Morgan Freeman: Tea Party Doing Whatever it Can ‘to Get this Black Man Out of Here’

I absolutely love Morgan Freeman...however...he could not be more off course if he tried. I agree racism is worse...but I also believe HIS side stirs the pot far more than ours...racists are racists.....they come in all colors, genders & creeds. I do not agree with Obama...AT ALL....but it has ZERO to do with his color....felt pretty much the same way about ol" Bill too...

Academy Award winner Morgan Freeman said Tea Party Republicans are on a racially-fueled mission to get President Barack Obama out of office, in an interview with CNN set to air Friday.

Speaking with host Piers Morgan, Freeman said Obama’s election, instead of curbing racism, has “made it worse.”

response to Morgan Freeman

A crowd of white and black Americans gathers at the Lincoln Memorial for the March on Washington in August of 1963. The paper reads, "They're Pouring In From All Over."
Source: Library of Congress
About a year ago, at a "Tea Party" rally in Washington DC, a group of us discussed an ironic realization: the last time we'd been in DC for a rally like this was back in the 1960's, when we were there to protest racial segregation... yet as "tea party" people, we were now being called "racists."

Freeman's remarks brought this to mind. Is he right? Another possibility is this: perhaps the real culprit at work is our culture of blame.

It is said, great leaders look in the mirror when things go wrong and out the window when things go right. But gone are the days when "the buck stops here" can be found on a presidential - or any other - desk in Washington.  Our government is riddled with finger-pointing, distrust and risk avoidance. Self-interest, greed and all-consuming fears about re-election are running the show.

When something goes wrong, blame is the answer. We don't acknowledge mistakes and try to learn from them. We look for scapegoats. And it seems that name-calling - like "racist" - is exactly that. Something to blame - to account for dissent.

It cheapens the entire political life of these United States to label dissent as racism.

A simple example. A well-documented study of the Spanish government’s green jobs experiment  found  there were “2.2 jobs destroyed for every “green job” created.” Due to the subsidies expended per worker in the renewable sector, government financing the creation of green jobs led to a reduction in overall employment opportunity at a rate of 9 jobs destroyed for every 4 added. (reference)

When Tea Party folks disagree with presidential energy policies, it is not a mindless expression of racism against a black president. It is an expression of concern for the well-being of our country, based on some very real data.

Our country is in trouble. We have a Congress hamstrung by its own self-interest. Decisions need to be made, responsibility taken, and - somehow - we've got to end the finger-pointing and name-calling and start acting like mature adults. Learn from mistakes and move forward.

Pastors Unite Against IRS Johnson Amendment on Political Speech at Pulpit

Considering how important the "Pulpit" was in our country's founding...I'd say it's time to push back!

A regulation added to the IRS code back in 1954 has muddied the waters for pastors, creating a scenario in which some leaders are too fearful of federal consequences to exercise their right to free speech from the pulpit.

Vile Comments Lead to Bar Fight Between Bristol Palin & Heckler

When Palin approaches him, the man says, again, “Your mother’s the f**king devil.” While she does respond to him continuously, she refers to him as “sir,” which is an oddly kind title considering the words he’s throwing her way.

Obamacare Undercover

While Democrats try to keep ObamaCare out of the electoral spotlight, the Obama administration is preparing a rude awakening for Americans in 2014.

A few weeks ago, our humorless President tried to make campaign hay out of a play on words, telling his audience that "I have no problem with people saying Obama cares. I do care. If the other side wants to be the folks who don't care, that's fine with me." Since that went over like a lead balloon, there has been radio silence from the White House on the Obama health law.

Does Romney Truly Embrace Tea Party Principles?

He is NOT a supporter of smaller government. He says he is anti-tax...but in Mass. he called new taxes "Fees"....somethin Obama embraced in his latest "Jobs Bill" language. See...they think we're too stupid to see past the verbiage.
He also would repeal "Obamacare"...hey, thanks pal, but that does us here in Massachusetts NO GOOD.
You stuck us with Romneycare and then beat feet to run for President.
As this article says...if he is the nominee..I'll vote for him - but if he is....BEWARE.....he is Obama in Republican clothing....mark my words...............

Our in-your-face Obama-must-go approach was probably discomfiting to them.

Mary Kay Ash of Mary Kay Cosmetics fame said, "The speed of the leader is the speed of the gang." I believe that Romney supporter's lukewarm response to our presentation reflects his attitude regarding the Tea Party and our principles.

It confirms -- to me, at least -- that Mitt Romney is an establishment moderate Republican, willing to date and even have a live-in relationship with the Tea Party, but not committed enough to marry the Tea Party.

Obama raising with Missouri stimulus beneficiary

Obama's underhanded moves are literally coming in DAILY! Do we hear ANYTHING reported on them....? Of course not.
Imagine if this was GWB...

President Barack Obama will raise money in early October with a Missouri businessman whose company benefited from a $107 million federal tax credit to develop a wind power facility in his state.

Tom Carnahan, a scion of Missouri’s most prominent Democratic political family, is listed on Obama’s campaign website as a host of a $25,000-per-person fundraiser to be held in St. Louis on October 4.

