOTHING will....

Texas Congressman Ron Paul was interviewed by Lou Dobbs on Fox Business News yesterday, and pulled no punches in his assessment of the “monstrous” debt super committee. He expressed dismay that Congress wanted to abandon its responsibility to legislate to a small committee, asking:

“Where in the world did that come form and what is that going to lead to? That is monstrous. I keep looking and looking and I cant find any place in the constitution where we have the authority to create such a creature as the super congress.”"

Dow’s losing streak now in ninth day

How does that bumper sticker go...."And you thought Jimmy Carter was bad?!"....

The last time the Dow Jones Industrial Average /quotes/zigman/627449/delayed DJIA -4.31% did that, in fact, was Feb. 22, 1978, when Jimmy Carter was president and the country was struggling to come to grips with a period of anemic economic growth and high inflation.

Isn’t it comforting to know that we’ve made such progress over the last three decades?"

The Austrians Were Right, Yet Again

"Maybe it was possible to be fooled in 1932, but, really, most every attentive observer should have wised up by 1936. But to then go through round after round after round of failed stimulus and still not get it? Incredible... we didn't get out of the Great Depression until the government stopped trying to stimulate the economy.

"...when Henry Paulson argues that it is necessary to pump money into credit markets to prevent them from freezing up, he doesn't bother to realize that the money he pumps into the credit markets is coming directly out of the very same credit markets. He is doing little more than rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic..."

Let's take a ride in the "WAY Back" Machine .to...Jan. 2011 - Barack Obama in State of the Union says corporate profits are up over the past two years

In his State of the Union address on Jan. 25, 2011, President Barack Obama suggested that the economy is in recovery mode.

'We are poised for progress,' the president told a joint session of Congress. 'Two years after the worst recession most of us have ever known, the stock market has come roaring back. Corporate profits are up. The economy is growing again.'

We decided to see if corporate profits are indeed up in the past two years."

Taxpayers Will Pay for Obama Bus Tour of Battleground States, Says White House

President Barack Obama’s upcoming bus tour through the Midwest states typically viewed as swing states during presidential election years will be paid for by the taxpayers, the White House says.

Obama will start the tour on Aug. 15 and will talk about strengthening jobs and the economy, the White House announced on Tuesday."

Unemployment aid applications tick down to 400K

Always a "correction" AFTER the positive headlines of the Drive-By Media....

The number of Americans seeking unemployment benefits dipped last week, a sign the job market may be improving slowly.

Weekly applications for unemployment benefits edged down 1,000 to a seasonally adjusted 400,000, the Labor Department said Thursday. That's the lowest level in four months. The previous week's figure was revised upward from 398,000 to 401,000."

Sherri Shepherd Mistakenly Attributes 'Magic Negro' to Rush Limbaugh

Fellow panelist Joy Behar was also mistaken as to the origin of the term Limbaugh used. 'Limbaugh never backed off. Limbaugh never backed off though, it's not like he apologizes for that,' said Behar. Shepherd and Behar both appear to be unaware that 'Barack the Magic Negro' originated not with Rush Limbaugh and Paul Shanklin, but with David Ehrenstein, an African-American columnist for the Los Angeles Times.

The parody song Limbaugh aired is a direct reference to the relevant column."

Satirical mints poking fun at Obama pulled from UT bookstore

However, if these were against George W. Bush...he'd of bought a case! I wish the Store had more courage!
Breath mints are usually refreshing, but a Knoxville legislator believes a University of Tennessee bookstore's selling of novelty candies mocking President Barack Obama stinks.
UT officials pulled the mints poking fun at Obama from store shelves after state Rep. Joe Armstrong, a Democrat, visited the bookstore and told the director he found the satirical mints offensive."

Perfect for killing American Jobs! Obama Administration Added $9.5 Billion in Red Tape in July

THIS is what is killing American jobs.....

Many House and Senate conservatives are reviving their battle against federal regulations, claiming that the president hasn't stopped issuing job-killing rules during the debt ceiling fight. 'While Washington and Americans have been focused on the debt ceiling, the Obama administration has continued to roll out more crushing red tape,' said a spokesperson for Wyoming Republican Sen. John Barrasso, who's been championing the regulation fight."

