Biden’s oops moment in SF: “Giants on their way to Super Bowl”....

He may as well say it...heck, the Giant's are talking like they already won.....

Vice President Joe Biden had his “oops” moment Wednesday speaking in a 49er-crazed San Francisco when he told a crowd at a city political fundraiser that “the Giants are on their way to the Super Bowl.”

A Snapshot of Our Times .....

Well said. I am a photographer....I also watch for odd behavior...
I think the Police have an impossible task....and my heart bleeds for our freedoms....

Shawn Nee, 35, works in television but hopes to publish a book of photographs. Shane Quentin, 31, repairs bicycles but enjoys photographing industrial scenes at night. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department probably wishes both would find other hobbies. Herewith a story of today's inevitable friction between people exercising, and others protecting, freedom.

The Problem With Rich Republicans - Alexander's Essays.....

A week before the unwarranted criticism of Mitt Romney's tenure at Bain Capital, I had a debate with a friend who is himself a successful venture capitalist. Our debate was about the rights and responsibilities that attend free enterprise capitalism.

Fight over gun laws heats up....

Friday a federal judge threw out a lawsuit filed by gun shop owners to stop the Obama Administration from tracking certain gun sales, but now the National Rifle Association is firing back.

A spokesperson with the NRA says no amount of paperwork will ever stop drug cartels from getting their hands on guns, something the rule was designed to do.

He says laws, especially in New Mexico are already strict enough.

Brady Center loses bid.....

The PLCAA was passed in 2005 with broad bipartisan support. The purpose of the act is to prevent firearms manufacturers and retailers from being held liable for crimes committed with their products. In this case, the plaintiffs, who were represented by the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence, sought to hold the firearms retailer liable in a wrongful death and negligence claim because a firearm had been stolen from his store.

SOPA Derailed.....

U.S. House Judiciary Committee Member Congressman Darrell Issa (R-CA), and Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) opponent has announced that House Majority Leader Eric Cantor has promised him that he will not bring the bill to the floor. That mean, for all practical intents and purposes, that SOPA is dead.

Did the Founders Support Free-Market Capitalism?

Although the term capitalism was scarcely in use at the time of the Founding, the Founders supported the principle of economic liberty underlying it. The Founders understood that property rights and free markets were constitutive elements of what it means to be free. They therefore believed that government has a responsibility to protect the rights of all to participate in the economy by upholding contracts, lifting artificial trade barriers, and protecting the right to acquire, possess, and freely use property.

Valerie Jarrett and the Pulpit...

Even though I DO NOT feel Thomas Jefferson EVER envisioned how we have used his writing's to bastardize Religion and politics...IF WE ARE GOING TO...then there is a valid question here....

Valerie Jarrett’s partisan speech at Atlanta’s Ebenezer Baptist Church may have violated the IRS tax rules for churches’ political activities, said a prominent free speech attorney.

“It is problematic under current regulations,” said Erik Stanley, a senior legal counsel with the Alliance Defense Fund, which is campaigning to roll back IRS curbs on believers’ speech.

Ryan Jerome - Marine Corps Community for USMC Marine Veterans

They’re fighting to save Private Ryan — from jail.
Marines across the country are rushing to the rescue of former fellow leatherneck Ryan Jerome, who is facing prison time after trying to check his Indiana-registered handgun at the Empire State Building on Sept. 27.
In multiple blog and chat-group postings and letter-writing campaigns — some aimed directly at NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly, a Marine Vietnam veteran — the Marines are urging that the charges be dropped against their “brother.”
“It is just overwhelming, the love and support I am receiving from my fellow Marines,” said Jerome, 28, a former private first class whose father and grandfather were Marines and who was a TOW gunner before his honorable discharge in 2005.

Marines Rallying Support for Ryan Jerome Arrested for Gun at Empire State Building....

This Former Marine deserves OUR support! This is the Nanny State of NY & NYC run amok!

Dave Bruce, a former Marine himself and Boston lawyer, is putting together an online campaign through leatherneck.com that, according to the NY Post, “will send its first 14 e-mails to Kelly, Mayor Bloomberg and DA Cyrus Vance today.” There is also a Facebook group that supports Ryan Jerome’s release.

Seizing the Wealth of Landlords, One District at a Time

Absolutely amazing...however, NOT surprising!

Tenants soon started taking advantage of the Court's largesse by withholding rent, even when only minor violations, or none at all, existed. And tenants also learned that when faced with bills they could not pay, they could simply stop paying rent, charge their landlords with failing to meet their obligations under the local housing code, and squeeze out a rent abatement, thus allowing them to make ends meet. All too often, tenants even manufactured their own code violations and called city housing inspectors to issue citations to their landlords. Despite the fact that these homemade code violations were obviously self-inflicted, housing inspectors were happy to go along with the gamesmanship. In fact, it became their job to do so.

Gov. Cuomo's ex wife Kerry Kennedy in $40 million anti-oil deal

Just like Joe Kennedy....so "selfless"......what's he up to running his "non-profit"...?.....$750/M per year......selfless.
However, if these two were Conservative....VULTURES!!!!!!!

Governor Andrew Cuomo's (D-NY) ex-wife Kerry Kennedy, daughter of Robert F. Kennedy, stands to make up to $40 million while promoting a ridiculous $18 billion judgment from an Ecuadoran court against Chevron by indigenous peoples. That case, where the US judge hearing Chevron's countersuit stated that much of the evidence presented in Ecuador was "fraudulent," has been a windfall for western environmental groups who gleefully pounced on the opportuntity to politicize a case that never should have gone to trial.

Gun Charges Dropped _ More New York Nanny State nonsense!

Felony gun charges have been dropped against Tea Party Patriots co-founder Mark Meckler, who on Thursday agreed to plead guilty to a lesser charge of disorderly conduct and pay a fine.

In an episode that outraged 2nd amendment advocates, Meckler in December was arrested at a New York City airport after attempting to check a locked gun box holding his Glock 27 pistol and ammunition with a Delta Air Lines ticket agent.

Believing in Tim Tebow.....I do....and I'm a Pats fan!

I really like Tim Tebow. The whole thing...prayers, playing, off field. I really didn't like having to root against him twice this season ( I also REALLY like Tom Brady )...but this kid is special. He transcends football. Take a moment and read this. He isn't just throwing touchdowns on the football field.

Every week, Tebow picks out someone who is suffering, or who is dying, or who is injured. He flies these people and their families to the Broncos game, rents them a car, puts them up in a nice hotel, buys them dinner (usually at a Dave & Buster's), gets them and their families pregame passes, visits with them just before kickoff (!), gets them 30-yard-line tickets down low, visits with them after the game (sometimes for an hour), has them walk him to his car, and sends them off with a basket of gifts.

Obama and the Constitution: How Inconvenient!

How very true...and this part of Obama's make-up is what worries me every day....

It's really inconvenient. It prevents him from doing anything he wants, any time he wants. He has to be, like a naughty five-year old boy, be sort of sneaky about it.

So we have a President, the leader of the most powerful nation on earth, head of the strongest military the world has ever seen, who apparently has the strength of character of a five-year old boy.

Soros-Funded Media Matters For America Purposefully Omits Full Perry Quote....

Gov. Perry is right...let the Military take care of this....

“These kids made a mistake, there’s not any doubt about it,” he said. “[They\] shouldn’t have done it, it’s bad — but to call it a criminal act, I think is over the top.”
