EXCUSE ME???? An act of "solidarity"?! What about some solidarity on THEIR side to respect the family's of 9/11 victims? It isn't racist to say that's a lousy location for their Mosque...good lord...how many mosques already exist in NY? Nobody said BOO about them. 99% of us have NO problem with mosques - whatever.....but this one...is just a bad decision....let's call it a lack of "solidarity" with their host country....

City Council Meetings to Begin with Muslim Prayers | NBC Connecticut:
The Council announced Tuesday that it has invited local imams to perform Islamic invocations at the beginning of the Council meetings in September.
Though meetings don't regularly begin with any form of prayer, an email from the Common Council called it 'an act of solidarity with our Muslim brothers and sisters.'"
