Comprehensive List of Tax Hikes in Obamacare

Next week, the U.S. House of Representatives will be voting on an historic repeal of the Obamacare law. While there are many reasons to oppose this flawed government health insurance law, it is important to remember that Obamacare is also one of the largest tax increases in American history. Below is a comprehensive list of the two dozen new or higher taxes that pay for Obamcare’s expansion of government spending and interference between doctors and patients."

"Together We Thrive" Theme was Recycled Obama Campaign Slogan

RUSH: One thing on the pep rally-disguised-as-a-memorial on Wednesday night. I happened to, as I have been told, anger a lot of people yesterday by saying that the president delayed the memorial while waiting for the polling data to come in and the T-shirts to get printed. Well, guess what? I was right on both counts. The polling data shows, as you know, that the American people do not associate conservative rhetoric with what happened out in Arizona."

Media Research Center Documents Liberal Death Wishes Against Conservatives | CNSnews.com

(CNSNews.com) – The Media Research Center released today a list of comments made by members of the media in recent years that call for the death or suffering of conservative leaders. These quotes are evidence of the double standard that certain media exercise in blaming conservatives for the shooting in Tucson, Ariz., while ignoring liberals’ death-wish-like rhetoric against conservatives, said the organization in a press release."

Herman Cain - Presidential Exploratory Committee

Welcome to the new HermanCain.com, home to my presidential exploratory committee. Here, you will find all of the important information necessary to keep up-to-date with my decision-making process as I continue to determine how God wants me to best serve our great nation.

The American Dream is under attack. In fact, a recent survey found 67% of the American People believe America is headed in the wrong direction. Sadly, this comes as no surprise to those of us who have watched an out-of-control federal government that spends recklessly, taxes too much and oversteps its Constitutional limits far too often."

Michelle Malkin - Video flashback: Yes, some college students do know how to act at a massacre memorial

The president was pitch-perfect at Arizona service, but audience members were a rabble - NYPOST.com

Never before in the annals of national moments of mourning have the words spoken been so wildly mismatched by the spirit in which they were received.

The sentences and paragraphs of President Obama's speech last night were beautiful and moving and powerful. But for the most part they didn't quite transcend the wildly inappropriate setting in which he delivered them.

There was something about the choice of place, a college arena with the appropriate name of the McKale Memorial Center, that made the event turn literally sophomoric."

Houston Strategies: Krugman's muddled argument against Texas

Last week NYT columnist and economist Paul Krugman wrote a very popular column pointing to Texas' revenue shortfall and declaring it an example of the failure of conservative government. I found the whole piece a muddled mess and dismissed it, but you can't believe the notes I've gotten from people requesting a response.

The thing is, I don't really get his point. The bad national economy was going to cut state revenues no matter what. Is he saying we'd be better off if we had a fat government with easy cuts, instead of a lean government with tough cuts? How much sense does that make?"

And they laughed at Glenn Beck when he brought this up....

The world has moved a step closer to a food price shock after the US government surprised traders by cutting stock forecasts for key crops, sending corn and soyabean prices to their highest level in 30 months.

The price jump comes after the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organisation warned last week that the world could see repetition of the 2008 food crisis if prices rose further. The trend is becoming a major concern in developing countries."

Obama speech undercuts federal charge for judge's murder - Josh Gerstein - POLITICO.com

America's Enduring Strength | Facebook

Like millions of Americans I learned of the tragic events in Arizona on Saturday, and my heart broke for the innocent victims. No words can fill the hole left by the death of an innocent, but we do mourn for the victims’ families as we express our sympathy.

I agree with the sentiments shared yesterday at the beautiful Catholic mass held in honor of the victims. The mass will hopefully help begin a healing process for the families touched by this tragedy and for our country."

The American Spectator : The Dismissal of Sarah Palin

I am neither shocked nor surprised that this nation's most prominent liberals see fit to blame Sarah Palin for causing the shooting in Tucson that severely injured Democratic Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and claimed six lives. But it does sadden me."

The American Spectator : Barry's Angry Words

Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik, overseeing the investigation the Tucson shootings that left Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords in a coma and federal judge John Roll and five others dead, wasted little time in blaming heated political rhetoric for the crime.