Christie back in spotlight as Perry sags

Good Lord! PLEASE come on in!!!!!

With the party’s frontrunner sagging, Chris Christie is reconsidering pleas from Republican elites and donors to run for president in 2012, two Republican sources told POLITICO.

The New Jersey governor has indicated he is listening to big-money backers and Republican influence-makers, and will let them know in roughly a week whether he has moved off his threat-of-suicide vow to stay on the sidelines of a presidential race that remains amorphous heading into the fall, the two sources said.

Michael Moore: "Patriotic Americans" Will Wait Longer For Healthcare

And when you are having a heart attack because you are the size of a small house....and all those "Patriot" American's are blocking your access...you know...waiting in line.......how's that gonna work for you?
Oh yeah...I forgot....you are RICH....smarter than all of us....one of the chosen....you'll NEVER have to "wait in line" with all us "Patriot" American's will you? Just like our fearless leaders.....

"Things that are not life-threatening," Moore said on HBO's "Real Time" with host Bill Maher. "The reason why you have to wait sometimes in those countries is they let everybody in the line. We make 50 million people out of the line so the line is shorter, so sometimes you have to wait as long. If you are a patriotic American, you want every American to be covered the same as you. No, not 'I'm going to get ahead because I have health insurance and they don't,'" Michael Moore explained.

Obamacare HHS rule would give government everybody’s health records

Not like we didn't tell you so...................
It’s been said a thousand times: Congress had to pass President Obama’s health care law in order to find out what’s in it. But, despite the repetitiveness, the level of shock from each new discovery never seems to recede.

This time, America is learning about the federal government’s plan to collect and aggregate confidential patient records for every one of us.

Gov't pays 600M to dead people....

And again I say...you wonder why there is a Tea Party??? I always thought "I see dead People" was uttered by a little boy....apparently not.

The federal government has doled out more than $600 million in benefit payments to dead people over the past five years, a watchdog report says.

Such payments are meant for retired or disabled federal workers, but sometimes the checks keep going out even after the former employees pass away and the deaths are not reported, according to the report this week from the Office of Personnel Management's inspector general, Patrick McFarland.

Gangsta Government....

The Era of Obama was supposed to be a time of Hope and Change, transparent and accountable government, and bipartisan song-singing -- indeed, as Obama himself put it, "the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal." Reality has been wholly different. A recession that, according to the National Bureau of Economic Research, ended in June 2009 but has given way to crippling economic stagnation, with no end in sight.

Herman Cain: If You Mess With Israel, You’re Messing With the USA

I just keep liking this guy more and more....

As the United Nations is poised to vote on a unilateral Palestinian declaration of statehood this week, all eyes turned to Israel during Thursday night’s Republican presidential debate.

Businessman and presidential hopeful Herman Cain stated emphatically that the nation’s Middle East policy should be such that any country that “messes with Israel,” is in fact challenging the United States:

Michael Moore Threatens The "Rich": Let's "Deal With It Nonviolently Now"

So...what are ya gonna do Mike....when you get "Violent" because all of us don't want to give away what we make so the government can piss it away???? Ya gonna sit on us????

"The smart rich know they can only build the gate so high. And, and, sooner or later history proves that people when they've had enough aren’t going to take it anymore. And much better to deal with it nonviolently now, through the political system, than what could possibly happen in the future, which nobody wants to see," Michael Moore said on Current TV's "Countdown" program.

Solyndra executives refuse to testify at House hearing

Surprise...surprise...........

Two top executives at bankrupt Solyndra have invoked their Fifth Amendment rights and refused to answer questions at a House hearing Friday.

The Solyndra executives have sent letters to the House Energy and Commerce committee, saying they will invoke their Fifth Amendment right to remain silent.

Rohrabacher's mea culpa for changing Wednesday vote: 'I'm chickens--t' - Ya think.....it's votes like this that make us all wonder ...

California Republican Rep. Dana Rohrabacher offered a "mea culpa" at a closed-door meeting of House GOP lawmakers on Thursday afternoon.

Less than 24 hours after he joined 47 other Republican lawmakers to kill a leadership-sponsored measure to fund the government, the outspoken Golden State representative earned a standing ovation when he called himself "chickens--t" for opposing the continuing resolution to avoid upsetting constituents.

Paul Ryan to lead RNC fundraising efforts against President Obama

Thanks heavens...Paul Ryan!
And YEAH! We DO want to cut back the Federal Government....what part of GET OUT of my home, my school curriculum, my church, my wallet, my business, my car, my kitchen...etc...etc..DON'T you understand!?!?!?!

Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) will lead GOP efforts to raise the money needed to defeat President Obama, Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus announced Friday.

The appointment of Ryan to chair the RNC's Presidential Trust could galvanize GOP donors, but could also revive the Democratic argument that Republicans want to gut the federal government.

Obamacare's Long-Term Care CLASS Act Unsustainable, Unravels

And remember people - the blue print for this mess is RomneyCare..I know...I live UNDER it............

Next up for implosion? The Community Living Assistance Services and Supports Act, otherwise known as the “CLASS Act,” which creates a government-run long term care insurance program too costly to sustain. At a time when entitlement programs in America have spun out of control, liberal proponents of Obamacare were pushing a new one that had no hope of staying afloat. Now, they are trying hide the fact that they were wrong as another bungling layer of Obamacare is exposed.

