Giuliani: I Wouldn't Want to Be Biden

"I think Biden must have a sore neck by now," Giuliani said. "He was shaking his head so much it looked like he was on a string. It would be hard to sit there and shake your head all the time."

Biden has also had harsh things to say about Giuliani. During a Democratic presidential debate in 2007, when Biden was a candidate, he said Giuliani is "the most underqualified man since George W. Bush to seek the presidency."

"There's only three things he mentions in a sentence: a noun, a verb and 9/11," Biden said.

"You Want Your F---ing Camera Broken?" - Gosh the Unions are nice, ey?

More of that "missing the pesky "civil discourse" memo".....yeah...right.

Between Richard Trumka's special invitation to the president's "jobs speech," his despicable AFL-CIO 9/11 "tribute" essay, and the AFL-CIO affiliated ILWU's riot and hostage-taking in Washington State, we've been discussing organized labor quite a lot this week. Luckily for the embattled unions, a reporter from Portland, Oregon-based KGW-TV ventured over to the local ILWU headquarters to cover their side of the story. A friendly, staid, and eloquent employee greeted the news crew and calmly explained the situation. Just kidding. He went ballistic, screeching every profane slur in the book, and threatening to commit physical assault and destroy their equipment. *Extreme* content warning:

Georgia jobs program cited by Obama has big flaws

Is your head exploding? Cause I know mine is.....

A jobs program in the Southern state of Georgia, cited in President Barack Obama's plan to fight unemployment, needs big fixes and would not work as a federal initiative, says the official who runs it.

Senate Approves $500 Billion Increase in Borrowing Authority - It is never going to stop....

The U.S. Senate, in an unusual procedure, cleared the way Thursday for the U.S. to lift its borrowing authority by $500 billion to $15.19 trillion, enough to keep the support federal government borrowing through late January or early February.

The action came under an unusual legislative procedure spelled out under the August agreement to raise the U.S. debt ceiling and avoid a U.S. credit default. In a 52-45 vote, the Senate blocked an attempt by Republicans to slow down the process that will result in the $500 billion debt-ceiling increase.

Some of Sarah Palin's Ideas Cross the Political Divide

Good Lord...the world just spun off it's axis! NYT writes something decent about Sarah!

The next day, the “lamestream” media, as she calls it, played into her fantasy of it by ignoring the ideas she unfurled and dwelling almost entirely on the will-she-won’t-she question of her presidential ambitions.

So here is something I never thought I would write: a column about Sarah Palin’s ideas.

Anti-Bob Turner Ad Featuring Airplane Ominously Buzzing Manhattan: Slightly Terrorist-y?

Now Folks...Today's Hypocrisy Howler! Can you imagine what would have happened if a Republican did this? OMG!

: The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee just released their new attack ad against Bob Turner, the Republican candidate for the NY-9 seat vacated by Anthony Weiner. There’s something slightly…off…about the timing of the ad. [UPDATED.]

Just three days before the numerology-centered tension of the 10th Anniversary of September 11th finally releases, is using a private jet buzzing right by the Manhattan skyline—to illustrate Bob Turner’s lax stances on corporate tax reform, of course—slightly less-than-appropriate? Or at the very least, not completely thought-through?

Charles Krauthammer on Obama Adress: A ‘Campaign Speech’ of a ‘Watered-Down, Retreaded Stimulus Package’

With the sarcasm evident in his voice, columnist Charles Krauthammer gave his initial impressions of President Obama’s jobs address to Congress by calling it, “One of the great campaign speeches I have ever heard.” He quickly followed, “Unfortunately, it was given in…the magnificent setting where FDR, after Pearl Harbor…ask for a declaration of war on Japan. In the august setting where Lyndon Johnson asked for passage of civil rights. Here was a President asking for the passage, essentially, of a watered-down, retreaded stimulus package.”

Obama invites GE's Immelt to jobs speech

WOW!!!! WHAT A SURPRISE............yawn.................

The White House's invited guests who will hear President Obama speak to Congress tonight about creating jobs for the common man include a CEO under fire for moving jobs to China and a mayor who recently built a six-foot wall around his mansion.

Jeffrey Immelt, chairman of GE and head of the president's jobs council, tops the list of invited guests who will listen to Mr. Obama's speech from the first lady's box in the House chamber.

Longshoremen storm Wash. state port

And these guys are Obama's guests tonight......

Hundreds of Longshoremen stormed the Port of Longview early Thursday, overpowered and held security guards, damaged railroad cars, and dumped grain that is the center of a labor dispute, said Longview Police Chief Jim Duscha.