Halliburton Paid Dick Cheney to Commit Rape in Iran - HUMAN EVENTS

A front-page story by James Risen in The New York Times on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008, reported on a 'troubling trend' of sexual assaults committed by American employees of military contractors in Iraq. The centerpiece of his story was Jamie Leigh Jones, who claimed to have been brutally gang-raped in 2005 while working in the Green Zone."

Why Does America Welcome Immigrants?

Across the country, lawmakers are working to limit illegal immigration and reform policy so that more individuals can honorably and legally become American citizens. Last year’s notorious immigration battle in Arizona was met with hostility from pro-illegal immigration forces who misunderstood the Founders’ intent for a legal and meaningful naturalization process into America."

Has the United States already suffered its cyberwar Pearl Harbor?

The campaign, called “Operation Shady RAT” (remote access tool), was described by Dmitri Alperovitch, McAfee’s VP of threat research in a recent blog post: Revealed: Operation Shady RAT. According to Alperovitch, these attacks are major assaults against both countries and corporations."

Unhealthy Debt - The oncoming Obamacare disaster!

From beginning to end, the debt crisis talks have come down to a struggle between advocates of tax increases and champions of domestic discretionary spending cuts. This important dispute has been at the heart of our politics for decades, and without question our out-of-control discretionary budget has a lot to do with the size of today’s deficit and debt. But it has little to do with tomorrow’s deficits and debt—that is, with the unprecedented oncoming explosion of federal spending and borrowing that terrifies our creditors and gravely threatens our future prosperity. Democrats were able to keep that approaching disaster entirely off the table in the debt ceiling fight. In the next round, Republicans must make sure to put it front and center."

Excellent Chart showing Defense spending isn't the villian it's made out to be!

The Heritage Foundation has created a useful chart, showing that even if military spending were completely eliminated, the U.S. would still face major financial problems:"

Chevy Volt: Still Not Selling ...hehehehe

All told, GM has sold close to 2,700 Volts. (Funny aside: There’s a Volt in my neighborhood and a Volt that parks in my garage at work. So I see almost 0.1 percent of all the Volts in America on a daily basis.) But hey, the EV future is just around the corner."

Palin: If Tea Partiers Were Terrorists, Obama Would Pal Around With Us

Lordie, I just LOVE her!!!!!!!!!

"Heck, Sean, if we were real domestic terrorists, shoot, President Obama would be wanting to pal around with us, wouldn’t he? I mean he didn’t have a problem paling around with Bill Ayers back in the day when he kicked off his political career in Bill Ayers' apartment,' Palin said on FOX News' 'Hannity.'"

GOP, Romney rip Obama on jobs ahead of Chicago fundraiser

So, he gonna make these "donors" pay "Their Fair Share?".....bet not.......just like GE............

The chairmen of the national and state Republican Party issued a blistering attack on Barack Obama today in advance of the president’s fundraising visit to Chicago tonight, contending that shows his priority is to keep his job while national unemployment remains high."

Facebook Face Recognition Violates Law, German Agency Says

Does anyone find this disturbing?

The company's software evaluates faces on uploaded photos according to physical features and saves them, creating what may be 'the world's largest database of biometric features,' Hamburg's agency for data protection and information security said in a statement on its website yesterday."

Debt Ceiling Red Tag Sale - PatriotPost.US

After months of talk about the nation's runaway debt, lawmakers managed to agree on a plan that, at most, will cut spending by a mere 5%. Is it any wonder federal spending is out of control? ... According to IBD's analysis of available budget numbers, the deal's $2.4 trillion in 10-year cuts amounts to a mere 5% trim off total projected federal spending during that time. It's like a 400-pound man boasting that he plans to drop 20 pounds over a decade, while his doctors warn about the risks of losing weight so fast."

Connie Mack Calls CNN Piers Morgan Show a Joke - you have to listen!

Once again - CNN becomes the news instead of "reporting" it.....