FBI's 'Stingray' Cellphone Tracker Stirs a Fight Over Search Warrants, Fourth Amendment

Constitution written before digital age....perhaps for this very thing............

Stingrays are one of several new technologies used by law enforcement to track people's locations, often without a search warrant. These techniques are driving a constitutional debate about whether the Fourth Amendment, which prohibits unreasonable searches and seizures, but which was written before the digital age, is keeping pace with the times.

Taking Down Socialist 'Tax Fairness' Rhetoric

One thing's for sure, Barack Hussein Obama is unrelenting in his effort to break the back of free enterprise. His Labor Day stimulus welfare, part deux didn't get a rise, so now he's rolling out the big guns.

Conservatives Revolt in House to Help Defeat Stopgap Spending Bill - AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!

House conservatives unexpectedly bolted from the Republican leadership on Wednesday and helped Democrats vote down a $1.43 trillion stopgap spending measure to keep the federal government operating when the 2011 fiscal year ends next week. The measure was defeated 195 yeas to 230 nays, and as the fifteen-minute vote stretched to a half hour, 48 Republicans ultimately voted no.

Bill Clinton: Obama's Approach To The Deficit Is "A Little Confusing"

And the wheels on the bus ( the one Bill threw Barry under ) go round and round....

“I personally don’t believe we ought to be raising taxes or cutting spending until we get this economy off the ground. If we cut government spending, which I normally would be very inclined to do when the deficit’s this big, with interest rates already near zero you can’t get the benefits out of it.

US walks out as Iran delivers anti-US speech

And we have this damn building on our soil WHY?

U.S. diplomats walked out of the U.N. General Assembly Thursday as Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad delivered a fiercely anti-American speech, attacking the U.S. as an "arrogant power" ruled by greed.

More than a dozen diplomats from other countries, including France, left the chamber soon after.

Twenty Percent, Si. Twenty-Five Percent, No.

It is clear from the way President Barack Obama has been talking about the federal budget recently, and about taxation since he came to office, that all the money that Americans earn belongs to the federal government. The key words in this conversation are "tax expenditures." President Obama has lost a lot in tax expenditures and he wants more of those tax expenditures back. He can spend that money, he believes, more wisely than the citizenry -- that is to say, you and me.

Elizabeth Warren on Fair Taxation - Pious Misdirection....Ya think!?!?!

Jonah Goldberg calls Warren's argument a "pious misdirection." That seems like an apt discription. Warren's little tirade doesn't touch on any issues of the day. Although it's meant to seem relevant, her words would be just as applicable to any other time or place as they are to 2011 Massachusetts.

Michelle Malkin Harassed on Twitter After Alec Baldwin Online Rampage

Nice Alec.....Nice. I think you are a good actor.
But, REAL LIFE has consequences. Stuff like this isn't 30 Rock.
This great country allows you to "Tweet" your nonsense every day...It's your right...as it is HERS.
You can agree to disagree....but to bring the threat of violence down on another because you come unarmed into the arena of ideas is beyond the pale....

Wednesday’s execution of convicted murderer Troy Davis sparked heated, passionate debate, though perhaps no protests reached the same level of vitriol as a Twitter exchange between actor Alec Baldwin and conservative commentator Michelle Malkin.

Study: Most new Texas jobs went to immigrants

The study notes that 56 percent of newly-arrived immigrants in Texas since 2007 have had a high-school degree or less. But it also notes that "More than one out three…of newly arrived immigrants who took a job had at least some college." It would be a mistake, the report concludes, "to assume that immigrants are only competing for jobs at the bottom end of the labor market."

We Must End Baseline Budgeting - great Primer from Rush

CALLER: Hey, you said something earlier in the show, Rush, that really gave me an idea. You said, "Whoever controls the language controls the argument," and that is so true. That brings up something you talked about a couple three, four weeks ago. You were talking about baseline budgeting and how they have a three, four, five percent increase cooked into the budget so the CBO has to score it. If they got a 4% increase cooked in the budget then the CBO has to "cut" 1% -- if they have it increase by 3% -- they gotta score that as a 1% cut.

Lightsquared debacle....

After I blogged last week about Barack Obama’s burgeoning LightSquared scandal, I received a miffed e-mail from billionaire hedge fund manager/Obama donor/LightSquared principal backer Philip Falcone under the subject line “Tip.” Falcone defended the Obama administration and noted that the predecessor to LightSquared, called Skyterra, had benefited from some previous regulatory approvals under the Bush administration. (Sound familiar? It’s the same “Blame Bush” defense the White House and its allies are using to try and deflect the Solyndra debacle.)

Death of an Industry: The President's Impoverishment of America's Fishermen

This is TRUE. We know it because we live it. John Kerry is even involved....and ignored....

President Obama vacationed again on Martha's Vineyard. While Barry lazed here last year, the fishermen of New England ran a full-page ad in the Vineyard Gazette titled "Mr. President, We Need Your Help." The fishermen came to the Vineyard in their boats and paraded in the harbor to emphasize their plight. The American Thinker ran a piece on the events.

