Pelosi | Debt | Bush | RealClearPolitics
Drugs are obviously legal in San Fran......
Who is to blame for our debt crisis? 'The U.S. government can not default on its debt, largely accrued by President George W. Bush,' Pelosi said."

Michelle Obama | Media | RealClearPolitics
Ya think????
First Lady Michelle Obama: 'You know, it's … we're ready, you know. Our children, you know, could care less about what we're doing. We work hard to do that. Fortunately we have help from the media. I have to say this: I'm very grateful for the support and kindness that we've gotten."

A Politician's Dream Is a Businessman's Nightmare
"Our policies must keep the economy in mind. We must provide a foundation upon which the great American entrepreneur can build the great American economy. Government cannot create prosperity. We cannot tax or regulate a future filled with opportunity for our workers and their families. But as our former colleague now realizes, our stewardship requires that we encourage an environment, as he says, `where entrepreneurs will risk their capital against an expected payoff.' We are not doing this now; but we must begin immediately."

Economic trouble puzzles Fed chief, too
Great - the "Experts" are stumped.....SWELL.....
The economy's continuing struggles aren't just confounding ordinary Americans. They've also stumped the head of the Federal Reserve.
Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke told reporters Wednesday that the central bank had been caught off guard by recent signs of deterioration in the economy. And he said the troubles could continue into next year."

Obama releasing 30M barrels from US oil reserves - Yahoo! Finance
I don't think Obama's Poll Numbers count as a national Emergency!
Wary of a new surge in gas prices, the Obama administration has decided to release 30 million barrels of oil from the country's emergency reserve as part of a broader international response to lost oil supplies caused by turmoil in the Middle East and North Africa, particularly Libya.
The release from the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve will amount to half of a 60 million barrel international infusion of oil planned for the world market over the next month."

Obama's Choice: A Partial Exit, With Reelection in Mind - Thursday, June 23, 2011
Don't kid yourself. President Obama’s decision to withdraw 33,000 troops from Afghanistan before he stands for reelection is not driven by the United States’ “position of strength” in the war zone as much as it is by grim economic and political realities at home."
Godfather's Pizza | Iowa | Herman Cain | The Daily Caller
You may not have tried a slice of Herman Cain’s pizza — but the folks in Iowa likely have.
There are 116 Godfather’s Pizza locations in the Hawkeye State, according to the company’s website. That’s far more than most early presidential primary and caucus states.
The state’s familiarity with the pizza chain is something Cain, the former CEO of the company turned Republican presidential candidate, might actually be able to use to his advantage as he makes a play in the first caucus state next year."

How the stimulus robbed states of their sovereignty | The Daily Caller
Wasn't that always the "Plan"? The White House is beginning to look like the Death Star being built in the last episode of Star Wars....consolidating it's power......
Obama’s so-called “stimulus bill” did not do much good for our economy. On the contrary, numbers provided by recovery.gov show that whatever jobs the bill “created” have come at astronomical costs. One very telling example: as of the first quarter of 2011, each “stimulus” job in Wyoming had cost taxpayers $477,000."

Charles Krauthammer | Obama Afghanistan | Remarkable Speech | The Daily Caller
Ya know - god forbid - if Mitt Romney is the GOP nominee ( Lordie...it even hurts to type that! ) then he and Obama don't even have to debate each other....they both can just debate themselves since the BOTH take both sides of damn near every issue. ANYONE out there with a set????? ANYONE??
Over the past several weeks, President Barack Obama has taken fire from both sides over the presence of the U.S. military in Afghanistan. And on Wednesday night, he faced the American people in a short address and made clear his plans to draw down the U.S. presence in the central Asian nation."

General Motors | Bailout | Pensions Cut | The Daily Caller
No! You are just KIDDING me right???? The Obama folks were involved with everything GM.....Obama Motors Part 20....
New emails obtained by The Daily Caller contradict claims by the Obama administration that the Treasury Department would avoid “intervening in the day-to-day management” of General Motors post-auto bailout.
These messages reveal that Treasury officials were involved in decision-making that led to more than 20,000 non-union workers losing their pensions."

Our Wiley Coyote Moment Has Arrived
The country is imploding under the weight of fourteen trillion dollars of debt, sixty trillion dollars of unfunded entitlement programs, and a monetary policy bent on destroying the currency and economy. Government intervention in private citizens' lives and the economy has failed. The eighty year old Keynesian economics experiment that started under President Roosevelt is nearing an end.
The current state of economic affairs reminds me of the Saturday morning cartoon where the Roadrunner is chased by Wiley Coyote. The clever Roadrunner leads Wiley to the edge of the cliff, maneuvers quickly to safety, and Wiley runs off the edge of the cliff. Wiley remains suspended momentarily in mid-air before realizing his fate and plummets to the canyon floor."

