$32000.00 a trip to "get your mind straight"....
Most of us out here have to do that at $4.00 per gallon in our cars.
Most of us business owners have to do that in the same gas line....IF there is enough left over at weeks end to get paid with.
But we taxpayers...you know...the "ATM of America "....get to foot this bill...one he "regrets"...doesn't plan on repaying...but regrets....thanks....Leon....means alot.
Just knowing I don't think I can make payroll this week after working 80 hours...but knowing you'll "try" and find savings so it won't cost THAT much makes me feels loads better....Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said Monday he regrets the cost to taxpayers for his weekend trips to his Carmel Valley home, but says it's important "just to get your mind straight and your perspective straight."
Panetta said he'd try to find some savings, with each round trip costing approximately $32,000.