Union Alert - One day re-hire yields millions for Chicago union boss

But in a new twist, a Tribune/WGN-TV investigation has found that Gannon is eligible for the lucrative pension deal only because City Hall rehired the former Streets and Sanitation Department worker for a single day in 1994, then granted him an indefinite leave of absence. (snip)
State law allowed Gannon to retire from the city in 2004, the year he turned 50; since then, he has received about $1 million from his city pension. He stands to collect approximately $5 million during his lifetime, according to an analysis based on the fund's actuarial assumptions.

Obama touts "Jobs" Bill at Bridge that won't QUALIFY!!! Does he have ANY kind of front team?

You know all those rusting bridges that President Obama wants to spend billions more dollars repairing to allegedly stimulate the economy?

He's headed out to one today which he's described as a "bridge that needs repair between Ohio and Kentucky that's on one of the busiest trucking routes in North America." It is on a busy trucking route, spanning the Ohio River between Covington, Ky., and Cincinnati.

Soros turns up in Obama's LightSquared imbroglio - SPOOKY DUDE Alert!

As Republican lawmakers begin to dig into the White House's cozy relationship with a startup wireless company and the wealthy Democratic donor who owns it, a new character has appeared on the story's edges: liberal superdonor, conservative bete noire and controversial investor George Soros.

Explosive Email Shows Anti-Palin Author McGinniss, Random House Likely Published Literary Hoax

Water seeks it's own level..............

In the email below, sent in January of 2011, McGinniss reveals that his manuscript, then under legal review at Crown/Random House, could not prove its most headline-grabbing allegations. And yet, many of these “salacious stories” that lacked “proof” (in McGinniss’s own words) ended up in the book, and on televisions everywhere during the author’s current media tour … without proper sourcing, and without any apparent new evidence to support them.

Elizabeth Warren On Class Warfare: ‘There Is Nobody in This Country Who Got Rich On His Own’

Well....before my HEAD EXPLODES....
I am an owner of a small company.
I seldom get paid in order to keep this place going through this "Economic Upturn..!?!?!"
However when I do...I pay ALL KINDS of taxes....
I have no children...yet I pay for schools through my property tax....
I pay payroll taxes....
I pay FICA for my employees...
I pay gas taxes....I pay Sales Tax in every State that demands it...
I paid for my education....now my taxes are paying for my grand children's education...
We took everything my family had and rolled the dice to start our company.
I pay higher Corporate taxes than GE even though we LOST money last year....
I pay Excise Taxes for my Roads.....those roads as a corporate CREEP I utilize to ship my product....AND I then pay the tariff to ship those very products...another roads tax....

And yet you say I OWE MORE because somehow I take "Advantage" of the system...?

No...as they say in Atlas Shrugged - there are ALOT of us CORPORATE CREEPS who are getting close to the "I QUIT".....what are you all going to do when there are no jobs to tax???? No one willing to shoulder the heavy load you want even heavier?

You want MORE from us to squander it more "fairly"...

GOOD LORD!!!!!!!!! Who the hell do you think you are?

GET OUT of my house, my family, my car, my business, my schools, my business.....GET OUT!!!!!!!!!

If I was ever going to work for Scott Brown it's now! I may not agree with alot he does...but he DOES KNOW what hard work and Entrepenerialship means....JEEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Former White House financial reform adviser Elizabeth Warren, who is now seeking to challenge Republican Senator Scott Brown in Massachusetts, is definitely not shy in voicing her views on class warfare — or, according to Warren, the lack thereof.

In a recent appearance captured on video, Warren, who is perhaps best known for helping to launch the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, stated boldly that there is no such thing as class warfare and that there is “nobody in this country who got rich on his own.”

Social Security - Perry vrs. Romney.....

First, reflect upon Governor Romney’s point that Social Security is not a failure “by any measure,” and try to square that with the fact that Social Security is mandatory. Each worker is compelled to pay 10.6% of his wage, on up to $106,800, to the government for the retirement portion of the system. That means the average-wage earner has no choice on how to allocate 10.6% of his wage income for retirement. That’s bad enough, but it’s made worse by the fact that his Social Security benefits are very low: about half of what his Social Security taxes would provide if they were invested in a diversified portfolio of stocks and bonds.

The Grand Jihad for the US

Akram was well aware that in the U.S., it would be extremely difficult to promote Islam by means of terror attacks. Thus the “grand jihad” that he and his Brotherhood comrades envisioned was not a violent one involving bombings and shootings, but rather a stealth (or “soft”) jihad aiming to impose Islamic law (Sharia) over every region of the earth by incremental, non-confrontational means, such as working to “expand the observant Muslim base”; to “unif[y] and direc[t] Muslims' efforts”; and to “present Islam as a civilization alternative.” At its heart, Akram's document details a plan to conquer and Islamize the United States – not as an ultimate objective, but merely as a stepping stone toward the larger goal of one day creating “the global Islamic state.”

Brother, Can You Spare a Euro?

But many within the nation’s ruling socialist party don’t see it that way. “What our creditors are asking of the country is unthinkable,” reacted labor leader Yiannis Panagopoulos to the latest round of austerity measures. “A country is its people, and above all it is they that must be saved.” One needn’t even eavesdrop on the conversations of Greek leftists to stumble across rationalizations for not downsizing the state.