Shortly after the first reports of the shootings, Dupnick said, 'The anger, the hatred, the bigotry that goes on in this country is getting to be outrageous, and unfortunately Arizona has become sort of the capital,' adding 'We have become the mecca for prejudice and bigotry.' Giffords' father, asked if she had any enemies, reportedly said that the whole Tea Party was her enemy."

The Theology of Blame - Bill Murchison - Townhall Conservative

The gagging of God, so far as courts, professors and advanced theologians can accomplish it, gets slightly in the way of attempts to puzzle out the Tucson massacre.

God with a gag over His metaphorical mouth was a less usual concept back when people talked more routinely than now about evil, not to mention the devil and all his works. A particular word would come up regularly in those old conversations -- sin, defined as stubborn, self-focused detachment from God, accompanied by defiance of His purposes. Sin was supposed to be bad: the more so because all were involved in it. Because all were involved, no one could tell what would happen next. Some nut might sidle into a political gathering, pull out a gun, and ..."

Quotes of the day -Hot Air

“Of all people, it is precisely those who have complained the loudest about the culture of debate — about the rhetoric of the Tea Party, the right wing’s harsh words and the baseless Obama-Hitler comparisons — who are now poisoning the debate with their own baseless insinuations. With little reliance on facts, they began searching for scapegoats for the attack and they found them, selectively, among the right wing, the Tea Party, Republican Party boss Michael Steele and Tea Party heroine Sarah Palin…"

American Thinker Blog: Left Blames the Constitution for Assassination Attempt on Rep. Giffords

It has been beyond the pale since Saturday....beyond anything I would have thought possible by our press, our supposed "Leaders".....
The shameless taking advantage of this tragedy has no bounds. Let's see, #1 - Destroy Sarah Palin, #2 - get the Guns! #3 - Re institute the Fairness Doctrine #4 - Blame Rush, Blame Glenn, Blame Sean, Blame FOX...blame ANYONE but the murderer...#5 - Get the Guns! #6 - Get the Constitution!
I could go on and on.....but it just gets me insane, and tires me out. I'm waiting for the "Blame Bush"...you KNOW it's coming. Anything the Far left could not accomplish at the ballot box this past election....they'll accomplish here with a sledgehammer. How very pathetic you ALL are.

The Left's attempt to de-legitimize the law that governs government, our Constitution, has taken a turn to the deranged.

On Washington-based WMAL's Chris Plante Show this morning, host Chris Plante was discussing the Left's attempt to blame the Right for the assassination attempt on Arizona Rep. Gabby Giffords. One liberal caller turned the conversation into a criticism of the reading of the Constitution on the floor of the House last week."

And ya know, hearing the news reports lately, kinda this ginned up controversy about us, common sense conservatives, inciting violence because we happen to oppose some of the things in the Obama administration.

Interrupted from audience: “We do it with our vote!”

Amen, brother! That’s what you do it with, with your vote! You got it right. We know violence isn’t the answer. When we take up our arms, we’re talking about our vote. Loughner Belongs to the Insane Party

The swiftness with which Jared Lee Loughner's mass murder was blamed on the Tea Party Right was deeply revealing.

Conservatives are often accused of possessing a black-and-white worldview that is impervious to inconvenient facts and thus unsusceptible to revision. The difference between the Left and Right, however, is not that one does and one does not possess a sophisticated worldview, but that each finds nuance and simplicity in different places."

Feds to decide what benefits health insurers must cover | McClatchy

THIS IS WHY Health Care is so unaffordable. If the Government got out of the "Un-funded Mandate" business....the free market could hopefully step in.

WASHINGTON — Even as House Republicans vow to repeal the health care law, government advisers are preparing this week to wade into one of the most contentious questions the legislation raises: What benefits must insurers cover?

The answer will affect tens of millions of Americans beginning in 2014: those who buy their own insurance and those who get coverage through small employers."

