Oliver Stone to RT: ‘US has become an Orwellian state’....
Americans are living in an Orwellian state argue Academy Award-winning director Oliver Stone and historian Peter Kuznick, as they sit down with RT to discuss US foreign policy and the Obama administration’s disregard for the rule of law.
Both argue that Obama is a wolf in sheep’s clothing and that people have forgiven him a lot because of the “nightmare of the Bush presidency that preceded him.”
“He has taken all the Bush changes he basically put them into the establishment, he has codified them,” Stone told RT. “It is an Orwellian state. It might not be oppressive on the surface, but there is no place to hide. Some part of you is going to end up in the database somewhere.”

Republican lawmakers say that after Falcon's visit, the Obama White House allegedly tried to push through a Lightsquared's proposed wireless network regardless of the objections emanating from military commanders who believed the project could disrupt key U.S. satellite systems.
At a hearing on Thursday, lawmakers on strategic forces subcommittee, especially the Republican chairman, Michael Turner, requested that the House Oversight Committee investigate if Falcone's company garnered any type of special treatment from the White House or from Obama appointees.

America's pathway to decline.....
Mr. Obama won despite chronic high unemployment, rising inflation and skyrocketing deficits. Our national debt stands at more than $16 trillion. We are the most indebted nation in history. It is almost impossible to dig our way out of this massive financial hole. Even if the president gets everything he wants in tax increases on the wealthy, it will only pay for 11 days of the government’s annual spending. It is class warfare masquerading as serious public policy. His soak-the-rich rhetoric is nothing more than smoke and mirrors, casting the illusion that he knows — or even cares — how to solve the debt crisis.