The Soros Plot to Topple Netanyahu - Spooky Dude wants to rule the World....

In late February, the Israeli Knesset passed the NGO Funding Transparency Bill by 40 to 34. It had been a long journey for the bill, which despite, its neutered, state was still a declaration of war by the conservative Likud Party against the shadow NGO empire that was the Soros way.

Prosecutors File Trial Brief Offering Glimpse of Details of Tierney Family Finances ...He didn't know.....really?

All citizens of the 6th Congressional District must read the Trial Brief filed by United States Prosecutors for the upcoming October 17, 2011, illegal gambling, racketeering, money laundering, and tax fraud criminal trial of Daniel Eremian, Congressman John Tierney’s brother-in-law, in which Tierney’s wife, Patrice Tierney, is expected to testify.

GM's OnStar now spying on your car for profit even after you unsubscribe?

Never wanted an OnStar because of this...I always wondered....People always laughed at my X-Files worries.....who's laughing now....?

If you're the owner of a fairly new General Motors product, you may want to take a close look at the most recent OnStar terms and conditions. As it turns out, the company has altered the parameters under which it can legally collect GPS data on your vehicle.

Michelle Obama dazzles in New York, wearing $42000.00 diamond bangles by H-Town's Katie Decker

So....is this THEIR FAIR SHARE? "Let them eat Cake" Michele....

That was no ordinary bling on the wrist of First Lady Michelle Obama at the DNC fundraiser in New York Tuesday night. Those fancy diamond cuffs were the creation of 23-year-old Katie Decker, whose namesake jewelry line has been making a serious splash since her graduation from Texas A&M two years ago.

Airing Anti-Palin Bilge at NBC | NewsBusters.org

Who are “the people”? When the target’s a conservative, NBC “News” clearly doesn’t find it necessary to prove damaging personal charges from anonymous character assassins before spreading them. Guthrie enabled McGinniss much at all as the personal attacks mounted. “He accuses the famed hockey mom of using her children as props and reports she was not much of a mother at all.” She was “virtually nonexistent as a mother,” insisted McGinniss. Guthrie also forwards that Todd and Sarah Palin were “fighting incessantly and threatening divorce.”

Rick Perry - Proven Leadership

Operation Twist....Fed is expected to take new action to lift economy

They've left all of us twisting in the wind so long...one of their best "Names" yet............

On Monday, the four highest-ranking Republicans in Congress sent Bernanke a letter cautioning the Fed against taking further steps to lower interest rates. Their letter suggested that lower rates could escalate the risk of high inflation.

The plan the Fed is considered most likely to unveil Wednesday has been dubbed "Operation Twist" and dates to the early 1960s. The Fed used a similar program then to "twist" long-term rates lower relative to short-term rates.

Expectations that the Fed will do so again, along with renewed fears of another recession, have led investors to buy up U.S. Treasurys. Treasury yields have dropped in response.

Obama Investigations: Fast and Furious, Solyndra, LightSquared

IF this were Bush.....this would be being hammered by the Media 24/7......instead we hear crickets chirping.....

You wouldn’t know it if you solely paid attention to the mainstream media, but while President Barack Obama attempts to sell the country on hundreds of billions in new stimulus spending and $1.5 trillion in new taxes, his Administration is smack in the middle of several growing scandals: the Operation Fast and Furious gun-running debacle and the crony capitalism wrongdoing involving Solyndra and LightSquared.

The Buffett Alternative Tax - Bad History repeating itself....

Washington has repeated nearly every economic policy mistake of the 1930s in recent years, so why not repeat one of the bigger blunders of the 1960s too? We refer to President Obama's proposal yesterday for a new "Buffett Rule" to raise taxes on Americans earning more than $1 million a year. This may sound familiar to readers of a certain age, because it is how the current, and much-hated, Alternative Minimum Tax was born.

Glut the Beast - Obama's Budget Strategy

At the outset of his presidency, Barack Obama began a concerted, sustained campaign to alter fundamentally the size and scope of government: The goal — to supersize government; the strategy — to “glut the beast”; the occasion — the recession. Obama’s most recent budget proposal/campaign stunt is just the latest expression of that strategy.

SEIU’s Stephen Lerner at Progressive Summit Tells Unions, Community Organizers and Students They Need to Escalate Protests, Break Laws.......KEEP THIS

This is so important to get out everywhere we can.....

We Are Heroes, Who Need to Create a Crisis: SEIU’s Stephen Lerner at Progressive Summit Tells Unions, Community Organizers and Students They Need to Escalate Protests, Break Laws, Occupy Abandoned Houses and Spread the Crisis All Over U.S.

Solyndra Lawyers |are BIG Democratic Donors

Really!?!?! REALLY...I'm shocked....shocked.....Yawn.............

The law firms representing the executives are Orrick, Harrington and Sutcliffe, and Keker and Van Nest. Both are major contributors to Democrats and both have handsomely helped President Barack Obama’s political efforts, according to information retrieved from Center for Responsive Politics databanks.