Six guards were held hostage for a couple of hours after 500 or more Longshoremen broke down gates about 4:30 a.m. and smashed windows in the guard shack, he said.

Bankrupt Solyndra & the White House Visit scandel?

I'm so surprised....yawn.....check out Gibson Guitar......

Not only does the now-bankrupt solar energy firm Solyndra have a cozy financial relationship with the Obama administration, company representatives also made numerous visits to the White House to meet with administration officials, The Daily Caller has learned.

According to White House visitor logs, between March 12, 2009, and April 14, 2011, Solyndra officials and investors made no fewer than 20 trips to the West Wing.

FBI raids solar panel company hailed by Obama

And yet.....Obama wants MORE money for "Green" jobs......Google Evergreen Solar...I'm sure there are others....there is NO market to sustain these.....
JEEZ Mr. President - read "Atlas Shrugged"...cause that's where we are headed!

But the company filed a bankruptcy petition Tuesday in Delaware, asking a court to bar phone, electricity and water and sewer service providers from “altering, refusing or discontinuing service,” and now is the focus of an investigation by the FBI and the Energy Department's Office of Inspector General.

Debate Moderators launch from the Left!

What else would you expect from Brain Williams? he almost goes into Hot Flashes at the mention of Obama!

NBC’s Brian Williams and Politico’s John Harris peppered the NBC News/Politico debate inside the Air Force One pavilion at the Reagan Library with questions from the left, repeatedly pressing the Republican presidential candidates with liberal talking points and Democratic agenda items. That’s time which could have been better spent advancing issues and concerns of Republican primary voters interested in differences amongst the candidates, not in forcing the candidates to defend conservative positions despised by MSNBC viewers and hosts. Williams hit Texas Governor Rick Perry from the left on his state’s poor economic indicators (“no other state has more working at or below the minimum wage”) , chastised him for cutting education funding and, citing how “your state has executed 234 death row inmates,” demanded to know whether he’s “struggled to sleep at night with the idea that any one of those might have been innocent?”

Outrage: Pic Shows Saudi Flag Raised Above American Flag in Colorado School

ACK....Hypocrisy Howler.....Baloney...another "backpedal" Special...there is only ONE flag in this nation - ONE...the Red, White & Blue!!

Some, of course, would wonder why a Saudi flag was up at Bauder Elementary to begin with. Carpenter explained that the school has international flags posted around the facility. They are intended to recognize the diverse nationalities of both students and parents, alike, he says.

Gibson Guitar CEO to Attend Obama‘s Jobs Speech as Marsha Blackburn’s Guest

Sorry...but......hehehehehehehehehehehehehe...........

Gibson Guitar CEO Henry Juszkiewicz will attend President Barack Obama’s Thursday address to Congress on jobs as Tennessee Rep. Marsha Blackburn’s guest.

Federal agents raided the legendary guitar factories last week in Memphis and Nashville in a probe of Gibson’s alleged importation of illegal wood, seizing property and sending workers home.

Get Ready For Pre-Filled Tax Forms!

If the Government wasn't already BIG enough...intrusive ENOUGH....now they want to pre-determine what you WILL pay the Government each year in taxes......I missed this article when it first came out....OMG....

The reason this idea is proposed as a revenue enhancer is the conviction that Americans are under-paying their taxes by $345 billion per year. The IRS would have an overpowering, built-in incentive to pre-fill those tax forms with as few deductions and credits as possible. To have a fighting chance of collecting those deductions and credits, taxpayers would need to keep the IRS updated on a great deal of personal information throughout the year.

Perry the Purist - OK so far by me....

Perhaps the most thoughtful insight into the economic philosophy of the Lone Star State chief were his comments during the debate about chastising the use of government spending to stimulate the economy. President Obama, Perry argued, “has proven for once and for all that government spending will not create one job. Keynesian policy and Keynesian theory is now done. We'll never have to have that experiment on America again.” Perry appears not to believe in government manipulation of the economic system to spur job creation and activity in the economy. While Perry does not say it outright, he de facto endorses a more Austrian approach or a pure free market approach to economics.

Thuggery in the Wisconsin Union Battle

This is the very root of the problem.
NOBODY is willing to give!
I had an argument with a good friend last night during the GOP debate. She didn't like the thought of Perry "touching" her Social Security - HA! THERE IS NONE! It's a myth. It's been used as the Governments ATM for years and years...it's given away to anyone with a good story or connections...not to whom it was a promise made!
If we ALL don't wake up and realize we ALL HAVE SKIN in THIS game....we're done. Social Security will be the least of our problems!

