The Jurassic Press is missing much in their reporting on the $50 billion bailout of General Motors (GM). The Press is open channeling for President Barack Obama - allowing him to frame the bailout exactly as he wishes in the 2012 Presidential election.

The President is running in large part on the bailout’s $30 billion loss, uber-failed “success.” And the Press is acting as his stenographers. An epitome of this bailout nightmare mess is the electric absurdity that is the Chevrolet Volt. The Press is at every turn covering up - rather than covering - the serial failures of President Obama’s signature vehicle.

Be warned, basic logic is not a strong point in either case.

Of all the things I find most vile this election cycle....it's this notion being put forth by our own President and Elizabeth Warren - running against Scott Brown in Massachusetts.

I'm sitting here in an Office who's AC conked out several weeks ago. It's 8:00 AM and the temp. is already 80 degrees. I have my computer cabinets open and cheap dime store fans trying to cool them down....

My hands are sweating so much every piece of paperwork sticks to me....

So...I'm waiting for the "Help"...ya know....all those people and entities that got me here.....

Do any of them have a used AC I could HAVE. After all...I didn't do any of this myself......I'm too stupid.

We stand on the edge of a financial cliff daily.....hanging on by a thread as we have for almost 4 years now...

We have no health insurance and pray an illness doesn't take what little we have left....

I'm still waiting....where's all that HELP we're supposed to have?

You disparage business because you've never "worked" a day in your life.

You have no idea what week after week of not sleeping feels like....the worry...

This is what motivates me to try and keep you BOTH from Office again....

Echoing Elizabeth Warren ("there is nobody in this country who got rich on his own"), President Obama tells those who have been successful that "you didn't get there on your own." He also says "if you've got a business - you didn't build that." I think it will be news to the millions of small business owners in this country that they didn't actually create their business, "somebody else made that happen."

President Obama also dismisses the idea that you might have been successful because you were smart or worked hard. Irrelevant! Lots of smart, hardworking people don't succeed, therefore you only did so because someone helped you. Interestingly, Obama offers a teacher as an example of someone who might have helped you, seemingly contradicting his assertion that intelligence has nothing to do with economic achievement.

Jack Baruth surveys the literature and concludes: “The media really didn’t want to let anybody know that the new Malibu sucks.” But now the press is giving up the charade. … Don’t forget the New Buick Verano (a fancified Chevy Cruze). It has surged to #118 on the sales charts for the first five months of 2012! … Meanwhile, there are signs of panic in GM’s European operations. The company’s stock is in record low territory. … Note to Obama: Wouldn’t a $4/hour wage cut be helping GM right about now? The pay would still be good — well over $20/hour. Too bad you didn’t want to anger the UAW. …

Democrats are a little too obsessed with class warfare. Their latest stunt has party operatives surreptitiously following and videotaping Republican members of Congress and their families in their homes. The idea is to post videos of their cars and houses in an attempt to suggest GOP lawmakers are wealthy, stoking social tension and dividing voters. In this, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) has sunk to a new low.

Well here's a non-sensical comparison from Democrats for the Obama campaign to use. According to Paul Bedard at The Washington Examiner, the Obama campaign takes Batman's new enemy Bane, a pumped up venom gas breathing maniac, in the movie "The Dark Knight Rises" and compares him to presumptive GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney, because of the Massachusetts GOP'ers previous work with the investment firm Bain Capital, which Obama and Democrats say was a job killer. Get it--Bane and Bain? Bedard writes:

While some anti-gun enthusiasts may find it unpalatable, in many states it is not illegal to openly carry a gun while walking down the street. And when stopped and asked about it, one doesn’t have to produce ID to inquiring officials.

So is the case in Michigan. And 18-year-old Sean Combs is educating plenty of people on the issue after a jury sided with him last week following an arrest for carrying his loaded M-1 rifle down Michigan streets and refusing to initially show identification when questioned by police.

Stop for one second to think about how insane it is to ban firearm use simply because of some shots gone bad, we might as well ban swimming pools since the most common cause of death among children is drowning.

CBS reports that more than 110,000 acres have burned in Utah this year. The majority of the fires have been caused by humans. Ummm, should we ban humans?

Wikipedia reports that the Milford Flat Fire occurring on July 6, 2007 was the largest wildfire in Utah history, and caused by lightening. Ummm, can we ban lightening too?

Comedian George Lopez went on a vulgarity-laden rant during his HBO special Saturday night claiming presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney "ain't going to get" the Latino vote because he's "a f--king Latino and he won't admit it."

An Oregon town has reportedly canceled its annual fireworks show out of concern the Fourth of July pyrotechnics will scare sea birds roosting nearby.

Town officials in Depoe Bay have announced the cancellation of the annual pre-Independence Day fireworks show on July 3 following pressure from federal wildlife managers who said the noise disrupts sea birds in the area, the Oregonian reports.