GOP Leadership could face a Tea Party Revolt...AMEN!

I agree...I like John Boehner...but I get the feeling he too thinks "We the People" are just too stupid to see their slight of hand....I hope not....but I'm feelin' it.

Republican leaders face a growing perception among some tea party factions that they are not interested in holding the Obama administration’s feet to the fire on spending. Some say the Republicans talked a good game going into the 2010 midterms but have failed to deliver since winning control of the House of Representatives.

$16 Muffins Found at U.S. Meetings...why not? We The People are just a Government ATM Machine...!

And we have trouble getting Dunkin's for the guys each morning.....

U.S. Justice Department agencies spent too much for food at conferences, in one case serving $16 muffins and in another dishing out beef Wellington appetizers that cost $7.32 per serving, an audit found.

“Some conferences featured costly meals, refreshments, and themed breaks that we believe were indicative of wasteful or extravagant spending,” the Justice Department’s inspector general wrote in a report released today.

How the Drive-By Media Became the Hit-and-Run Media: Author Joe McGinniss’s Further Misadventures in Wasilla

Joe McGinniss, author of a controversial new biography of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, was charged in connection with a hit-and-run accident in Wasilla, Alaska in July 2010, police and court records show.

McGinniss had moved to Wasilla in the spring of 2010 to work on his book, and rented the house next door to the Palin family, prompting Palin and her husband to erect a higher fence to protect their children’s privacy.

On July 12, 2010, at about 2 p.m., McGinniss was allegedly driving an overdue rental car when he collided with an unoccupied vehicle parked near Kaladi Brothers, a popular local coffee shop, causing minor but “disabling” damage, according to the collision report.

Albany Times Union: Obama Tax Hikes Not Class Warfare, It’s ‘Fairness’ - If I hear Shared sacrifice & fair share" one more time today - AHHHHH!

I swear - Atlas Shrugged should be required reading before you comment on "Fairness".....

AIt’s good to see the editorial board at the Times Union isn’t even bothering to mask their liberal bias these days. Via a blog known as The Observation Deck, which boasts some of the more prominent members of the newspapers staff, including editor and vice-president, Rex Smith, editor-at-large, Harry Rosenfeld, and publisher George R. Hearst III, the Union has been printing some of the most biased editorials in New York media in recent weeks. Yesterday’s entry was no different - completely lacking in substantiating facts, and holding a unique disdain for economic reality.

It’s Not Just the Economy, Stupid

Bill Clinton came up with a great campaign slogan in 1992. “It’s the economy stupid.” Today that slogan is tossed around by Tea Partiers and Republicans along with Reagan’s line about a rising tide lifts all boats. The main thrust of these slogans address the issue of the national economy. These slogans are valid to a certain degree. However, I would like to point out that IT’S NOT JUST THE ECONOMY. There are a plethora of issues that are also of vital concern. Fortunately for us Sarah has already got a record or staked out a position on all of them.

Is the US Department of Labor About To Develop Hit Lists of Individuals To Be Targeted By Unions? Hummmmm, Dept. of Labor in cahoots with the Unions?

One of the problems that unions have had for years is that their effectiveness to wage successful strikes has been diminished because employers choose to operate their businesses through the use of outsourcing or the hiring of replacement workers. While much of the blame has been aimed at Ronald Reagan’s use of Jimmy Carter’s strike plan during the air traffic controllers’ strike, the reality is, since 1938, employers have always had the right to permanently replace economic strikers

Two Gov. Perry Stories Feature Texas-Sized Condescension and Hostility

When I see this...I know Perry worry's them.....now he's even MORE interesting to me!

Perry comes to the race with a remarkable lack of national experience and exposure. The only recent equivalent would probably be Sarah Palin, and it’s not surprising that Texas and Alaska would produce the people with little frame of reference outside of their home states. Both places are huge, so it’s easy for people who live there to think they’re in a self-enclosed world. If Texas or Alaska had the population density of New York City, either one could contain every person on the planet, although of course a lot of them would be very uncomfortable.

'Solar Panels in the Hood' And Other Van Jones Scams

Around the same time the taxpayers were being milked in 2007, Anthony "Van" Jones was caught up in his personal conversion story from radical communist to a more benevolent career of organizing in the name of greenery. In this video from 2008, Jones contritely admits that eating green veggies at his meditation groups got him thinking about other things in life. He must have had a eureka moment: his former activist endeavors like PoliceWatch and INSwatch could never bring in the kind of green connected with the newest scam perpetrated on taxpayers--green jobs. Jones switched his focus from police brutality, prison reform, civil rights and immigration issues to "tofu."

Why the Health Care System Can't Cure Cancer

Very interesting read...our own incredible technology is actually slowing us down....

To be sure, the service industry does brilliantly when facing human engineering problems -- basically, repairing things that are broken. Such technical solutions do not depend on absolute understanding, since you can stent a heart blood vessel without knowing every gene related to heart disease. But when the scientists and the managers are separated to such a degree as they are today, medical progress on the whole must necessarily suffer.

New Jobs Bill Overrides State’s Rights !

This is nothing more than a blatant power grab! It has NOTHING to do with putting American's back to work!