Not that Wisconsin Republicans were all that keen to join Labor Day parades, suspecting catcalls and maybe flying objects -- in short, the foul play they've come to expect from rabid public employee union devotees, led by teachers, and camp followers. All this furor because GOPers acted with resolve to stop the hemorrhaging of the state finances by curbing excessive public employee benefits enacted by previous (Democrat) regimes. Finally someone stood up for ordinary Wisconsin taxpayers.

The more things change...the more they remain the same!

Jimmy the Lesser is keeping up the family legacy:

To applause, Perry defends Texas death penalty

I LOVED this answer. He did not waiver. Though I do not agree with some of his policies...I DO like a man to stand by his convictions. I think the American people are tired of the inmates running the asylum.

Texas Gov. Rick Perry is defending the death penalty in Texas and says he's never struggled with whether any of the inmates executed during his time as governor might have been innocent.

When Perry defended capital punishment, he drew strong applause from the scores of people in the audience at the Republican debate Wednesday night at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.

Obama’s Failure on Jobs: Four Damning Charts

I can give you alot more damning evidence of this failure of leadership and they all have human faces....

President Obama may have a buddy-buddy relationship with big labor, but he’s no friend to ordinary workers. Here are four damning pieces of evidence.

1. The unemployment rate remains above 9 percent according to the Labor Department data released on Friday.

This is about 2-1/2 percentage points higher than Obama promised if would be at this stage if we adopted the failed stimulus.

One Small Step for Jobs, One Big Target for Republicans

President Obama’s $300 billion jobs package is unlikely to be large enough for Democrats, bold enough for independents, or palatable to Republicans, even though a broad consensus exists on the basic sense of its policies. That means that it might not create a single job, no matter how well-crafted it is.

DeMint: Palin’s Not Running

Think I saw it in her eyes in Manchester, NH. When the crowd thundered "Run Sarah, Run"....she looked wistful...A kind of "Thanks" to you all - but no thanks....she's more powerful right where she is!

DeMint: Palin’s Not Running

Sources: Obama Administration To Drop Troop Levels In Iraq To 3,000

This is truly frightening.....when politics totally trumps good sense and our military's safety.....we learned NOTHING from Vietnam.

Panetta, touring sites Tuesday in advance of the Sept. 11 10th commemoration, insisted "no decision has been made" on the number of troops to stay in Iraq.

"That obviously will be the subject of negotiations with the Iraqis and as a result of those negotiations. As I said no decision has been made of what the number will be," he said.

More Republicans skipping Obama’s jobs speech

Good Lord...am I starting to see backbone? My heart be still!

When President Obama delivers his address on a new job-creation plan to a joint session of Congress on Thursday, he won't be speaking to a sold-out crowd. Several lawmakers are still determining whether it is worth their time to stay in Washington to hear the president, and some are already planning to skip it.

With 24 Days Left in Fiscal Year 2011, Congress Has Passed Zero Funding Bills

Why is anyone surprised? This is the way they "Blame" the "Other" side for not agreeing with anything....seriously! Easy to say when you stand for nothing!

While the federal fiscal year for 2011 ends on Sept. 30 – 24 days from now -- Congress has yet to pass a single appropriations bill for fiscal year 2012, which starts on Oct. 1. Not one appropriations bill has been sent to the president to sign into law.

Sen. John Cornyn Writes to Air Force About Class Suspension Over Bible Verses

I am not religious...but why are so many people out there feeling "Threatened"....?

Following Cornyn’s letter, there‘s no telling what the Air Force’s response will be. As The Blaze reported last month, David Smith, the spokesman for the Air Force’s Air Education and Training Command, says that the MRFF’s concerns have led the military branch to conclude that the inclusion of the Bible verses is an “inappropriate approach” in today’s society.

Texas Wildfires Offer Real Time Leadership Challenge to Perry

This is what we have always been missing in Ma.

“Not paying attention to politics right now” is how the conservative Republican explained it after he ditched a high-profile campaign appearance in early-voting South Carolina to tend to his duties as governor. His attendance at a debate Wednesday night in California — it would be his first on the national stage — is now in question.

Video Game Allows Players to Slaughter "Tea Party Zombies" Like Sarah Palin and Bill O'Reilly

Here is the thing...."Most" Tea Party gatherings are FAMILY'S....lots of children.....future patriots...OUR future. Some nut is going to start ingesting this insanity coming from all the way up to our own VP and open up somewhere. It's going to be children who pay for this insanity!

Controversial online video game "Tea Party Zombies Must Die" allows players to slaughter Tea Partiers and famous conservatives with a variety of weapons. The graphic, offensive, and violent game was created by StarvingEyes Advergaming but does not have any obvious connection to or advertisement for any other group.

