My Way News - New jobless claims rise unexpectedly
AND...this during the Holiday Hiring Season......everyone has to WAKE UP!!!!
My Way News - New jobless claims rise unexpectedly:
WASHINGTON (AP) - The number of newly laid off workers filing claims for unemployment benefits unexpectedly rose last week as the recovery of the nation's battered labor market proceeds in fits and starts.
The Labor Department said Thursday that the number of new jobless claims rose to 480,000 last week, up 7,000 from the previous week. That was a worse performance than the decline to 465,000 that economists had expected."

Senator Mitch McConnell - Press Releases
I'm not totally sold on ANYTHING the Republicans are doing these days either - however.....THIS is IMPORTANT! They are determined to pass ANYTHING so Obama can say "He Did'!?!....what in the heck kind of representation is that by OUR elected Officials?
Senator Mitch McConnell - Press Releases:
‘And here’s the most outrageous part: at the end of this rush, they want us to vote on a bill that no one outside the Majority Leader’s conference room has even seen. That’s right. The final bill we’ll vote on isn’t even the one we’ve had on the floor. It’s the deal Democrat leaders have been trying to work out in private’
WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell made the following remarks on the Senate floor Thursday regarding the importance of getting it right on health care reform:
“Senators on both sides acknowledge that the health care bill we’re considering is among the most significant pieces of legislation any of us will ever consider."

American Thinker: Cloward-Piven-Rand?:
If, as the old saw goes, politics makes strange bedfellows, what kind of bedfellows does the endeavor to restructure our entire society create?
Very strange bedfellows -- very strange bedfellows, indeed.
Regular visitors to American Thinker are well familiar with the names Cloward (Richard Andrew) and Piven (Frances Fox), along with their so-called Cloward-Piven Strategy. Sundry are the articles on Cloward-Piven adorning the august pages of American Thinker. Zero are the favorable ones."

American Thinker Blog: 236 year anniversary of the Boston Tea Party:
Happy birthday to the souls of the original Boston Tea partiers. Yesterday, 236 years ago, December 16, 1773, a group of brave colonists gathered, boarded the ships and threw the tea--with its hated British imperialist tax--overboard signaling an independence of spirit that has characterized the United States of America ever since."

American Thinker: On the brink
American Thinker: On the brink:
After Richard Nixon defused the 1960s student revolt by abolishing the draft, the brain trust of the revolutionary left shifted its strategic focus to Antonio Gramsci's teachings, realizing that it is the intelligentsia, not the proletariat, that is the true revolutionary force in society; that cultural dominance, not violent revolt, is the true path to power. A project known as the Great March through the Institutions was launched. Nearly four decades later, in November 2008, it triumphed in a historic electoral victory; the revolutionary wave crested and deposited in the White House Barack Obama, the most radical president in the history of the republic."

If this doesn't get your attention....then NOTHING will....here is the TRUE reason AND vision of Copenhagen....
Putting our economy in the hands of Chavez fans | Herald Sun Andrew Bolt Blog:
President Chavez brought the house down.
When he said the process in Copenhagen was “not democratic, it is not inclusive, but isn’t that the reality of our world, the world is really and imperial dictatorship…down with imperial dictatorships” he got a rousing round of applause.
When he said there was a “silent and terrible ghost in the room” and that ghost was called capitalism, the applause was deafening.
But then he wound up to his grand conclusion – 20 minutes after his 5 minute speaking time was supposed to have ended and after quoting everyone from Karl Marx to Jesus Christ - “our revolution seeks to help all people…socialism, the other ghost that is probably wandering around this room, that’s the way to save the planet, capitalism is the road to hell....let’s fight against capitalism and make it obey us.” He won a standing ovation."

Rick Perry doesn't like to talk about his days as a Democrat, particularly his role in 1988 as the head of Al Gore's presidential campaign in Texas.
But on Wednesday, after he accepted and endorsement from a group of builders in Dallas, I managed to get out a question about his relationship with Gore and where each stands on Gore's pet issue of climate change."

Shenanigans: Schumer has a flight to forget - ANNE SCHROEDER MULLINS | POLITICO CLICK
Neither side of the aisle is innocent when it comes to bad behavior...but don't you get the STRONG sense they think they are far - FAR superior to "We the People"?!....
That, somehow being elected makes them smarter than us, more deserving than the people who put them in their "lofty: positions.....
Shenanigans: Schumer has a flight to forget - ANNE SCHROEDER MULLINS | POLITICO CLICK:
Sen. Chuck Schumer loves the sound of his own voice, but it carried a bit farther than he might have liked on the US Airways shuttle from New York to Washington on Sunday.
According to a House Republican aide who happened to be seated nearby, the notoriously chatty New York Democrat referred to a flight attendant as a “bitch” after she ordered him to turn off his phone before takeoff.
Schumer and his seatmate, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.), were chatting on their phones before takeoff when an announcement indicated that it was time to turn off the phones."

Midwives in meltdown: A former NHS worker reveals how understaffed maternity wards are sinking into chaos | Mail Online:
Clutching her husband's hand and with agony and exhaustion etched on her face, a young woman struggled into a room in the maternity unit where I worked.
She was in the early stages of labour with her first baby, she was terrified, in excruciating pain and desperate for any crumb of support.
Helpless beside her, her overnight bag in his hand, her poor husban"

Does Avoidance of ClimateGate Reporting Represent MSM Suicide? | NewsBusters.org:
Notice how the mainstream media pretty much avoids the inconvenient scandal of ClimateGate? Although this scandal seems to mark the end of blind faith in the global warming dogma, it could also represent the final act of the long MSM suicide that has been going on for the past few years. That is the assertion made by author, broadcaster, and columnist Gerald Warmer in a fascinating UK Telegraph article:"