With the introduction of The American Jobs Act, Americans may soon witness a rerun of the Obama healthcare struggle. Much like its predecessor, president Obama’s newest bill contains certain provisions that would appear to benefit those who wrote the bill more than those for whom the bill was supposedly written.

Obama's plan will create jobs -- for China ...

Maybe President Obama should have called it the Chinese Jobs Act.

That way he could have given his good friend Jeffrey Immelt, chairman and chief executive of General Electric, a shout-out, or asked him to take a bow.

Immelt, who was sitting in the gallery of the House of Representatives as Obama's guest during Obama's American Jobs Act speech to a joint session of Congress last week, had the face of a man looking well pleased with himself. And why not?

He is a man who has created more jobs than anyone else in Washington, including Obama. The jobs just happen to be in China, that's all.

Romney pummels, profits from Fannie, Freddie

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has long been critical of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, blaming the government-backed housing lenders for inducing the home-mortgage crisis and saying they have become too unwieldy.

“I look at Fannie and Freddie and just think that obviously they’ve grown massively beyond the scope that had been envisioned for them originally,” he said two weeks ago at a forum in South Carolina. “The failures of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd are just so legion that we have to rethink about how we’re going to support a growing housing industry.”

Moody's Economist - their "favorite Conservative is neither - he's a Registered Democrat

McCain would have been Obama Light. If someone sights him and/or agrees with him - RUN Forrest, RUN!!!!!!!!!!

When progressives try to make the case that all the economy needs is more spending to boost economic growth and job creation they often turn to Zandi, a former advisor to Senator John McCain’s 2008 campaign for president, as exhibit A.

Quick Sand of Health Care Restrictions - Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome

Dr. Macchiarini has traveled to Vermont to interview Rachel, and he believes she is a prime candidate for a trachea transplant. If all goes well, Rachel will be the twelfth person, and the first American, to undergo this surgery. But before the process of growing a new trachea can begin, Dr. Macchiarini first needs to extract some of Rachel’s stem cells and test those cells. And that testing procedure must be approved by the NIH before anyone can perform it in the United States.

Did NY Magazine Really Say Obama is the First Jewish President?

Head Explosion Time....

President Bill Clinton was the first black president, but is President Barack Obama “the first Jewish president?”

While this startling insinuation isn’t definitively made in the latest issue of New York Magazine, writer John Heilemann toes the line, claiming that Obama is the “best thing Israel has going for it right now.” He writes:

AP Fact Checks Obama: Concludes Wealthy Pay More Taxes

Obama’s claim hinges on the fact that, for high-income families and individuals, investment income is often taxed at a lower rate than wages. The top tax rate for dividends and capital gains is 15 percent. The top marginal tax rate for wages is 35 percent, though that is reserved for taxable income above $379,150.

With tax rates that high, why do so many people pay at lower rates? Because the tax code is riddled with more than $1 trillion in deductions, exemptions and credits, and they benefit people at every income level, according to data from the nonpartisan Joint Committee on Taxation, Congress’ official scorekeeper on revenue issues.

Gov. Patrick Seen Riding In SUV During “Car-Free Week”

Hypocrisy Howler...."Let them eat cake"..."Do as I SAY...Not as I do"....typical Massachusetts Poll....SO SO superior to the common folk.....So much more important.....

Governor Deval Patrick did walk to a morning event on Beacon Hill — a stone’s throw from the Statehouse — but was quick to sheepishly admit that he probably hadn’t set the best example earlier in the day.

“You got me!” grinned the Governor.

Secret recordings raise new questions in ATF 'Gunwalker' operation

CBS News has obtained secretly recorded conversations that raise questions as to whether some evidence is being withheld in the murder of a Border Patrol agent.

Billionaire Backer Disputes Charges That Company Sought White House Help To Influence Testimony

As head of Space Command, Shelton had told a House Armed Services subcommittee that the LightSquared network could interfere with critical GPS systems used by fighting men and women the world over. After last Thursday’s hearing, subcommittee chairman Rep. Mike Turner, R-Ohio, told Fox News that Shelton had confided to lawmakers that he believed his testimony had been leaked to LightSquared, and that he had rebuffed requests to soften his testimony to benefit the company.

In ’05 Investing, Obama Took Same Path as Donors

One of the companies was a biotech concern that was starting to develop a drug to treat avian flu. In March 2005, two weeks after buying about $5,000 of its shares, Mr. Obama took the lead in a legislative push for more federal spending to battle the disease.

The most recent financial disclosure form for Mr. Obama, an Illinois Democrat, also shows that he bought more than $50,000 in stock in a satellite communications business whose principal backers include four friends and donors who had raised more than $150,000 for his political committees.

A spokesman for Mr. Obama, who is seeking his party’s presidential nomination in 2008, said yesterday that the senator did not know that he had invested in either company until fall 2005, when he learned of it and decided to sell the stocks. He sold them at a net loss of $13,000.

Obama faces questions on his investments

Now, please imagine this was George W. Bush........all Obama has to do at anytime in his career is feign - "Oh...I didn't know"....and he skips happily into the sunrise...

Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama said Wednesday he was not aware he had invested in two companies backed by some of his top donors and said he had done nothing to aid their business with the government.

