In Cleveland today, Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan devoted an entire speech to a topic President Obama has largely avoided in this campaign: poverty. While the GOP team has routinely discussed the plight of the nation’s poor, references to poverty have been largely absent from Obama’s speeches. And today, Ryan made the Republican ticket’s most extensive statement yet on poverty and the question of how to promote upward mobility in America. Here is the speech, in its entirety:

Allred is seeking to unseal testimony by Romney in the divorce proceedings of Staples founder Tom Stemberg, a Romney surrogate and founder of a company that marks one of Bain Capital’s most prominent early successes. Stemberg also served as Romney’s campaign manager during the former Massachusetts Governor’s failed run for President in 2008.


However, Stemberg has a skeleton in his closet. His divorce proceedings with his ex-wife, Maureen, were apparently extremely nasty, and Maureen herself is the subject of a documentary that aired on Lifetime. Roz Zurko of the Examiner explains:

You Tube has allowed the video to remain online without taking it down for over two days when far less obscene content is routinely censored within hours.

Numerous Obama administration officials, including White House Press Secretary Jay Carney, U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and even Obama himself, went on TV at different times and told millions of American citizens that the attacks were due to a spontaneous protest sparked by the video. Now it has been uncovered that the administration knew within hours that a terrorist group had proudly admitted they attacked the U.S. compound.

In Obama’s America there are two groups: The “patriotic” folks who support higher taxes. And those who don’t. That’s the unpatriotic group. They don’t love their country as much as people who support tax hikes.
