O’s Outfielder Luke Scott Questions Obama’s Birthplace CBS Baltimore – News, Sports, Weather, Traffic and the Best of Baltimore

Baltimore Orioles outfielder Luke Scott wasn’t only talking baseball at the winter meetings on Tuesday. He questioned President Barack Obama’s birthplace and claimed he did not represent the United States.

“Obama does not represent America. Nor does he represent anything what our forefathers stood for,” Scott said in an interview with David Brown of Yahoo’s Big League Stew."

The Atlantic’s Jeff Goldberg: ‘Don’t Donate To Those Rich Jews For Israel’s Fire Relief Fund’ - Big Journalism

In response to the catastrophic forest fires in Israel, the Jewish National Fund has mounted a special campaign asking for donations for its “Forest Fire Emergency Campaign.”

Goldberg urges people not to donate, because after all, those Rich Jew Boys have plenty of money, and besides, it’s all their own fault anyway for not having their fire services up to Goldberg’s standards, him being an expert and all."

‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’: Tilting at Lavender Windmills

We are a nation at war. We are engaged in combat in two countries. We have combat and support troops in scores of countries around the globe. Hostile groups plan and operate 24 hours a day against us. They would love to get their hands on an American to take hostage. They would love to pull off a Mumbai attack in downtown San Francisco.

Our enemies plot ways to weaken our economy and our society. Chinese espionage agents actively steal our economic secrets. Russian espionage officers run networks under commercial cover, are arrested, and then whisked out of the country in a 10 for 2 swap. The Russians muscle us into a new nuclear arms treaty."

Pigford Witness Report: Black Applicants Claim Racial Discrimination Against Black USDA Officials - Big Government

I’ve worked with the USDA for more than 25 years. The situation with Pigford has been horrible. There were cases of discrimination. Perhaps 100 cases in the whole state of [redacted]. But the federal government paid out thousands of claims, a lot of them churned by attorneys who made a lot of money.

Attorneys caught on to the fact that the federal government doesn’t keep records. They either don’t keep them well in terms of who they are meeting with or they are destroyed after a couple of years. Attorneys recognized this and exploited it in Pigford."

The Pigford Settlement and Obama’s Andrew Breitbart Smokescreen Left Coast Ledger

Back in July I was one of the first conservatives to criticize Andrew Breitbart for releasing the tape of Agriculture Department official Shirley Sherrod making a seemingly racist comment at a NAACP dinner.

I was wrong."

American Thinker: Cancun's Climate Crock

It began with a prayer to the Mayan moon goddess, and it has quickly devolved into a junk science circus.

Delegates to the United Nation's Framework Convention on Climate Change in Cancun, Mexico were greeted by the Convention's Executive Secretary, Christiana Figueres, who prayed to the goddess Ixchel."

American Thinker: Why the Senate Should Reject the New START

The new START (Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty) currently under consideration by Congress is irredeemably flawed. Instead of accepting the 'tax cuts for START' deal, Republican senators should reject the treaty for several reasons."

American Thinker: Obama lashes out at friend and foe

I think John Podhoretz hit it right on the money: he called the president's press conference yesterday, 'one of the most bizarre political events of my lifetime.'

Somehow, I don't think the Democrats disenchanted by his policy choices over the past couple of days are going to be in a coronating mood after Obama furiously upbraided them in ad hominem language of a kind we may never before have heard from a president."

Thomas Sowell: 'Tax cut' rhetoric doesn't cut it | Washington Examiner

Let's face it, politics is largely the art of deception, and political rhetoric is largely the art of misstating issues. A classic example is the current debate over whether to give money to the unemployed by extending how long unemployment benefits will be provided, or instead to give 'tax cuts to the rich.'"

Catch-and-release of Taliban fighters in Afghanistan angers troops | Washington Examiner

More than 500 suspected Taliban fighters detained by U.S. forces have been released from custody at the urging of Afghan government officials, angering both American troops and some Afghans who oppose the policy on the grounds that many of those released return to the battlefield to kill NATO soldiers and Afghan civilians."

Left sees tax surrender, says Obama reelection bid now crippled - TheHill.com

President Obama could be crippling his own reelection effort by making a deal with Republicans to extend all of the Bush-era tax cuts, Democratic strategists and liberal groups said Monday.

A two-year extension of tax rates ushered in by President George W. Bush nearly a decade ago, would ensure a resumption of today’s fiery debate in 2012, when Obama is expected to reapply for his job, strategists in both parties said."

It’s All Suspect….Or Is it Just Suspicious? | Off The Grid News

You rail against "Big Business"...you say TAKE IT ALL - It belongs "to us" anyway! Be careful what you wish for as the thought process trickles downward....and downward...

The issues that brought a tiny Missouri farmstead cheese plant to the forefront in the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s war on raw dairy continue to expand. This “war” remains troubling, if not more so. As a wise man once said, “Truth is stranger than fiction.” The intrigue doesn’t dissipate at all with the increase in information regarding Morningland Dairy. The tests, methods and procedures that began this tragedy are very questionable."

Federal pay freeze plan wouldn't stop raises - FederalTimes.com

President Obama spoke of the need for sacrifice last week when he announced a two-year pay freeze for federal employees.

But feds won't be too terribly deprived in 2011 and 2012. Despite the freeze, some 1.1 million employees will receive more than $2.5 billion in raises during that period."

American Thinker: Obama's War on Chris Christie

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has swiftly become a superstar in the political firmament. His stands for the taxpayers and against wasteful government spending have exhibited the type of tough decision-making people have been waiting for among our politicians; his forceful stands against the public unions and the stranglehold they have over our lives and futures have become YouTube hits. He is the real Governator, not like that pretender in California."

WikiLeaks cables reveal how US manipulated climate accord | Environment | The Guardian

I'm soooooooooooooooo surprised....

Hidden behind the save-the-world rhetoric of the global climate change negotiations lies the mucky realpolitik: money and threats buy political support; spying and cyberwarfare are used to seek out leverage."
