Michael W. McConnell: The Health Vote and the Constitution—II - WSJ.com:

In just a few days the House of Representatives is expected to act on two different pieces of legislation: the Senate version of the health-care bill (the one that contains the special deals, 'Cadillac' insurance plan taxes, and abortion coverage) and an amendatory bill making changes in the Senate bill. The House will likely adopt a 'self-executing' rule that 'deems' passage of the amendatory bill as enactment of the Senate bill, without an actual vote on the latter."

Medicare fix would push health care into the red - Yahoo! Finance

IT IS A SHELL GAME! If you or I did this kind of accounting we would be destroyed!!!!

Medicare fix would push health care into the red - Yahoo! Finance:

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Congressional budget scorekeepers say a Medicare fix that Democrats included in earlier versions of their health care bill would push it into the red.

The Congressional Budget Office said Friday that rolling back a programmed cut in Medicare fees to doctors would cost $208 billion over 10 years. If added back to the health care overhaul bill, it would wipe out all the deficit reduction, leaving the legislation $59 billion in the red."

Boehner to Speaker Pelosi: “Every Member Should Stand Before the American People and Announce His or Her Vote” | Republican Leader John Boehner:

House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) today sent a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) requesting that the final health care votes be recorded by “call of the roll” so that every lawmaker is required to publicly announce their vote on the House floor.

“This weekend’s votes will be among the most consequential votes we will ever cast as Members of Congress,” Boehner says in the letter to Speaker Pelosi. “As such, it is my belief that every Member should stand before the American people and announce his or her vote as the final decision is made.”"

EXCLUSIVE -- Democrats plan doc fix after reform - Live Pulse - POLITICO.com

BREAKING NEWS!!! More evidence of financial shell game!!!

EXCLUSIVE -- Democrats plan doc fix after reform - Live Pulse - POLITICO.com:

Democrats are planning to introduce legislation later this spring that would permanently repeal annual Medicare cuts to doctors, but are warning lawmakers not to talk about it for fear that it will complicate their push to pass comprehensive health reform. The plans undercut the party's message that reform lowers the deficit, according to a memo obtained by POLITICO.

Democrats removed the so-called doc fix from the reform legislation last year because its $371-billion price tag would have made it impossible for Democrats to claim that their bill reduces the deficit. Republicans have argued for months that by stripping the doc fix from the bill, Democrats were playing a shell game."

The Heat is On: Congressman’s Office Says Constituent Calls Are ‘Harassment’ - Big Government:

Yesterday, I decided to call Rep. John Garamendi’s (CA-10) office in Washington, D.C. He’s my representative and I wanted to voice my opposition to the Senate Health Care Bill. I spoke with a female staffer and politely told her that, while I support health care reform, I oppose the Senate Bill because it wasn’t true “reform.” She said the Congressman thinks it’s a good bill and that he campaigned on health care reform. I told her I knew that. I also mentioned that I voted for him. When I tried to give her specific reasons why the Senate Bill would harm our system rather than reform it, she refused to listen. She said she was very busy and hung up on me. Being the persistent person that I am, I kept calling back. Each time I tried to finish my point, she hung up."

CNSNews.com - White House Won't Rule Out That Obama Will Sign Other Bills Such As Immigration Reform That Are Not Put to Yea or Nay Votes in Both Houses

Our President says "We" must have "Courage". Yet, they "deem" to pass legislation that the very people who put them in their lofty positions don't want.
They'll utilize anti-constitutional "tricks" so they don't have to do the "heavy lifting" or go on record with their votes...and yet "We" are supposed to show courage.
I think the American public is....showing more courage than 90% of our elected officials. We are showing the Courage of our Convictions. They - our Government - is waking the sleeping giant....
I love this country...I love it so much it hurts. I would do anything to protect it. I'm watching the fundamental destruction of our Republic.
Not fundamental change. Fundamental, deliberate destruction...and they don't even possess the "courage" to go on record with the courage of THEIR convictions, because they can't.
They possess none.
Please do not let up.
Health Care is destroying Massachusetts - the ONLY reason it is still standing is because the Federal government is POURING money into it to PROP IT UP! To keep it the "Shining Example of Universal Health Care" a paper tiger "success story". It's a SHAM!!!
Do the research. OPEN your eyes.
Today, stopping this bill - has NOTHING at all to do with Party affiliations...this has everything to do with the raw power of "We the People".
Our Founders wrote a magnificent document that made the voice and pen mightier than the sword. THATS the weapon we must each wield now...our voices.
Loud and clear and rising to the heavens! Make yourself heard. You are part of a wonderful land.....keep it this way for us...keep it this way for our future generations....do NOT let it slip away.
They are saying if this "trick" works...they will use it for immigration reform, Cap & Trade ( EI: The Destruction of Blue Collar America )...and god only knows what else......
We are the most powerful force on earth. Don't let them stop you - be heard! Shout from the heavens! Wield the mighty pen! Stop the madness! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!
