Rahm Emanuel Contradicts Obama’s Clean Hands Claim on “Cornhusker” Kickback
Rahm Emanuel Contradicts Obama’s Clean Hands Claim on “Cornhusker” Kickback:
Hours before his embattled boss gave his first State of the Union address, White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel contradicted President Barack Obama’s claim made just two days before that he had nothing to do with the much maligned deal to get the vote of Sen. Ben Nelson (D-Nebraska) for the Senate’s healthcare bill just before Christmas."

Taxpayers pay $101,000 for Pelosi's in-flight 'food, booze'
However, let "We the People" eat cake.....
Taxpayers pay $101,000 for Pelosi's in-flight 'food, booze':
It reads like a dream order for some wild frat party: Maker's Mark whiskey, Courvoisier cognac, Johnny Walker Red scotch, Grey Goose vodka, E&J brandy, Bailey's Irish Crme, Bacardi Light rum, Jim Beam whiskey, Beefeater gin, Dewars scotch, Bombay Sapphire gin, Jack Daniels whiskey … and Corona beer.
But that single receipt makes up just part of the more than $101,000 taxpayers paid for 'in-flight services' – including food and liquor, for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's trips on Air Force jets over the last two years. That's almost $1,000 per week."

The importance of the American spirit, the perils of ignoring it | The Daily Caller :
The downward spiral of the Obama-Pelosi agenda is a direct result of either a terrible misreading of the American culture or a complete lack of respect for it. Navetor hubris, the lesson is the same—ignore the American spirit at your own peril.
The American spirit is not a theory or just a patriotic feeling, but the unique asset of the United States—the power to produce, to grow, to overcome and thrive. Whether it is on the battlefields, a Montgomery bus, or in the boardrooms, the American spirit is the innate power gifted to all in this country. It is the anointed weapon bestowed on us all to defend liberty, fight for our livelihood, and to clear the path towards success."

FACT CHECK: Obama and a toothless commission - Yahoo! News:
WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama told Americans the bipartisan deficit commission he will appoint won't just be 'one of those Washington gimmicks.' Left unspoken in that assurance was the fact that the commission won't have any teeth.
Obama confronted some tough realities in his State of the Union speech Wednesday night, chief among them that Americans are continuing to lose their health insurance as Congress struggles to pass an overhaul.
Yet some of his ideas for moving ahead skirted the complex political circumstances standing in his way.
A look at some of Obama's claims and how they compare with the facts:"

State of the Union: Barack Obama gets an F for world leadership – Telegraph Blogs:
As expected, Barack Obama’s 70 minute State of the Union address focused heavily on the economy and the domestic political agenda. This was hardly surprising in the aftermath of last week’s catastrophic defeat for his party in the Massachusetts special Senate election, where the Republicans scored an historic victory. American voters are turning strongly against the president’s health care reform package as well as his big government vision for the economy, which has contributed to spiraling public debt and mounting unemployment, now standing at over 10 percent."

Glenn Beck - Current Events & Politics - Joe Klein to America: You're Stupid:
A posting by Time Magazine's Joe Klein caught my eye yesterday. Essentially, he said you're stupid.
Now, Joe knows. Not only did Joe attend an Ivy League school, the University of Pennsylvania — OK, yes, that's probably the trailer park of the Ivy League, but still it is, technically, Ivy League... so it would be like a double-wide trailer — but not only did he attend Penn, he's also a member of the CFR, the Council on Foreign Relations."

I'm also geting the feeling they are going to do an end-around on SCott Brown....veerybody out there spread the word!!! Obamacare is rising from the dead!

The Obama administration appears to have come up with a novel way of financing trillion-dollar budget deficits – demanding IRA and 401(k) holders buy trillions of dollars in Treasury bonds.
With the Treasury needing this year to see another $1 trillion in debt to finance the anticipated federal budget deficit, and the Federal Reserve about to discontinue its 2009 program of buying Treasury bonds for the Fed's asset portfolio, the Obama administration is scrambling to find ways to sell government debt without having to raise interest rates."

How does David stay on message when he's opposing Goliath? That's the Republicans' double challenge this week. Even though a Republican won the special election in Massachusetts, the Democrats are dominating the news. Where are the headlines for the party of opposition -- which is nominally Republican but which includes millions of Americans who think of themselves as independents?"

Reflecting frustration among the Democrats over their inability to pass a health care reform bill, there has been a clamor on the left for the elimination of the filibuster rule in the Senate.

Paul Krugman, writing in the New York Times, calls the Senate “ominously dysfunctional,” due mainly in Krugman’s eyes to the sixty-vote filibuster rule. Another Times op-ed terms the filibuster “unconstitutional.”"

American Thinker: How Liberals Will Try to Destroy Scott Brown:
Three weeks ago, few had ever heard of Massachusetts State Senator Scott Brown. Now on his way to voting in the Senate, Brown has become a national political sensation. Pulling off the 'Massachusetts Miracle,' Brown is the new poster-boy for a GOP resurgence in 2010. But along with his sudden political fame, he will also be the newest target of liberal vitriol and vengeance. After all, he stole what was rightfully theirs -- the Democrats' absolute hold on Massachusetts' Senate delegation. He'd better be ready, as the liberal character assassins are sharpening their knives and devising strategies to discredit the amateur Senator-elect."

FT.com / Comment / Opinion - Democrats need to learn the blame game
For the rest of human history - everything that goes wrong in our lives will now be blamed on George W. Bush. I had soggy cereal this morning.....I'd like a word with Dick Cheney so I can whine. My car engine light came on....Bush sent it in from Crawford.....The stupidest man alive as the liberals called him.....the smartest man to EVER walk earth if he did HALF of what the liberals accused him of.....there is no longer a devil in religion, folks......just blame GWB for every rotten aspect of your life. Take responsibility for none of it.
