As the Obama administration enters its second year, I -- and undoubtedly millions of others -- have struggled to develop a shorthand term that captures our emotional unease. Defining this discomfort is tricky. I reject nearly the entire Obama agenda, but the term 'being opposed' lacks an emotional punch. Nor do terms like 'worried' or 'anxious' apply. I was more worried about America's future during the Johnson or Carter years, so it's not that dictionary, either. Nor, for that matter, is this about backroom odious deal-making and pork, which are endemic in American politics."

OK...I have to produce my Driver's License like once a day. Even when I travel in the US, I carry my Passport after 9/11...I have about 4 different types of ID...required. Now it's racist to ask someone here "ILLEGALLY". We're going to have to carry Health Insurance Cards once Obamacare is instituted...mandated by Federal law and totally unconstitutional...but WE HAVE TO!?!?!?!?!?!

Congress's favorability ratings stand at 25%, the lowest in the poll's nearly three decade-long history. The Pew Poll also found that the more upset independents are about the current state of politics, the more likely they are to throw out the Democrats. The independents that are most upset favor Republicans 66% to 13%.
All of this explains why Democrats hope Sen. Chris Dodd's proposed financial reform legislation will put some distance between them and the Obama administration's reckless spending policies over the past year. They believe that by overhauling the rules Wall Street lives by, they can redirect populist anger away from them and toward the financial sector. But voters are smart enough to see through the ploy."

Republicans are beginning to attack the financial regulatory reform bill by attacking the Democrats pitching it as simply not believable.
“Just think about some of the things Americans have been told,” Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Kentucky, said on Thursday. “As a senator, the current President railed against deficits and debt. He said America has a debt problem and that it was a failure of leadership not to address it. Yet last year his administration released a budget that doubles the debt in five years and triples it in 10. The debt has increased over $2 trillion since he took office. And in February, the federal government ran the largest monthly deficit in history.”"

When I saw the accusation of Sedition being casually flung out against Rush, Glen, The Tea Party attendees, etc. over the weekend...I have to say I was floored.
Sedition? My 9 year old granddaughter went to the Tea Party gathering in Boston with me because she worries the economy may destroy her family.
Does that mean she is guilty of "Seditious" behavior...or experiencing the most marvelous arena for Free Speech and new ideas?
Racist, Homophobic, Right Wing, Anti-Gay, Anti-Poor, Anti-Obama......and now Seditiocious?
These people couldn't fight in the" arena of ideas" if they were armed with a MOAB!!!!!!!!
Ronald Reagan once said: "Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children's children what it was once like in the United States where men were free."