Rep. Connie Mack (R-Fla.) took Piers Morgan to task on his show Monday after the CNN host accused the congressman of “stabbing [House Speaker John Boehner] in the back” for voting against on the debt deal.

The interview kicked off with Morgan asking Mack whether he could presume the congressman “would have been quite happy for your country to go into catastrophic default” because he voted no."

Charles Krauthammer defends Tea Party

Saw this at 4:00 AM getting ready for work.....put a smile on my face!

On Tuesday’s “The O’Reilly Factor,” Bill O’Reilly suggested it was a concerted effort, organized by the left with the intention of marginalizing the Tea Party. But Washington Post columnist and Fox News Channel regular Charles Krauthammer said the situation is far simpler. He said instead it was a show of their “lack of intelligence” and “lack of originality.”"

The Mission to Get Osama Bin Laden

Shortly after eleven o’clock on the night of May 1st, two MH-60 Black Hawk helicopters lifted off from Jalalabad Air Field, in eastern Afghanistan, and embarked on a covert mission into Pakistan to kill Osama bin Laden. New ‘Spider-Man’ Swinging Into Comic Book Shops Following Death Of Peter Parker

Oddly resembles somebody we all know.........Please..."change our traditions" - Michele Obama.....step by step by nudge....

New Yorkers take their fictional heroes seriously, so it may come as a shock to some that Peter Parker, the Queens native whose destiny was forever altered by a radioactive/genetically altered spider, has been killed off in the “Ultimates” imprint of Marvel Comics. The Ultimate series is different from Marvel’s standard line, in which Peter Parker is still happily toiling away as everybody’s favorite hard-luck hero."

Balance the Budget: Now is the Time

SarahPac: Yet Another Anklebiter’s “Ethics” Complaint Bites the Dust | Conservatives4Palin

The Alaska Attorney General’s office has dismissed yet another frivolous ethics complaint filed against Governor Palin by a leftwing political blogger. This particular blogger is from Texas (where she volunteered as a precinct captain for Barack Obama’s 2008 campaign), and yet her dismissed complaint against Governor Palin has cost the State of Alaska time and resources because no matter how absurd the complaint is, the state must respond to it."

Another Lemonade Stand Shut Down By Authorities

Heck - we had hot dogs & hamburgers for a picnic to thank folks that had supported our Town's Christmas Parade...and we had to apply for permits, inspections AND got a visit from the Town's Health Inspector before AND during the picnic..our tax dollars at work..??

In another example of the increasing trend towards a nanny state, local authorities in Coralville, IA have shut down a 4-year-old girl’s lemonade stand because she does not have the proper operating permit.

According to the city ordinance, the 4-year-old must apply for a permit and get a health inspection.

A health inspection for a lemonade stand?"

Palin says she has no respect for Romney's debt-ceiling stance

I have said it before....Mitt has so many "positions" he could debate himself!!!

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) joined the attacks against Mitt Romney's handling of the debt-ceiling debate, saying she has no respect for how the GOP presidential frontrunner handled the issue.

Palin, the Republican rock star who's still evaluating whether to wage her own bid for the presidency, joined in the chorus of criticism of Romney."

Bachmann and Palin outraged at Biden’s Tea Party ‘terrorist’ jab

This "Terrorist" line is now a "Talking Point" for every member of the Drive-By Media.....forgot that pesky missive from their leader about a "New Tone" in DC, ey????

Vice President Biden found himself under fire Tuesday from Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R), who condemned alleged comments he made attacking the Tea Party.

Bachmann, a GOP presidential candidate, and Palin, a potential candidate, each reacted with outrage at a report that Biden, at a closed-door meeting with Democrats yesterday on Capitol Hill, said that Tea Party Republicans had “acted like terrorists” in negotiations over a debt-ceiling compromise."

More Costly Health Care Ahead

As soon as they say there will be "savings" that "don't show up on the accounting table"...that's code speak for HANG ONTO YOUR WALLET!!!!!!!!!!!

