Mikulski’s ‘Paycheck Fairness Act’ Would Allow Employees to Discuss Salaries CBS DC

Nice...totally destroy what's left of standing corporations....Atlas is Shrugging each and every day now! We get what we elect - we get what we deserve....

A ‘Paycheck Fairness Act’ introduced in Congress last week would require employers to show pay disparity is related to job-performance and prohibit employer retaliation for sharing salary information with coworkers.

IRS: Parents Must Pay Federal Fine for Uninsured Kids.....

The regulations clarify provisions of Obamacare that seem to say that a parent will be held liable for Obamacare’s individual mandate penalty if they don’t have insurance coverage for their children.

IRS: Cheapest Obamacare Plan Will Be $20,000 Per Family....

The IRS's assumption that the cheapest plan for a family will cost $20,000 per year is found in examples the IRS gives to help people understand how to calculate the penalty they will need to pay the government if they do not buy a mandated health plan.

Conservatism is More Than Growth and Opportunity....

President Obama either signed conservatism's death warrant last week, with his second inaugural's theme of entitlements forever, climate wars forever, and equality forever, or he sent the liberal Army Group A heading for the Caucasus. But don't worry liberals: the Sixth Army will take care of Reagangrad.

Feds stumbling after Anonymous launches 'Operation Last Resort' ....

The U.S. Department of Justice still has egg on it face after hacktivist group Anonymous launched 'Operation Last Resort' commandeering Federal websites, threatening to release government information, and demanding legal reform.

Media Falsely Claims Gun Activists Heckled Father of Murdered Newtown Boy.....

Tuesday morning, many in the media went all in with a sanctimonious attack against gun-rights supporters, whom they accused of heckling Neil Heslin, the parent of a six-year-old boy murdered in the Sandy Hook massacre. The only problem is that it was all a lie. Mr. Heslin was not heckled.

So Why Have Military Helicopters Been Flying Over Miami? .....

A number of Miami residents have been startled to see military helicopters buzzing above their heads throughout the past week. The helicopters have been seen circling the skies, soldier-like figures have apparently been repelling onto rooftops, and some have even reported hearing what sounds like gunfire. So what’s going on?

According to officials, there’s nothing to be concerned about. But that hasn’t stopped a number of local residents from raising concern.

Another Massive Military ‘Training Drill’ Involving Helicopters Spotted in Houston, Texas....

Following reports of a military exercise occurring in Miami this week, KTRK-TV shot video of military-style helicopters roaming the skies in Houston, Texas. There have also been several reports of gunfire in the area.

The U.S. Army tells KTRK-TV that they are overseeing a “multi-agency training drill” at the old Carnegie High School on Houston’s south side. There were reportedly armed men in fatigues, a lot of firearms and what many believed were real live rounds.

CBS Runs Segment Called 'Let's Give Up On The Constitution'....

I've got a simple idea: Let's give up on the Constitution. I know, it sounds radical, but it's really not. Constitutional disobedience is as American as apple pie. For example, most of our greatest Presidents -- Jefferson, Lincoln, Wilson, and both Roosevelts -- had doubts about the Constitution, and many of them disobeyed it when it got in their way.

Sunstein: Obama Wants 'Second Bill of Rights'....

Sunstein located the source of Obama's inspiration in Franklin Delano Roosevelt's 1944 State of the Union address, rather than the South African constitution--though the American academics whose writings inspired South Africa's ambitious Bill of Rights could well have taken Roosevelt's proposals as their foundation.

Roosevelt's Second Bill of Rights--not a list of constitutional amendments, but policy goals--was as follows:

A waiting period for laws.....

I’d like to propose a “waiting period” for legislation. No bill should be voted on without hearings, debate and a final text that’s available online for at least a week. (A month would be better. How many bills really couldn’t wait a month?)

And if the bill is advertised as addressing a “tragedy” or named after a dead child, this period should double.

Obama Threatens Fox News, Limbaugh....

And if those Republicans don’t compromise, Obama suggested that the fault would lie at the feet of Fox News and Rush Limbaugh – and that the calculus had to be changed to force Fox News and Limbaugh to stop holding Republicans accountable to conservatism.

The Great Gun Debate: Selwyn Duke vs. Brett Joshpe

A few weeks ago, author and Manhattan-based lawyer Brett Joshpe penned a pro-gun-control piece whose thrust was that conservatives need to be sensible with respect to firearms legislation. It's not sensible, said he, to oppose any and all further restrictions on Second Amendment rights. Well, let's discuss what's "sensible."

Stephen King: NRA Should 'Clean Up Blood, Brains and Chunks of Intestine' After Next Massacre.....

Not surprisingly, there was a lot of hypocrisy in King's piece noting "to claim that America’s 'culture of violence' is responsible for school shootings is tantamount to cigarette company executives declaring that environmental pollution is the chief cause of cancer."

“It took more than one slim novel to cause [these teenagers] to do what they did," King said.

As Slate noted, "He points out that the top 10 books and the top 10 movies in the country do very little to glorify gun violence, specifically, and also cites a slight dip in the sales of some gun-centric video games, concluding that 'Americans have very little interest in entertainment featuring gunplay.'"

A violent Saturday leaves 7 dead - Chicago....

The Cook County medical examiner identified the two as Dimitri Buford, 32, of the 1400 block of North Sedgwick Street in Chicago, and Antonio Fenner, 16, of the 4400 block of of West 15th Street in Chicago.

No one has been arrested.

'Turn 'Em All In': Feinstein's Assault Weapons Ban Grabs Handguns, Shotguns....

The truth of this is playing out before us today.
