When you listen to our smooth talking Governor.....it's almost easy to be taken in.....
Mitt Romney vs. Deval Patrick on Jobs.
In January 2003 the month Mitt Romney took office Massachusetts, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics had 3,223,000 jobs. In January of 2007 the last month of Mitt Romney's governorship the Commonwealth of Massachusetts had 3,272,000 jobs. That is a net job growth of 49,000 jobs. Romney took office in the midst of the worst jobs recession ever in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
When Deval Patrick took office in January of 2007 Massachusetts had 3,272,000 jobs. In July of 2012 Massachusetts has 3,249,000 jobs. That is a net loss of 23,000 jobs.
Mitt Romney grew jobs taking office during the worst jobs recession in Massachusetts history, Deval Patrick has lost a net 23,000 jobs. Those are the facts. Facts don't lie.