But defending ObamaCare, much like Davy Crockett at the Alamo, was White House Health Czar Nancy-Ann DeParle. She was quoted as saying: “The Affordable Care Act creates changes in the health care system that typically don’t show up on an accounting table. We know these new provisions will save money for the health care system even if today’s report doesn’t credit these strategies with reducing cost.” This was rather like calling the CMS actuary a big fibber."

Suffer the Little Children - This is who John Kerry wants to treat "Nice"...and they'll be "nice" to us.....

“The test of the morality of a society,” wrote theologian and anti-Nazi activist Dietrich Bonhoeffer, “is what it does for its children.” Or more significantly, what it does to them. For example, just when you think the Taliban couldn’t set the bar of subhumanity any lower, reporter Michael Yon, embedded with American troops in Afghanistan, reports on two instances of shocking Taliban cruelty, directed at children, that have enraged local Afghans themselves."

Are members of Congress worth their paychecks?

Quite simply.....NO!

To make matters worse, the same group of elected officials makes a healthy living at taxpayers' expense. Members of Congress receive a salary of $174,000 per year, as well as generous fringe benefits that increase their total compensation to $285,000 per year.

Members of Congress are among the highest-paid 5 percent of American workers. Unlike the private sector, where salaries are earned from willing customers in exchange for a product or service, congressional salaries and benefits are taken out of taxpayer's pockets without any requirement for what Americans receive in return."

New Jersey miracle: What about the rest of us?

A new study co-authored by Joshua Rauh of Northwestern University and Robert Novy-Marx of the University of Rochester, both finance professors, has concluded that without a change in their pension systems, federal, state and local governments 'will need to raise taxes by $1,398 per household every year for the next 30 years if they are to fully fund their pension systems.' The study also found that New Jersey 'will need to increase its revenue by the largest margin, requiring $2,475 more from each household per year.' That's if the new law hadn't passed."

Rick Perry's Prospects Look Good

Some wives don't want their husbands to run for president -- Alma Powell (Colin Powell) and Cheri Daniels (Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels). Texas Republican Gov. Rick Perry doesn't have that problem. In an interview with me following a well-received address to the Western Conservative Summit in Denver, Perry said, 'My wife is a nurse and the daughter of a country doctor. She sees Obamacare with the potential to devastate this country. ... She basically said, 'Listen, I know you love your job and you're comfortable there, but your country is in trouble and you need to get off the sideline and get in this game, serve your country and do your duty.'"

The Budget Deal: American Defense Goes Over A Cliff

So why over the next half decade, must the nation’s security get pummeled while welfare recipients and government bureaucrats—at all levels—continue to get billions, even trillions?

For example, from FY09-16, the February budget of the administration calls for defense, veterans and Homeland Security—the so-called defense accounts to increase $50 billion collectively, compared to the FY09 baseline. That’s right–$50 billion, just a few billion more than some negotiators were pushing to increase just the Pell Grants."

‘Million Teacher March’ Falls About 992,000 People Short

Teachers unions and their supporters hoped to draw 1 million people to Washington D.C. last weekend for their “Save Our Schools” rally. They apparently fell about 992,000 people short.

The embarrassing attendance underlined one major truth – there is no mass movement to maintain the status quo in our nation’s public schools. The only people defending the current system are those who profit from it, like the leaders of the nation’s teachers unions."

Ryan-Rubio - the BEST Hope for 2012!

Rep. Paul Ryan: 'We assume we’re going to be fighting this war for 10 more years, with over 100,000 troops in Afghanistan and oh, gosh, wait, we’re going to withdraw our troops in 2014. $1 trillion in savings. I’ve got a better idea. Let’s pass a bill to cover the moon with yogurt that will cost $5 trillion today. and then let’s pass a bill the next day to cancel that bill. We could save $5 trillion. Wait, I’ve got a better idea. Our debt is $14 trillion. Let’s come up with a new plan to spend $14 trillion, then rescind it the next day and let’s save $14 trillion. This stuff is fiscal fantasy. You can’t make this stuff up, Mr. Speaker.' [...]"