The Illinois senator faced questions about more than $50,000 in investments he made right after taking office in 2005 in two speculative companies, AVI Biopharma and Skyterra Communications. Obama set up a trust that gave his broker authority to trade stocks on his behalf without his input, according to 16 pages of documents he released Wednesday.

Obama’s $1.5 Trillion Tax Hike

In return for all this new debt, we cut an immediate $7 billion (that’s “billion” with a “b”) out of the $3.6 trillion federal… well, it’s not a federal “budget,” because we still don’t have one of those, but let’s say $3.6 trillion in federal spending “urges” for fiscal year 2011. If Congress’ clever plan to set aside all that messy “representative democracy” stuff and hand off its fiscal responsibilities over to the 12-member Super Committee works out as planned, we’ll get another $2.5 trillion in deficit reduction over the next ten years. Even if all of that came in the form of spending cuts – and it won’t – that would work out to a measly $250 billion per year for the next ten years, from a government running trillion-dollar annual deficits.

Snobbery 101: Back to Those Old College Grades

When Dowd trashes Perry and Bush (why not quote the hardly impressive Kerry record?), she is arguing that long ago college records and scores are a good barometer of presidential success (that is dubious if one were to compare a Lincoln or Truman to Wilson or Carter), and, by inference, that the current president is also apparent proof. But does she have inside information about the Obama undergraduate record at Occidental and Columbia? If not, why not, given the supposed importance of undergraduate grades to liberal observers? I suppose we are to conclude that supposedly poor students like a Perry or Bush released their grades or had them leaked, but brilliant undergraduates earning top slots at Harvard Law have no need to release obviously straight-A transcripts and no worry that anyone would care?

Day of FAIL: Nationwide anti-capitalist revolution flops

Think "Day of Rage" was really "Day of Dopes"....

September 17 was supposed to be the Day of Rage, the starting point of an anti-capitalist revolution that (in theory) was going to sweep the country coast-to-coast. As I noted yesterday, “The plan is to protest in state capitals and major cities across the nation, but the focus of the revolution will be in New York, where a hoped-for 20,000 anti-capitalists will ‘occupy’ Wall Street.”

Illinois Congressman Apologizes to Islamic Students on ‘Behalf of This Country’

Just who the heck do you think you are "Apologizing" on MY behalf. Don't you DARE! You reap what you sow...

The intrepid crew at RebelPundit is highlighting a key moment in the surprise appearance by Rep. Mike Quigley at the American Islamic College Conference in Chicago over the weekend.

The Illinois Democrat addressed the group. RebelPundit was not impressed: “He rambled on about the typical racism and discrimination that the liberal left is so convinced America is rampantly infected with.”

Obama calls for broad tax increases - Spend $3.00 for every $1.00 we take in.....

Let's see....I spend $3.00 dollars for every $1.00 I make. Being a Small Business owner these days we don't even see the $1.00 - however I digress....
How long do you think I'd survive....How long do you think the USA would survive.....

President Obama on Monday proposed a deficit reduction plan that calls for about $3 in new tax increases for every dollar in additional spending cuts as he seeks to put his imprint on the ongoing talks with Congress over reducing the government’s staggering debt.

Exposing Liberal Media Bias...Sarah Palin bears "responsibility" for the venom tossed her way every day...?

She "Starred in a "Reality TV Show"......OMG....!!!
A show that exposed how wonderful this Country is....not about eating crunchy bugs....
Showed the world how beautiful Alaska is....not climbing a toothpick up Mt. Everest while arguing with my "Partner, spouse" whatever.....
Showed how lovely a normal family really is....not the Jersey Shore....

When you are a public figure...you do lend yourself for a "certain amount" of public discourse. What has happened to Sarah Palin...is beyond disgraceful. She does not bear responsibility for the way we have treated her. She does not.

Wrong. Tabloidish books about Barack Obama have generally not been featured like McGinniss. But Steve Roberts, a former Washington bureau chief of The New York Times and husband of TV journalist Cokie Roberts, actually argued on CNN that Palin somehow "bears some guilt here" for these tabloid tales, since she's become a celebrity and starred in a reality TV show:

James Carville: Tea Party Delights In Mass Death

Ya know...this reminds me of the Bush Derangement Syndrome. They spent 24 hours a day smearing Bush - berating him, screaming about how stupid he was...how stupid the people around him were...how secretive he was...AND...at the same time, how brilliant, maniacal and crafty he was - he was taking over the world...blah...blah...blah.....
Now it's the Tea Party. I can't get over what I am depicted as. Hell, I'm so tired on a daily basis....Mass Murder just isn't on my current check list....
However, asking the Government to get the HELL OUT OF MY wallet, my/our house, car, refrigerator, business, school social engineering, meal prep....AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

In a completely out-of-left-field smear posted on CNN.com, James Carville called the GOP presidential field "mortality-fascinated" and ripped the entire Tea Party as a bunch of bloodthirsty sadists.

The outspoken Democratic strategist, addressing Obama in a letter, wrote "This may be news to you but this is not going well. For precedent, see Russian Army 64th division at Stalingrad. There were enough deaths at Stalingrad to make the entire tea party collectively orgasm."
