Protests rock Egypt after Morsi seizes more power...
Morsi called "pharaoh" for seizing new powers
Morsi's decree exempting all his decisions from legal challenge until a new parliament was elected caused fury amongst his opponents on Friday who accused him of being the new Hosni Mubarak and hijacking the revolution.

Magical thinking about Amnesty......
Interesting case against Amnesty...
Instead, California is living proof of the harmful economic impact caused by mass immigration. Over the last two decades, California grew by 10 million new people, but gained only 150,000 new taxpayers. As a study by a team of economic and public policy professors found, "From the mid-1980s to 2005, California's population grew by 10 million, while Medicaid recipients soared by seven million; tax filers paying income taxes rose by just 150,000; and the prison population swelled by 115,000." This is the make-up of a demographic and economic catastrophe, and it is the open borders Republican model for the rest of the nation.

Few crimes committed by concealed-carry permit holders in Kansas ....
Of the 51,078 permits that have been issued by the state since the law took effect in 2007, 44 permit holders have been charged with a crime while using a firearm through late October, according to records provided by the Kansas Attorney General’s Office.
That works out to one charge for every 1,161 permit holders, or 0.09 percent.

Social Security and the Politics of Deceit....
Joe Biden's simplistic remark belies a horrific lack of understanding regarding the reality of investing versus the broken promises of Social Security. The erroneous comment by Biden about the market and his disingenuous explanation of what life would have been like had you been able to make your own decisions with Social Security funds underscores the problems our nation faces in understanding the results of the 2012 presidential election.

We Don't Know Why We Lost Because We Don't Know Who We Are.....
Interesting Read....
Theories abound regarding the Republican implosion on November 6th. If you are an avid reader, you no doubt have read the gamut of postulation. We've seen the far right conclude we need to move further right. The Rockefeller wing (yes, it is much smaller, but it's still there) says we need to slide to the left! The mainstream media and the left (if you can separate the two) have pretty much just written us off as irrelevant. To date, I don't think anyone has it quite right, so I now attempt to crack the code. Some of you may not like it.
DEMOCRAT BILL LETS FEDS READ YOUR EMAIL.......
Now imagine the SCREAMS about privacy if it were a Republican doing this?! It must be stopped regardless.....
A Senate proposal touted as protecting Americans' e-mail privacy has been quietly rewritten, giving government agencies more surveillance power than they possess under current law.
CNET has learned that Patrick Leahy, the influential Democratic chairman of the Senate Judiciary committee, has dramatically reshaped his legislation in response to law enforcement concerns. A vote on his bill, which now authorizes warrantless access to Americans' e-mail, is scheduled for next week.

Alsip, Illinois Cancels Water Tower Christmas Cross.....
If they eliminate the presence of god, religion...the tenants of our Founding...they begin to successfully remove the linch pins that hold it all together.
However, this year, facing threats of a costly legal battle, Mayor Patrick Kitching is discontinuing the festive display. Using a tactic that it frequently relies upon, the FFRF threatens lawsuits as a means of intimidating communities into removing religious displays from public property — a plan that has, in instances like this one, proven effective.
Not wanting to waste public dollars on a costly lawsuit that Alsip would potentially lose, the mayor made the tough choice to nix the tradition.
Marco Rubio and the age of the Earth....
Marco captures what is wrong with us right now...as a country. " It’s ok for one side to express their view and the other side needs to be quiet.". I see this so often.
A discussion either turns into a shouting match or one side walks off if the other doesn't ENTIRELY embrace what they have to say.
I'm Conservative....will be til the day I die. However, I have alot of democratic friends...and Moonbat friends. However...98% of them will TALK...yes, talk about what they believe and WHY!
I learn...they learn.....we do "battle" in the Arena of ideas....where this country came from!
That’s exactly what all of this is about. Rubio has named the game, and correctly defined the core rules. It’s all about finding wedge issues where people have been instructed that it’s not okay to “agree to disagree.” The same-sex marriage movement doesn’t convey any sense that it finds itself engaged in heartfelt discourse over a difficult subject with honorable opponents. If you disagree with them, you shouldn’t even be allowed to sell chicken sandwiches.
The Norwegian Left’s KGB Romance.....
Yes, he used the same term (overmenneske in Norwegian, bermensch in the original German) as was employed by the philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche about exceptional human beings above normal morality, which was also used or misused by the Nazis for their own purposes. This is an embarrassing reminder of the tradition for personality cults surrounding various left-wing leaders throughout history, most of them deeply flawed.

CBS Praises Obama for Post-Sandy Visit, Attacked Bush for Same with Katrina......
Drive-by Media double standard...nooooo.....REALLY?!
CBS News aired a segment full of praise for President Obama's visit to Staten Island in the wake of Hurricane Sandy Friday. But this positive spin is in stark contrast to the scolding the network gave President Bush when he visited the Gulf Coast after Hurricane Katrina hit in 2005.

Treasury Secretary Geithner: Lift Debt Limit to Infinity .....
Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner said Friday that Congress should stop placing legal limits on the amount of money the government can borrow and effectively lift the debt limit to infinity.
On Bloomberg TV, “Political Capital” host Al Hunt asked Geithner if he believes “we ought to just eliminate the debt ceiling.”
“Oh, absolutely,” Geithner said.
“You do? Will you propose that?” Hunt asked.

White House Deleted Al Qaeda From CIA Talking Points - 'Benghazi-gate'.....
Senior Republican members of Congress confirmed Sunday that the Obama administration changed CIA guidance to senior officials that had identified the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi as an al Qaeda attack.
“The intelligence community had it right, and they had it right early,” said chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Rep. Mike Rogers (R., Mich.).
The CIA “talking points” on Benghazi initially identified the attackers as al Qaeda or al Qaeda-linked terrorists but senior administration officials removed the reference, Rogers said on NBC’s Meet the Press.

Paul Ryan Emerges as Power Broker in Fiscal Talks ......
Speaker John A. Boehner has tapped Mr. Ryan, who has returned to his post as the House Budget Committee chairman after an unsuccessful run for vice president, to help strike a deal to avoid big tax increases and spending cuts by the end of the year, and to bring along fellow Republicans.
“He helps us toward creating a product,” said Senator Rob Portman, Republican of Ohio, “and he helps sell the product.”
