Was this an “honor killing” that is being covered up by the Tampa Police Department and Hillsborough County Medical Examiner? It is chilling to think that this poor woman was brutally murdered in her Tampa home, and our local officials and the media are not acknowledging that such a horrific crime, sanctioned by Islamic Shari’ah, may have been committed, out of fear of Muslim reprisal."

Mayor Michael A. Nutter, telling marauding black youths “you have damaged your own race,” imposed a tougher curfew Monday in response to the latest “flash mob” — spontaneous groups of teens who attack people at random on the streets of the city’s tourist and fashionable shopping districts.
“Take those God-darn hoodies down, especially in the summer,” Mr. Nutter, the city’s second black mayor, said in an angry lecture aimed at black teens. “Pull your pants up and buy a belt ‘cause no one wants to see your underwear or the crack of your butt.”"

One day after the stock market took its biggest plunge since the 2008 financial crisis, President Obama on Tuesday canceled a previously scheduled speech at a local moving company, and the White House also pulled the plug on the daily press briefing.
Instead of traveling to Springfield, Va.-based Interstate Moving Services and making public remarks on fuel efficiency standards for work trucks, Mr. Obama will meet privately with industry officials at the White House this morning — and that meeting will be closed to the press, the White House announced in a scheduling update Tuesday morning.
In addition, a 12:30 briefing with press secretary Jay Carney has been canceled, the update said."

You know what leadership means? It means that it doesn't really matter what S&P says. We all know deep inside that no country is the same as it was 5 years ago. And the market seems to be okay with it. And as for stocks going down we were already Ralph Cramden (of Honeymooners) on thin ice. Now an infant jumped on our shoulders. It’s just even more weight.

A mystery investor or hedge fund reportedly made a bet of almost $1billion at odds of 10/1 last month that the U.S. would lose its AAA credit rating.
Now questions are being asked of whether the trader had inside information before placing the $850million bet in the futures market, or if the bet happened at all.
There were mounting rumours that investor George Soros, 80, famously known as ‘the man who broke the Bank of England’, could be involved."

Much to the disappointment of the Liberals - Rick Perry's prayer event goes off without a hitch
Overall, however, the tone was very low-key and welcoming, thanks to the foresight of the organizers, who banned the sale of event tchochkes and freelance evangelizing (if this was Perry’s doing, it was a brilliant touch). I did spot one elderly gentleman with a fanny pack stuffed with tracts; he asked me if I was praying for the peace of Jerusalem but switched off when I responded that I wanted peace everywhere."
