For those of you who don’t know who he is (and I don’t blame you), he’s the editor-in-chief of a blog nobody reads and a weekly online opinion columnist for a pathetic newspaper in decline. Despite his irrelevance, I think it’s important to point out his foolish misunderstanding of the global Jihad. His June 29th NYT opinion piece, The Myth of Modern Jihad is an attack on a Daniel Pipes article and an assessment Faisal Shahzad’s recent guilty plea as the failed Times Square Bomber. Wright, as do many other progressive knuckleheads and half-wits, suggests that we may be able to win the war against Jihadists if we would only immediately withdraw from Afghanistan and stop using military force against Muslim countries altogether."

Venezuela's legislature has voted to nationalize 11 oil rigs owned by the US firm Helmerich & Payne.

But one thing the President did not want to talk about at the meeting was the BP disaster, a Republican source told ABC News. And that, the source said, led to a pointed exchange with GOP senator Lamar Alexander from Tennessee.

At 2,000 pages, I prepared myself for a long weekend of reading complex statutory language. After all, I heard that Barney Frank wanted the House of Representatives to vote on the bill by Tuesday, so that President Obama could sign it by July 4. Clearly, time was of the essence.
The only obstacle? I couldn’t find a copy of the bill.

The Protecting Cyberspace as a National Asset Act, which is being pushed hard by Senator Joe Lieberman, would hand absolute power to the federal government to close down networks, and block incoming Internet traffic from certain countries under a declared national emergency."
