But, before our representatives adopt either approach, they should first recognize that government accounting and budgeting is a big reason why we're in such fiscal difficulty. Any debt ceiling compromise should include a provision for more accurate government accounting and more transparent annual budgeting because we cannot improve what we do not measure...truthfully."

I was greeted today at the doctor’s office by a full waiting room, reminiscent of communist polyclinics. It was almost three hours before I saw the doctor for less than five minutes. He was unfocused and hurried.
Six months ago, the wait was fifteen minutes and the doctor was relaxed and had plenty of time to spend with his patients. I asked him why such a long wait and hurry. He rolled his eyes and said, “New Obama care regulations and compliance.”
On June 10, 2010, the President signed an Executive Order creating the National Prevention, Health Promotion, and Public Health Council."

A fire truck that rushed to the aid of victims on 9/11 returned to the World Trade Center site Wednesday as it was lowered like a huge flag-draped coffin into exhibition space for the National September 11 Memorial & Museum.
The truck was from the city fire department’s Ladder Company 3, which helped civilians escape from the trade center’s north tower on Sept. 11, 2001. The vehicle had sped to the twin towers from its firehouse in Manhattan’s East Village neighborhood with 11 firefighters aboard – all of whom died when the towers collapsed."
