Romney says Obama also has investments in Chinese companies and through a Cayman Islands trust....

Miller offered this analysis: "There is no evidence that the fund helped the Illinois pension fund avoid any taxes – in this respect, the Illinois pension fund would have been treated identically had the fund been organized as a domestic (U.S.) partnership. However, the fact that it was organized as a Cayman partnership might have allowed some taxable investors to defer some tax on foreign (non-U.S.) portfolio companies purchased by the Fund."

Atwood emphasized that neither Obama nor any other participant in the retirement system has anything to do with selecting investments for the fund.

Miller concurred with that, and added that Romney legitimately can claim that he has similar distance from foreign investments made through his individual retirement accounts.

The Tax Credit for Outsourcing Is Fiction .....

This is not too different from the “subsidies” for “Big Oil” that Democrats are always on about. There is some oil-industry favoritism in the law (in the tax code and elsewhere) but most of those “Big Oil” handouts are wide-ranging manufacturing tax credits and similar measures intended to encourage heavy industry in the United States. As with the Stabenow bill, the campaign allegedly intent on removing these favors would in fact simply exclude certain kinds of companies from exercising benefits normally available to most other businesses. It’s basically a bill of attainder against the oil industry.

Punishing businesses for making business decisions politicians do not like is banana-republic stuff; Barack Obama and his congressional allies should be ashamed of it.

Obama's Freudian Slip - He Wants to Export Jobs....

Obama has already exported about 415,000 jobs to China

Since President Obama took office, the U.S. has lost 582,000 manufacturing jobs (from 12,552,000 manufacturing workers in Jan. 2009 to 11,970,000 in Aug. 2012). Most of these jobs were exported to China.

During Obama's presidency, U.S. net exports (exports minus imports) of goods to China have fallen by $41.5 billion (from a negative 268.0 billion for the year ending Jan 2009 to a negative 309.5 billion for the year ending July 2012), as shown by the graph below:

Chris Matthews Freaks Out At Obama: "What Was He Doing?" ....

Don't think Comrade Chris was happy! I believe Mitt Romney understands he has to EARN the election...not be anointed as the "Chosen One"....

"Tonight wasn't an MSNBC debate tonight, was it?" Chris Matthews said after the first Obama-Romney presidential debate concluded on Wednesday night.

"I don't know what he was doing out there. He had his head down, he was enduring the debate rather than fighting it. Romney, on the other hand, came in with a campaign. He had a plan, he was going to dominate the time, he was going to be aggressive, he was going to push the moderator around, which he did effectively, he was going to relish the evening, enjoying it," Matthews said.

Obama attacks Romney on outsourcing but jobs council includes big importers .....

While President Barack Obama has attacked Mitt Romney for advising businesses that outsourced jobs, many of the executives on the president's own jobs creation council run or advise companies that import cheaper overseas goods instead of buying American alternatives, U.S. trade records show.