Fiscal Conservatives Barred from Supercommittee

Of course...this just keeps getting better and better.....

The debt ceiling deal will pass the Senate early this afternoon. No suspense there. But the vote will be worth watching for another reason: Three Republican Senate sources tell TWS that senators who vote against the deal will be ineligible to serve on the so-called “supercommittee” for deficit reduction that the legislation creates."

Rep. Paul Ryan: Debt Committee Will Not Raise Taxes | RealClearPolitics

I love Paul Ryan...but this remark was "so Yesterday" before Reid took over.....

"'I've got to tell you Sean, we're not going to raise taxes in this committee,' Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) said on Monday night's edition of 'Hannity.' Rep. Ryan was talking about the bicameral, bipartisan committee that will propose spending cuts."

Reid: Joint Committee Must Include Taxes Or Trigger Will Kick In

Oh, yeah....shocking. They're gonna do what they said they weren't gonna do.....shocking........yawn.....

"'We've had too much talk the last few days of Republicans as early as this morning, Republican leaders in the Senate saying there will be no revenue. That's not going to happen. Otherwise, the trigger is going to kick in. The only way we can arrive at a fair arrangement for the American people with this joint committee is to have equal sharing. It's going to be painful. Each party if they do the right thing, it's going to be painful for them because to be fair, we have to move forward. There has to be equal spending cuts, there has to be some revenue that matches that,' Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) said on the floor of the Senate right before voting started on the debt deal.

Increased revenue from taxes was not included in the debt compromise."

Glenn Beck: Why the Debt Deal Is Bad News

"Don’t be fooled. We’ve just been betrayed by Washington.

A deal on the debt ceiling is near and Washington still hasn’t gotten serious about the fundamentals. It hasn’t gotten serious about default. It certainly hasn’t gotten serious about the future. When Harry Reid hails a “bipartisan compromise” you know we’re doomed."

Top 10 Examples of Government Stupidity

Agenda 21 Update – DOT’s regulatory attack on family farms

The name "Agenda 21" would be funny if it weren't real....we've already seen moves like this being made on the fishing industries and the implementation of "Catch Shares". Essentially destroying whats left of an industry....

Is the US government starting to implement the policies of the United Nation’s plan for global management of people and resources known as Agenda 21? The latest efforts out of the Department of Transportation (DOT) seem to indicate this is happening. And they are starting by targeting America’s farming communities with costly and oppressive regulations."

The Most Dangerous War in the Middle East has Already Begun

As international efforts to dispose of Moammar Gaddafi escalate, less and less attention is given to the real international threat in the region: Iran. While the Arab Spring has taken out or severely weakened hostile regimes throughout the Middle East, Iran has continued its dangerous buildup of nuclear material. At this point the nuclear ambitions of Iran's dictatorial regime have become clear: they want a bomb."

Using the Military for Politics

The despicable use of our military for political purposes has got to stop. Last night, Adm. Mullen, an Obama lackey, has warned the military members under his command that they might not get paid. This statement is patently false, unless the Obama Administration decides not to pay the troops but use the money coming into the treasury for some other purpose, perhaps some new union pensions or whatever. The troops are seemingly believing of their leaders and are very concerned that this bogus threat is actually true."

Coulter: It’s Fun to Keep Making Dems Vote Against Balanced Budget Amendment"

The Truth About the Debt-Ceiling Fight

One clear implication of all this is that tax increases are not at all mathematically necessary to close the gap, even in the near term. In fact, the Obama administration does not pretend that tax increases are a practical matter; it has been fairly explicit that it considers raising taxes to be a moral matter. The so-called conservatives who support Obama in his bid for tax increases and who insist that raising taxes is both the necessary and responsible thing to do are ignorant, mouthy ideologues, at best."

We were surely far from perfect. But I didn’t deserve to have students try to rip the uniform of the United States off my body. Our contemporaries, whatever their flaws, didn’t deserve to be murdered. And I don’t deserve, now, to have our fears treated with gleeful scorn by a woman whose greatest sacrifice for this country, I’m guessing, was breaking her heel on the way to the protest rally."
