Just a few years after Chinese companies lined up to sell shares on Wall Street, a growing number are reversing course and pulling out of U.S. exchanges.

This week, Focus Media Holding Ltd., announced its chairman and private equity firms want to buy back its U.S.-traded shares and take the Shanghai-based advertising company private. The deal would value Focus Media at $3.5 billion, according to financial information firm Dealogic.

The Treasury Department says in a new report the government expects to lose more than $25 billion on the $85 billion auto bailout. That's 15 percent higher than its previous forecast.

In a monthly report sent to Congress on Friday, the Obama administration boosted its forecast of expected losses by more than $3.3 billion to almost $25.1 billion, up from $21.7 billion in the last quarterly update.

Noonan: Ryan must 'quickly' explain plan to save entitlements....

A judge denied a request to dismiss charges Wednesday against Rodney Brossart, a man arrested last year after a 16-hour standoff with police at his Lakota, N.D., ranch. Brossart's lawyer argued that law enforcement's "warrantless use of [an] unmanned military-like surveillance aircraft" and "outrageous governmental conduct" warranted dismissal of the case, according to court documents obtained by U.S. News.

White House issues embarrassing apology to Charles Krauthammer over Churchill bust gaffe .....

The Obama presidency is fond of issuing apologies for America on the world stage, but very rarely makes them at home to Americans. White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer has just issued one to Washington Post columnist and Fox News contributor Charles Krauthammer, who last week wrote an op-ed berating the Obama administration for removing a bust of Sir Winston Churchill from the Oval Office when it came to power. Pfeiffer had issued a stinging attack on Krauthammer, alleging that his Churchill bust reference was “100 percent false.” Krauthammer was of course 100 percent correct, and the British Embassy in Washington even issued a statement contradicting Pfeifer’s remarks.

The documents reveal that political appointees within DOJ were conferring about the status and resolution of the New Black Panther Party case in the days preceding the DOJ’s dismissal of claims in that case, which would appear to contradict Assistant Attorney General Perez’s testimony that political leadership was not involved in that decision. Surely the public has an interest in documents that cast doubt on the accuracy of government officials’ representations regarding the possible politicization of agency decision-making.

But Republicans, weary of the NRA invincibility narrative, wonder why there's no discussion of Hollywood's lobbying clout. After all, some argue, movie studios and television stations reap huge profits selling violence -- like the kind featured in the Batman movie whose fans Holmes targeted -- and have developed a sophisticated political and lobbying strategy to ensure government doesn't get into the business of regulating it.

USA! USA!”

Pelosi: President Obama's Been to Israel ‘Over and Over Again’ ...

No, no, and no. Contrary to Pelosi's apparent claim, President Obama hasn't been to Israel over and over again. He's never been as president, which is certainly what Pelosi implied. Well, maybe he visited Israel "over and over" before becoming president, and that's what Pelosi meant to say? No. When he was senator, Obama went on two trips to Israel, once with several other freshmen members of Congress, and then as a presidential candidate. And he'd never been interested enough in Israel to visit as a private citizen. So much for the notion that Obama's been "over and over again."

Scalia: Guns May be Regulated.....

Justice Antonin Scalia, one of the Supreme Court's most vocal and conservative justices, said on Sunday that the Second Amendment leaves room for U.S. legislatures to regulate guns, including menacing hand-held weapons.

"It will have to be decided in future cases," Scalia said on Fox News Sunday. But there were legal precedents from the days of the Founding Fathers that banned frightening weapons which a constitutional originalist like himself must recognize. There were also "locational limitations" on where weapons could be carried, the justice noted.

Some surprise, Team Obama planned meet with 3 Veterans (actually, campaign volunteers) at diner in "surprise" stop ....

On Tuesday morning, all three met with a staffer and were driven to the restaurant and arrived shortly before Obama. The three said the restaurant workers and other patrons received notice only a few minutes before the president arrived.

Voter fraud has a shocking new meaning in eastern Kentucky.

Obama's Regulation Con....

It conveys the impression that he is aware that it has been estimated that regulations drain 1.75 trillion out of the U.S. economy yearly. In other words it conveys the impression that he understands that well intentioned regulations, which often come spewing out government agencies after the latest crisis from oil spills to banking disasters, come at a cost and that he is no regulator-in-chief. That is the impression that the claim is meant to make.

The reverse is the case.

House GOP Leaders Indicate They Will Fund Implementation of Obamacare ....

When asked whether the House Republicans would permit or not permit funding for Obamacare in whatever legislation is enacted to fund the government after Sept. 30--when the current funding legislation runs out--House Speaker John Boehner responded that "our goal would be to make sure the government is funded," thus indicating that House Republicans do plan to fund implementation of Obamacare past Sept. 30.

Yesterday the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) dealt another blow with its updated outlook on the health care law, as it attempted to integrate the Supreme Court’s ruling into its projections.

Although Obamacare spends more than $1 trillion to get people covered, CBO predicts it will still leave 30 million Americans uninsured, falling far short of what was promised.

NASA Alludes to ‘Unprecedented’ Greenland Ice Sheet Melt Having Some Natural Origin ....

Although some of these descriptions aren’t entirely untrue, even within NASA’s own announcement of this observation, a Goddard Space Flight Center scientist said these types of melting events occur every 150 years, on average.

With the last event happening in 1889, Lora Koening said “this event is right on time.”

She does note that if strong melting events like this continue in future years, “it will be worrisome.”

My granddaughter is in this for our company.. I can't tell you how much I love owning a business...and how much it has taken from me personally. Since late 2008....we feel like we are at war...not running a business......many 1000 hour nights of no sleep worried to death about getting through the next week....and OUR President says "we didn't build this"......... really?   Since Jan. 1 of this year, according to congressional testimony presented Thursday by the Government Accountability Office, the Federal Aviation Administration has authorized 106 federal, state and local government “entities” to fly “unmanned aircraft systems,” also known as drones, within U.S. airspace.