More Bad News on Jobs: Stores Trim Holiday Hiring Plans

Although the vast majority of retailers — some 68 percent — plan on keeping holiday hiring at roughly the same level as last year, a quarter expect to trim hiring plans for seasonal workers, according to an annual hiring survey conducted by the Hay Group, a global management consultancy.

That’s a greater number than last year, when 17 percent of the retailers Hay surveyed said they would scale back hiring.

Saving the American Dream: Fix Debt, Cut Spending & Restore Prosperity

Between this and Paul Ryan...there may be a shot at righting the ship!

The Heritage Foundation offers a detailed plan to redesign entitlement programs, guarantee assistance to those who need it, and save the American dream for future generations.

Big Labor Discourages Job Growth

It is no surprise that unions are strong allies of the President, whose policies from the stimulus to Obamacare have included privileges for organized labor. Having spent $1.1 billion on politics and lobbying in the last election cycle, unions will continue to hold a prominent seat at the table in 2012.

The labor unions have helped lead to the staggering loss of manufacturing jobs in the United States, and the demands they have made on employers and governments helped create conditions of high unemployment in Detroit and across the country.

First Draft of Her Story: Sarah Palin Announces What a Future Presidential Campaign May Look Like

First, as part of a five point plan to revive America’s economy, Palin called for the elimination of the federal corporate income tax as a way to “break the back of crony capitalism.” Her reasons for eliminating the federal corporate income tax, though, were more important than the actual proposal because it was a way in which she drew a line to differentiate herself from not only President Barack Obama, but nearly every other GOP presidential candidate, most notably Texas Gov. Rick Perry.

Gingrich and Cain Perform Exceptionally at Palmetto Freedom Forum

There is not a more exceptional person in the 2012 GOP presidential field than Herman Cain in terms of life experiences and private sector success. And there is not a person who is capable of explaining American exceptionalism better than Newt Gingrich.

These strengths were on display on Labor Day as both candidates particiapted in the Palmetto Freedom Forum with three other GOP presidential candidates.

Gallup: Uninsured Have Increased Under Obama and Since Obamacare Was Enacted

The percentage of American adults who lack health insurance coverage has not only increased during the presidency of Barack Obama, but it has continued to increase since Obama signed his signature piece of legislation last year mandating that by 2014 every American carry health insurance, according to a Gallup survey released today.

Another Civil War?

My next statement is uncharacteristic of me because, as a former intelligence officer, business executive, homeland security professional and now an associate dean, my hallmark has always been prudence and ensuring my words are measured. But I feel it needs to be said.

A-10 Thunderbolt Airplane Is a Superb U.S. Fighting Tool

A little home pride here...my younger brother is a retired Air Force Hog Driver....LOVE this plane!

In an age of fancy unmanned aerial vehicles and stealth fighters, some of the meat-and-potato warfighting tools in the American arsenal get overlooked, but not today:

The Blaze brings you, the A-10 Warthog.

Goverment Federal Family - GO AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THEY SAY YOU CAN PICK YOUR FRIENDS..BUT NOT YOUR FAMILY.....UH...IN THIS CASE...I CAN AND WILL..no thanks!

In a creative use of language, the government may be trying to, perhaps not so subtly, convince you of its well-meaning intentions. In a day and age where the term “federal government” evokes feelings of disillusionment, and for some, even disgust, the Obama administration is opting for the softer, and evidently preferable term “federal family.”

But does “federal family” elicit warm, familial feelings, or does it instead conjure images of Big Brother and 1984?

Report: White House Already Seeking to Downplay Jobs Speech, Not ‘Be-All and End-All’ Plan

SURPRISE...SURPRISE....YAWN................

After some very public drama this past week about the logistics behind President Barack Obama’s address to a joint session of Congress on jobs, White House aides are reportedly already trying to downplay the significance of what the president will be talking about Thursday night.

According to Fox News, word is privately spreading that Obama will not be presenting his entire jobs plan:

Bush Aide: Chris Christie Is ‘Actively’ Considering 2012 Presidential Bid

The speculation simply won’t die. On Sunday, former George W. Bush speechwriter Michael Gerson said that New Jersey Governor Chris Christie was “actively” weighing the option of jumping into the Republican presidential race amid voter discontent with the current field.

“I don’t think Republicans regard this as a strong field,” Gerson said, during an appearance on ABC’s “This Week.“ ”So there is still talk of people getting in the race. Not just [Sarah] Palin but last week, Governor Chris Christie of New Jersey was in Chicago and had two meetings with serious Republican groups from the Midwest.”