Atlas Is Shrugging In The US And Flexing His Muscles Elsewhere
Ayn Rand was mostly correct when she wrote her magnum opus 'Atlas Shrugged.' She was incorrect in one important area. She assumed the final option for the wealthy and entrepreneurial class was to go on 'strike' and retire to Galt's Gulch. In the modern world the movers and shakers don't strike, they migrate."
Empty Sophistry, when directed at the War in Afghanistan, is still Empty Sophistry | RedState
Shortly after taking office in 2009, President Obama declared that a new strategy was forthcoming for the Afghan war. Over six months later, after weeks and weeks and weeks of “thoughtful deliberation” (and a few dozen rounds of golf), Obama used an awkward 45-minute appearance at West Point to boldly announce…that he was going to implement what amounted to the same strategy that President Bush and Secretary of Defense Gates had prepared just before the January 20, 2009 change of command. Bold and cutting-edge, that."
*Sigh* Reports of Tour Demise Are Greatly Exaggerated | Facebook
Imagine our surprise when reading media reports today that the “One Nation Tour” has been cancelled. Why didn’t anyone tell me? Oh, wait, that’s because it hasn’t been cancelled. (Good ol' media... you never cease to amaze!)
As I said myself at the end of the east coast leg of the tour, the summer is long, and I’m looking forward to hitting the open road again. The coming weeks are tight because civic duty calls (like most everyone else, even former governors get called up for jury duty) and I look forward to doing my part just like every other Alaskan."

Definition of Insanity: Senate Dems Want New Stimulus Spending in Deficit Reduction Plan
Usually it takes until around 7:00 AM for my head to totally explode....new record...5:56 AM....
I checked and re-checked the date on this story to make sure it wasn’t a couple of years old, because nobody could be this stupid now — right? Yeah, I know. I soon came to my senses and remembered who we’re dealing with.
Believe it or not, the Captain(s) of the Titanic are talking about taking one more run at the iceberg before the ship goes under:"

Jon Huntsman: McCain on Wheels
All I have to see is that the Main Stream media "likes" Huntsman....that's enough to make me run in the other direction! I like his Dad....but even at that - they gave Harry Reid's campaign a fortune. I get it - all politics is local...however....Harry Reid???? Run, Forrest RUN!
My syndicated column today dissects the media-manufactured candidacy of Jon Huntsman. While liberal reporters swoon, New Hampshire voters gave him thumbs down as he tried to gin up support yesterday. Here’s his pathetic explanation for calling Obama a “remarkable” leader. And via Allahpundit, check out the insipid, condescending Huntsman ad touting his “good,” “calm” demeanor. As opposed to the rest of us bad, angry conservatives who need to pipe down and get with the Obama/kumbaya program."

Glenn Beck and His Bashers | FrontPage Magazine
I actually wish I could go. And I'm not sure why....just as I wasn't sure why I had to g to 8/28. But I had to. My 10 year old granddaughter who attended 8/28 with me asked if we could go to Jerusalem....though she did admit she's rather go to Wasilla, Alaska to say Hi! to her absolute Hero, Sarah Palin and her family...but in her eyes - Jerusalem was a close 2nd. She doesn't know why. However she figures if Glenn is doing it...we should go.
Besides the fact I run a small business on life support and barely have enough cash to go see Harry Potter and the Deadly Hallows Part 2....I cannot explain the pull of Glenn. But it's there. I wish I could afford it...
My brother, who originally got me into Glenn years ago, has signed off saying "He's gotten too preachy"....
I, who out of our family of semi-lapsed Catholics am probably the furthest from the Church find Glenn's faith interesting when he sort of preaches from the mount, as it were. And I don't know why.
However, one thing I am seeing...Glenn has been right....almost a scary 100% right about all the things he's warned us about. Even if you think he's nuts....he's still right.
I try and devour the books he recommends....I try to warn those who do read our blog that "something" is coming. There is an odd small disquiet in the air. Something I can't explain...but I feel it everyday.
I just hope I'm strong enough to Stand with Courage when the time comes...I hope we all are.
When Glenn Beck’s upcoming Jerusalem rally was first announced last month, he said it would be called “Restore Courage”—modeled on his “Restoring Honor” rally last year in Washington that drew half a million. Or as Beck put it: “Last summer, we set out to restore honor in Washington, DC. This summer, it’s time to restore courage. It is time for us to courageously stand with Israel.”
A month later the Israeli daily Yediot Aharonot added more details. “Tens of thousands of excited Israelis and Americans,” the paper claimed,"

The Flotilla of Fools off to Gaza | FrontPage Magazine
The flotilla is coming, the flotilla is coming.
European and North American activists, journalists, and mercenaries have set sail—or are about to do so—on fifteen boats with passengers from twenty-two mainly Western countries to “break the Israeli blockade of Gaza.” Spurred on by the anti-Potemkin Village images of Palestinian Arabs living in wretched refugee hovels, fenced in by an allegedly “apartheid” Israeli wall, oppressed by “Nazi” Israeli soldiers for “racist” reasons (and not because the Palestinian leadership practices both Islamic gender and religious apartheid as well as terrorism)–the Good People are sailing to the rescue."

White House Insists Campaign Against Children's Cereal Is Voluntary - HUMAN EVENTS
After spelling out the latest government offensive against cigarettes—including warning labels featuring graphic pictures of the negative side of smoking—two top administration officials backed off from suggestions that the same heavy hand of government would be applied to makers of cereals, chocolate bars and other foods favored by children."