The Quest for an Obamacare Martyr | FrontPage Magazine

In 1995, a politically desperate President Clinton brazenly capitalized on the bombing in Oklahoma City, blaming his political opponents and their extreme right-wing rhetoric for the horrific incident. The Left’s Script of Hate | FrontPage Magazine

“Just the facts, ma’am,” Dragnet’s Joe Friday famously informed witnesses he interviewed. Oft-interviewed Pima County Sherriff Clarence Dupnik might adopt the catchphrase: “Save the facts, ma’am. Just the narrative.”

The narrative of right-wing rhetoric fueling accused mass-murderer Jared Lee Loughner proved so seductive to partisans that they didn’t wait for the compilation of facts, or burial of the dead, to advance their politically opportunistic story. If it helped the Democrats rebound in the wake of the Oklahoma City Bombing, why can’t this meme work for them after the attempted assassination of Democrat Gabrielle Giffords?"

Glenn Reynolds: The Arizona Tragedy and the Politics of Blood Libel - WSJ.com

Shortly after November's electoral defeat for the Democrats, pollster Mark Penn appeared on Chris Matthews's TV show and remarked that what President Obama needed to reconnect with the American people was another Oklahoma City bombing. To judge from the reaction to Saturday's tragic shootings in Arizona, many on the left (and in the press) agree, and for a while hoped that Jared Lee Loughner's killing spree might fill the bill."

Obama: ‘If They Bring a Knife to the Fight, We Bring a Gun’ - Washington Wire - WSJ

See how easy it is....and it means NOTHING! It means he's going to bring every lame brain idea he has into his argument....not a literal gun!

Mobster wisdom tells us never to bring a knife to a gun fight. But what does political wisdom say about bringing a gun to a knife fight?

That’s exactly what Barack Obama said he would do to counter Republican attacks “If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun,” Obama said at a Philadelphia fundraiser Friday night. “Because from what I understand folks in Philly like a good brawl. I’ve seen Eagles fans.”"

Dem planning bill that would outlaw threatening lawmakers - The Hill's Blog Briefing Room

My god, they didn't even take a deep breath before this became the political platform to take over whatever they haven't been successful grabbing as of yet. I'm waiting for the Health care angle to rear it's head any moment!

Rep. Robert Brady (D-Pa.) reportedly plans to introduce legislation that would make it a federal crime to use language or symbols that could be perceived as threatening or inciting violence against a federal official or member of Congress.

Brady told CNN that he wants federal lawmakers and officials to have the same protections against threat currently provided to the president. His call comes one day after Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.) was shot, along with 19 other people, at a public event in Tucson. A suspect is currently in custody."

Sympathy for the Devil: How the Left Sanctions Criminality | NewsReal Blog

Leftism is a cancer eating away at foundations of our society. It is in fact the goal of the Left to destroy those foundations so that our society can be replaced with the Marxist “Utopia” they believe in, a Hell on Earth of mass murder and rape camps in which they have the power over others they crave. At its core leftism is about inflicting pain and suffering on others and nowhere is that more obvious than in how the Left views and treats criminality."

Adding Insult to Tragedy | FrontPage Magazine

I think the by-line for this article says it all.....

The shooting spree that left six dead and fourteen wounded in Arizona on Saturday was a horrible tragedy involving a very unstable young man. It’s clear that twenty-two year old Jared Loughner, who was allegedly attempting to assassinate Arizona representative Gabrielle Giffords, has been deeply disturbed for a long time. As Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik observed: “there is reason to believe he has a mental issue.”"

Paul Krugman Blames Giffords Shooting on Palin, Limbaugh and Beck | NewsBusters.org

This is so inane....If he ever watched Beck - just Beck....he'd know he always - ALWAYS says non-violence is the ONLY answer. If someone doesn't agree with what he says, he tells you to check it out yourself. He says meet him in the arena of ideas, as does Limbaugh.
NOBODY should have their stands or beliefs snuffed out with a gun.
A pen can be far more damaging to a political career. But to blame these three after the 8 years of over the top; out of control vitriol that was thrown at George W. Bush.....is political theater at it's very worst.

While Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.) fights for her life in a Tucson, Arizona, hospital, liberal media members continue to point fingers of blame for Saturday's tragic shooting spree at prominent conservatives such as Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh, and Glenn Beck.

Jumping on this pathetic bandwagon Saturday was New York Times columnist Paul Krugman:"
